It’s not NBC’s disgusting attempt to protect predator and Clinton buddy Weinstein that has Debra so upset. This is something much more grievous.
There’s apparently some majorly important drama going on with NBC and their firing of a woman (Gabrielle Union) who claims it was due to racism.
Gabrielle complained about a white male performer who dressed up as Beyonce and changed the color of his skin. This is apparently “racially insensitive.”
Men dressing up as women in drag and pretending to live their lives as women is A-OK just as long as they don’t dare do anything to their skin color. Hey, I don’t make up the progressive rules.
TDS-infected actress Debra Messing (who worked for NBC for on her show Will & Grace from 1998 to 2006) is now getting in on the drama to call out racism and sexism, of course.
People Magazine reports that Messing supported a tweet from another fellow Hollyweird actress about the treatment of Gabrielle Union:
“…the Will and Grace star criticized the network in a group of scathing tweets.
“Thank you for this @EllenPompeo,” Messing, 51, wrote. “This is disgusting behavior from a network that has been my professional home for decades. Yes, women become ‘difficult,’ when their insistence on a respectful and professional working environment, is ignored.”
“Addressing a hostile work environment is inconvenient when there is a huge money making machine that is involved. It is cowardice, greed, and protection of the status quo revealed. Being ‘hands off,’ is inexcusable and reflects a laissez faire attitude toward systemic racism and sexism,” she continued, tagging Union.”
Read about all the drama and virtue signaling here.
Spare me your faux indignation about the “disgusting behavior” from the NBC network.
Don’t tell me you’ve lived under a rock during Ronan Farrow’s story about your “professional home” killing the Weinstein story during the 2016 election while YOUR preferred candidate was running for president. Talk about “protection of the status quo.”
Messing claims she was “shocked” by the Weinstein allegations and that she “knew nothing” about them. Yeah, riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight. Hollyweird is a small town girl and if we knew, then YOU knew.
Debra Messing worked with director Woody Allen in the 1998 film, “Celebrity.”
I performed many searches for Debra Messing and Woody Allen and found nothing where she criticized the accused pedophile.
Being “hands off” about predators while seeking to maintain that “Celebrity” status and huge NBC-money payout is inexcusable, Debra. But good thing you’re so worried about a man dressing up to perform as Beyoncé.
Typical Hollyweird Hypocrite.
