After Seattle mass shooting carried out by known career-convicts, business owner says, “I don’t know what happened to our beautiful city”

There was a mass shooting in downtown Seattle on Wednesday where one was killed and seven injured. The perps are 24-year-old KNOWN gang members with EXTENSIVE criminal records between the two of them: 66 arrests and 34 convictions, including four felonies. Yet for some reason the perps weren’t in jail.

How did the demorat-run leadership in King County respond? By calling for more gun control laws.

MyNorthwest.com has a story about one restaurant owner nearby the shooting who is complaining about the loss of business he faces because of this incident (he had 68 canceled reservations). He states, ““For a small business like me, that means the entire payroll for the week. It was so devastating.”

Here’s the kicker: “I don’t know what happened to our beautiful city. We used to have this amazing Westlake Center; downtown was a treat. You would bring your family, ‘Let’s go downtown to shop and dine.’ And it’s gone. It doesn’t exist anymore.”

I’ll tell you how it happened: Seattle/King County has been run by demorats for decades.

With the easy access to today’s news and politics via your handheld device, there is really no reason for one to not understand what is going on in your own community. The problem lies in the inability of progressives to understand how their failed policies have destroyed that once vibrant city.

Here’s a refresher course for this Seattle restaurant owner and anyone with a true desire to understand how liberalism ruins the lives of law-abiding, taxpaying citizens:

King County judge on why repeat offenders get no punishment: “We’re just talking about property crime
Seattle repeat offender attacks man outside courthouse; was just released from jail earlier this month
Violent repeat offender in Seattle assaults toddler with coffee, two days after his jail release
Insanity in Seattle: Homeless man attempts to kidnap child. Guess how many previous arrests/convictions he has
How many convictions does it take for Seattle City Attorney to place a homeless criminal in jail after his latest assault?
Sanctuary King County, WA: Convicted rapist and illegal alien freed after 9 months returns to attack his disabled victim second time
Sanctuary King County: Man murdered in his sleep by illegal alien with previous felony

I could go on and on with the stories we’ve done on this blog about the inept criminal justice system in Seattle/King County.

It really is no mystery as to why Seattle has become a failed city – along with San Francisco, Los Angeles, Baltimore, Chicago, Portland, etc. Gee, I wonder what they all have in common?

What is a mystery is why liberals keep electing progressive “leaders.”

Washington State gun control laws designed to punish law-abiding citizens

Demorats’ gun control laws are conduits to achieving their utopia: Removing firearms from law-abiding citizens.

Washington Gov. Jay Inslee speaks, Thursday, Feb. 2, 2017, at the Capitol in Olympia, Wash. Inslee was urging the passage of bills enforcing safe gun storage and enhanced background checks when buying or selling assault weapons. (AP Photo/Ted S. Warren) ORG XMIT: WATW110

Washington State (run by demorats) has implemented numerous gun control laws that have had no effect on criminal behaviors.

Earlier this month the Seattle Police Department (SPD) released its annual report on gun violence, and statistics show the number of shootings in 2019 is up from 2018. One of the causes is an increase in gang-related violence.

Instead of addressing the root cause of gun violence, Washington State Attorney General Bob Ferguson believes part of the solution is to ban “assault weapons” and high-capacity magazines.

Proof that demorats only want to control legal firearms is the fact that known criminals are routinely set free to terrorize tax-paying citizens. There is a severe lack of proper punishment for criminals due to – in my opinion – social justice warriors’ desire for “criminal justice reform.”

Look at what happened in Seattle this week: Three shootings where one person was killed. The majority injured happened at a shooting on Tuesday in downtown Seattle in broad daylight (7 injured, the 1 killed).

Guess who the perps were? “KNOWN GANG MEMBERS.”

MyNorthwest.com has more details about these KNOWN perps:

“KIRO 7’s Amy Clancy reports that police are searching for a pair of 24-year-old male suspects who are both “known to SPD,” according to a source in law enforcement.

Clancy went on to note that court documents reveal both suspects are “‘documented gang members’ with extensive criminal histories.” Those documents detail multiple arrests for robbery, theft, and false statements to a public servant among other charges, for one suspect, while the other had been “booked 11 times since 2014” for theft, domestic violence, a DUI, and violating a no contact order.”

MyNorthwest.com reports that 45 police units were dispatched to the scene at the time of the shooting.

Seattle Police Chief Carmen Best said to expect a strong police present in the area “until further notice.”

Until further notice you can expect that since the criminal justice system does not adequately punish criminals, they will not follow any gun control laws.

And until further notice, you can expect that demorats will continue in their efforts to strip law-abiding citizens of their Second Amendment right.

Heroism and Second Amendment rights set aside: USA Today pushes a gun control narrative

USA Today tweeted yesterday the following: “Opinion: Jack Wilson is exactly the type of person you want around with a gun because he’s a firearms instructor. But we know nothing about the at least six other parishioners who also appeared to draw their handguns. And that’s terrifying.

“Journalist” Elvia Diaz

From the headline at the opinion piece: “Armed, even in church: Texas shooting is about a lot more than Jack Wilson’s heroism”

The author, a journalist named Elvia Diaz, further asks, “Jack Wilson is a hero. But why were so many other parishioners armed? And how did the shooter get his gun, given his criminal history?

She’s asking so many questions, let me help her out with a few answers…

For example, why must one be armed in church? Because evil exists EVERYWHERE, Elvia.
Why were so many parishioners armed? Because of the Second Amendment.
How did a criminal get a gun? Because criminals DO NOT FOLLOW the law.

Here’s excerpts from her opinion piece:

“Jack Wilson is a hero alright. It took him only six seconds to kill a gunman at a Texas church, saving countless lives.

Unfortunately, that kind of split-second heroism has been turned into a PR tool by gun advocates.

The reality of Wilson’s heroism is a lot more complex. He wasn’t just an ordinary parishioner, as gun advocates may want you to believe. The church’s volunteer security team member is a firearms instructor, gun range owner and former reserve deputy with a local sheriff’s department, according to a New York Times detailed account.

The real story here isn’t heroism

Of course, that wouldn’t matter to the churchgoers of that community of roughly 18,000 residents, right? What matters is that Wilson saved them with a single shot and other gun-wielding parishioners were ready just in case Wilson failed.

But have we really reached a point when each of us need to carry a firearm anywhere we go? Gun advocates certainly think so. They point to Wilson and the new Texas law that allows him and others to carry firearms inside the church.

The Second Amendment gives Americans the right to bear arms. And that isn’t going anywhere. But that constitutional amendment doesn’t spell out the types of firearms Americans should bear, nor does it give Americans the right to sell them to anyone to carry anywhere.

We know firearms are readily available to anyone who wants one, really. And that’s part of the problem. Sunday’s shooting isn’t just about Jack Wilson’s heroism. It’s about how Kinnunen got a hold of a weapon in the first place, given his criminal record.

If this womyn has NO CLUE as to how a criminal can obtain a gun as a prohibited possessor, I can’t help her. She’s intent on pushing a gun control narrative.

And shame on her for turning Jack Wilson’s excellent taxpayer relief shot that resulted in saving human lives into a “PR stunt” by gun advocates.

Congrats demorat-run Baltimore, you did it! City breaks record for killings per capita in 2019

One day after I reported that Baltimore was nearing a record homicide rate, they achieved it!

WISHTV has the details:

“With just over 600,000 residents, the city hit a historically high homicide rate of about 57 per 100,000 people after recent relentless gunfire saw eight people shot — three fatally — in one day and nine others — one fatally — another day.

The new rate eclipses that of 1993, when the city had a record 353 killings but was much more populous before years of population exodus.

By contrast, New York City, with more than 8 million residents, had 306 homicides through Dec. 15.

The total is up from 309 in 2018 and matches the 342 killings tallied in 2017 and 2015, the year when the city’s homicide rate suddenly spiked.”

The Baltimore Sun has more grim details:

A working mother gunned down in front of her children at an East Side deli. A man who succumbed to the gunshot wounds he suffered two weeks ago. A baby believed to be shaken to death. A man shot to death inside a car.

The four killings this week push the 2019 body count to match the second-most on record: 342 homicides.

Worse yet, the homicide rate for 2019 has already set a grim record of 57 killings per 100,000 people.

The anti-Second Amendment folks’ responses to this madness in a strict gun-controlled city?

CRICKETS:

Everytown

Guess the situation in Baltimore doesn’t warrant a response from them since it doesn’t fit their narrative.

Alleged ISIS supporter commits murder with stolen gun; victims sue S&W for their “ultra-hazardous” product

Faisal Hussain: Not responsible because of a hazardous product.

In 2018, a “psychotic, depressed ” and “very disturbed” Faisal Hussain shot 16 people in Greektown (Toronto). Two people died. Hussain cowardly committed suicide.

Hussain used a .40-calibre Smith & Wesson that HE STOLE in Saskatchewan in 2016 during a break-and-enter at a gun store.

According to Heavy, the Pakistani Hussain may have expressed support for ISIS. Wikipedia says that to this day there is no evidence that there was any connection between the shooter and his support for ISIS.

In a class action lawsuit filed by the victims of this shooting, they claim that the gun manufacturer failed to implement “key safety features” that could have prevented the attack.

Those features would be smart-gun technologies to prevent “unauthorized” users from firing the gun.

Without the technology in place, the lawsuit claims it was “reasonably foreseeable” people such as Hussain could inflict widespread damage with a stolen weapon. Read the details about the class action lawsuit here.

Setting aside the unreliability of smart gun technology, wasn’t it “reasonably foreseeable” that people such as Hussain would not inflict such widespread damage due to Canadian laws?

I mean, I’m no lawyer and I do not have a thorough knowledge of Canada’s criminal laws yet have a few questions:

Isn’t stealing ILLEGAL?
Isn’t breaking and entering ILLEGAL?
Isn’t assault ILLEGAL?
Isn’t assault with a deadly weapon ILLEGAL?
Isn’t first-degree murder ILLEGAL?
Isn’t felony murder ILLEGAL?

I’d argue that the “ultra-hazardous” actions of this shooting originated with the CRIMINAL shooter.

Where do you draw the line with product manufacturers and CRIMINALS who are WILLING and INTENT on committing ILLEGAL behaviors?

Guess the Canadian courts will decide.

Gun-controlled California: Suspects linked to Orinda Halloween gang-related shooting were prohibited possessors

Dones and Johnson: Not worried about the safety of CA citizens/AP photos

Last Halloween a shooting took place at an Airbnb rental in Orinda, CA. Five people were shot and killed. The party had been advertised on social media. Many of the guests in attendance were rival gang members.

Just earlier in October Governor Newsom signed 15 MORE gun control laws “aimed at strengthening gun control and the gun violence restraining order program.”

According to Gov. Newsom, “California is once again leading the nation in passing meaningful gun safety reforms.”

ABC 10 reported at the time that former Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords, co-founder of Giffords: Courage to Fight Gun Violence said, “The legislative package Governor Newsom signed today will help make California safer for all who call it home.”

Guess two felons in possession of handguns missed the memo about keeping California safer.

SF Gate reports that two suspects associated with the Orinda shooting – Domico Dones and Frederick Johnson – were arrested and charged with felon in possession of a handgun with a laser scope and ammunition (Dones) and similar charges for Johnson (who also faced an additional charge of child endangerment).

Agents with the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives linked a gun used in the shooting in Orinda to other shootings in the Bay Area. More from the SF Gate report:

“It wasn’t clear whether Dones and Johnson were at the unsanctioned Oct. 31 party at an Airbnb rental house in Orinda. Authorities said they couldn’t discuss how their arrests relate to the shooting investigation because it remains active.

Dones and Johnson were not among five people who were arrested last week in connection with the shooting. Four of them were then released after Contra Costa county prosecutors said they didn’t have enough evidence to file charges.

The East Bay Times reports the fifth suspect remain held on an unrelated probation violation.

The ATF is offering a $20,000 reward for information leading to arrests or convictions in the case.

Rival gang members and people armed with guns were among the more than 100 people who were at the party that was promoted on social media as an “Airbnb mansion party,” authorities said. Investigators said they believe an altercation that started in the kitchen led to gunfire and that there were multiple shooters.”

The solution to Baltimore’s milestone homicides? Sue gun manufacturers!

No one is responsible for their personal actions except for the law-abiding people demorats want to control: Gun manufacturers and firearm owners.

Demorats NEVER, NEVER let facts get in the way of reaching their utopian goals.

According to the Baltimore Sun’s report on November 14, the demorat-run city (which hasn’t had a republican mayor since 1967) has hit 300 homicides for the fifth year in a row.

Baltimore Police Commissioner Michael Harrison said that to address the “culture of violence” in Baltimore, there must be programs offering young men a path away from a life of crime.

Apparently former mayor Catherine Pugh’s “Squeegee Boys” program wasn’t the correct pathway.

So what is the progressive politicians’ solution to the out-of-control gun violence in their city? Lawsuits against gun manufacturers.

WBAL TV reports that the city of Baltimore is seriously considering following the lead of Sandy Hook families and suing gun manufacturers. From their report:

“City Solicitor Andre Davis said that escalating violence is why he will legally go after gun manufacturers to hold them responsible if Sandy Hook families succeed in their cases, he said.

Andre Davis and former Baltimore Mayor Catherine Pugh

“That decision by the court of appeals a couple of weeks ago was a breakthrough because congress has created immunity for these gun manufacturers that, up until now, has been impenetrable and this recent decision is the first small crack in the wall and we will continue to monitor it,” Davis said.”

Read the WBAL story here.

The “crack in the wall” is Baltimore’s leadership, gang violence and prosecution of violent criminals, which republican governor Larry Hogan wants to address.

But that, of course, is deemed racist by progressives.

Enjoy your record homicide rates, Baltimore!

Suing gun manufacturers for the actions of your criminal citizens will have absolute ZERO effect on murder rates and gun violence. You CANNOT legislate and sue enough people to ensure that CRIMINALS will obey gun control laws. THEY DON’T CARE about your laws.

How can this be happening? Multiple high-profile shootings in California during past month

California has some of the most restrictive gun laws in the nation. This includes age restrictions, gun registration, limit on ammunition purchases and red flag laws.

Just last month Governor Newsom just signed into law an additional 15 new gun control laws. He said at the time: “Gun violence is an epidemic in this country, one that’s been inflamed by the inaction of politicians in Washington. While Washington has refused to act on even the most basic gun safety reforms, California is once again leading the nation in passing meaningful gun safety reforms.”

How’s that gun control working in California? Here’s some latest headlines from California:

Police search for suspects in California shooting, 4 killed & 6 wounded
Suspected gunman, 16, in California high school shooting dies in hospital
Father’s murder-suicide leaves mother, three children dead, police say
5 arrested in connection with deadly shooting at Airbnb Halloween party

Here’s the thing gun-grabbing politicians will NEVER learn: You can never create enough gun control laws that will stop people intent on committing criminal actions.

Unfortunately this idea is not entertained by the politicians. They are only intent on their ultimate goal: gun confiscation.

Strict gun-controlled California: Fourth man killed in five-hour span in Oakland

Something proggies will never understand: You can never make enough laws to guarantee good behavior from people who are willing to break the law.

As reported by SF Chronicle: A man was killed early Saturday in the Highland neighborhood of East Oakland, less than five hours after three men were fatally shot across the city.

The man, who was not immediately identified, was found on 90th Avenue near International Boulevard around 1:20 a.m., police said. Officers were notified of the shooting through ShotSpotter, the gunshot detection device.

Paramedics transported the victim to a nearby hospital, where he died.

The shooting came after a triple homicide in West Oakland just before 9 p.m. Friday, which police called a “deliberate” attack. The victims were a 29-year-old and 31-year-old from Oakland and a 21-year-old from Vallejo. Officials did not release their names.

The West Oakland homicides occurred at a Torrance bowling alley. The shooting was the result after a “brawl” broke out and the shooters remain at large.

Police are being “mum” on the details, such as whether or not the incident was gang related. They aren’t even releasing descriptions of the suspects, which I’m sure they have (via verbal statements and video).

Odd considering that California has no tolerance for gun violence they wouldn’t want to describe and catch the perps of this triple homicide. I wonder why…
