Time for the Barf Bag

Here’s a reminder of the very unobjective journalist profession:
On Chris “I-feel-a-thrill-up-my-leg” Matthews’ show, Howard Fineman, senior Washington correspondent for Newsweek magazine, gushes that “of course” Obama “is much smarter than us” (0:28 mark):

Why Do Conservative Elites Avoid Obama Eligibility?

The GOP honchos, beginning with John McCain in 2008 and continuing to new House Speaker John Boehner, avoid it.
Conservative columnists and talking heads such as Glenn Beck and Bill O’Reilly not just avoid it, they go out of their way to mock those who don’t. The latter chickened out when he wasted a golden opportunity to ask Obama about his elusive long-form birth certificate (and other documents such as his kindergarten and college records) in their recent sit-down interview.
When even an Obama worshipper such as Chris “thrill-up-my-leg” Matthews calls on O to release his original long-form birth certificate, it grows ever more curious why conservative elites avoid it with that proverbial 10-foot pole. I don’t buy the excuse that it’s because they fear a civil war would result should the Fraud be found to be constitutionally ineligible for the presidency.
Among national talk radio hosts, only Rush Limbaugh and to a lesser extent Sean Hannity talk about it, which is most strange because, as WorldNetDaily publisher Joseph Farah points out, the Obama eligibility issue is not just all-important, it is a winning issue. Go figure!

The humongous elephant in the room everyone is denying

Why eligibility is a winning issue
By Joseph Farah – WorldNetDaily – February 03, 2011

Conservatives make me laugh – and cry, sometimes.
From the very beginning of WND’s relentless coverage of the eligibility issue, there were many very high-profile conservatives in public office and the media who discouraged any focus on it.
They whispered and muttered that it was not a “winning issue.”
They wrung their hands in worriment over the possibility that Barack Obama would pull the rug out from under the pursuit by pulling his long-form birth certificate out of his hat – making us look ridiculous for ever asking for it.
They even went so far as to suggest the whole controversy was a “trap” being set for those who went near it.
They warned that Obama is waiting for me to get out far enough on a limb so he can saw it off.
They were even afraid that Obama might indeed be ineligible and the nation would face a constitutional crisis as a result.
I didn’t listen to them then, and I don’t listen to them now.
Why?
It’s very simple.
There is no doubt, none whatsoever, that Barack Obama is hiding something about his origins and his life leading to the White House.
It has been two-and-a-half years since serious questions first arose about his birthplace, his parentage, his adoption, his travels, his college years, his early education and so on. When we began pursuing the question of his constitutional eligibility, no one else was covering it or taking it seriously. In fact, we were pleasantly surprised in June of 2009 when we conducted our first scientific public-opinion poll on the issue to learn that 50 percent of the public had even heard about the controversy – and that half of those were skeptical about Obama’s claims.
We were amazed at how many people were aware of the story with only one news source covering it.
The most recent poll, conducted by CNN last summer, showed 58 percent of Americans skeptical of Obama’s claims and that the entire world knows about the controversy – and that’s with practically the entire media establishment devoted to denying there is any story worth covering.
How is that not a winning issue?
Yet, most conservatives are still hiding in the tall grass on this issue, afraid of their own shadows and being outsmarted by their political opponents.
I have always looked at this issue through the eyes of a newsman. It is the job of the news media to hold politicians accountable to the law and the standards of our society.
The Constitution requires the president to be a “natural born citizen,” and the very first piece of evidence one would need to show to establish that fact is a long-form birth certificate – and actual eyewitness account of a birth taking place in a specific place, at a specific time, by specific parents.
So we asked for that specific document. We couldn’t get it. Obama wouldn’t release it. Nobody in government, no controlling legal authority has ever seen it as part of a process of evaluating Obama’s eligibility.
Even as a rookie cub reporter 35 years ago, I would have recognized that as a cover-up – a deliberate one. Somebody clearly had something to hide.
It’s amazing to me today, even as this story begins breaking out beyond WND, that practically no one in the media sees what I and my merry band of WND reporters and editors see. The American people get it. But the media and even most conservative political activists don’t. Most Republican officials are afraid of it.
But what could possibly be wrong with asking for the documentation that is absolutely necessary to meeting the constitutional test?
How could it backfire if Obama actually produces the proof? That’s all we’re asking for. That’s all we ever asked for. I would consider it a major victory if Obama produced what I have been asking him to produce for two-and-a-half years. I would even be relieved to find out that the man occupying the White House is indeed constitutionally eligible for the office he has held for the last two years.

I still don’t understand what is the downside of demanding something so innocent and so essential to constitutional governance as proof of eligibility.
I’m not afraid Obama will produce what I’m asking for. I’m afraid he won’t. That’s something very scary. It is already a constitutional crisis when the president can assume office and make profound changes in the direction of the country without ever proving he is constitutionally eligible.
Why won’t he produce it?
Americans are asking this question more frequently than ever before. It has become something of a national joke. But it’s not a joking matter. It’s a matter of national security and constitutional integrity.
Now that several states are ready to approve legislation requiring future presidential candidates to prove their eligibility before getting on the ballot, we are closer than ever to learning whether Obama can meet that test.
If he seeks re-election, he can. If he doesn’t, he can’t.
If he doesn’t and can’t, I dare someone to tell me our hard work and dedication on this issue wasn’t worthwhile and productive.

At Last, Keith Olbermann Fired

A BKeyser design

MSNBC has fired Keith Olbermann — that rabidly leftwing, overpaid “newsman” who doesn’t even feign a pretense at objectivity. Just two years ago, the cable network had signed him to a 4-year contract, reportedly for $30 million.
Paul Farhi of the Washington Post reports today (Jan 22, 2011):

Keith Olbermann, the combative left-leaning anchor of MSNBC’s most popular program, “Countdown,” surprised viewers Friday night by announcing that the show would be his last. Olbermann said he had been told by MSNBC that the cable network was ending his contract.

Neither the network nor Olbermann publicly cited a reason for his abrupt departure, but that hasn’t stopped Washington Post’s reporter, the fawning Farhi, from engaging in some fanciful speculation — that it was because Olbermann made campaign contributions to three political candidates, in violation of an NBC News policy that prohibits political contributions by its employees without prior approval. Olbermann was suspended for two days, then returned to the air publicly unapologetic about his behavior, expressing his disdain for MSNBC’s decision.
Then Farhi further speculated that Olbermann’s dismissal may have something to do with the pending takeover of MSNBC’s parent company, NBC Universal, by Comcast, the cable and Internet giant.
Blah, blah, blah….
What the fawning Farhi omits to inform Washington Post readers is this: Olbermann pulls in fewer viewers than any of the news personalities on FoxNews. Here’s Drudge Report on the cable news stats for Thursday, January 20, 2011:

Obama Eligibility Issue Gathering Steam

Thank you, Joseph Farah and World Net Daily, for your tireless efforts to inform Americans on this important issue! History will remember you.

We’re making progress on birth certificate
By Joseph Farah – WorldNetDaily – January 6, 2011
Have you noticed how much better informed the major news media have become about the missing birth certificate since Hawaii Gov. Neil Abercrombie entered the picture?

It wasn’t that long ago that most of the TV talking heads and alleged news reporters were telling the American people that Barack Obama had released his birth certificate. They seemed incapable of comprehending the difference between the digital short-form certification of live birth offered up by the Obama campaign in 2008 and a standard, long-form birth certificate we’re all familiar with.
How many of you recall Bill O’Reilly and Chris Matthews waiving copies of the certification of live birth in front of the camera, telling the American people they had the actual birth certificate?
How many times do you recall them viciously attacking those who persisted in demanding the absolute minimal documentation needed to ensure Obama was indeed constitutionally eligible to serve as president – without ever giving any of those conscientious, principled, rational advocates of the rule of law and openness in government the opportunity to answer their ad hominem insults?
On the edge of a constitutional crisis … learn the facts in WND’s comprehensive “Obama Eligibility Primer”
How many times have you heard them characterize “birthers” as a fringe group of crackpots and conspiracy nuts?
Now, all of a sudden, as polls continue to show Americans increasingly skeptical about Obama’s birth narrative despite the media’s stonewalling and obfuscating, along comes the new socialist governor of Hawaii who admits the possibility that the release of some actual evidence might indeed quell what is turning into widespread public distrust of both the government and what Rush Limbaugh astutely calls “the state-sponsored media.”
He says he would like to release the birth certificate – though I doubt he ever will.
But that leaves O’Reilly, Matthews and the rest of the Big Media in a dilemma. After all, they have been pretending for years that the birth certificate has already been released.
It didn’t take Matthews long to do a 180.
Hey, if the Democratic governor of Hawaii wants the birth certificate released, then he’s for it, too. He even bullied two certifiably leftist pundits on his panel to capitulate to his demand as well.
O’Reilly is sure to follow suit if he hasn’t already.
Looks like the birth certificate issue is reaching critical mass.
These media types are now using Abercrombie as a way to extricate themselves from all their foolishness and irresponsibility on this story from the beginning.
The truth is Obama should never have been able to assume office without establishing his constitutional eligibility. The system failed the American people and the rule of law. The media “watchdogs” weren’t just AWOL. They were attacking those actually serving as vigilant citizen watchdogs of the Constitution and the people’s business.
I expect politicians to act like politicians. I expect them to protect their secrets as best they can. I expect them to get away with anything they can get away with.
But, as someone who has spent 30 years in the news business, I have never been more ashamed of my industry than I have been over the last two years in their mindless and shameless demagoguery over Obama’s eligibility problem.
If they had been paid shills for Obama they could not have been more reckless and mean-spirited and less truthful and honest.
That goes for Bill O’Reilly and Chris Matthews and the New York Times and the Los Angeles Times and the Washington Post and the Associated Press – and literally thousands of other news agencies and so-called “journalists.” They missed one of the biggest stories in American history and set about covering up their own incompetence.

Anyway, that’s beginning to change.
They now admit what was obvious to the vast majority of Americans for some time – that Obama has indeed been concealing his birth certificate. They admit he should be able to defuse this whole controversy with one phone call. They admit they are puzzled as to why he won’t do that.
Guess what, fellas – that’s just what those you have been vilifying have been saying for the last two years. That’s all they’ve been saying. And, a few of us in the media, most of them right here at this news agency, have actually been gathering evidence that thoroughly and unequivocally undermines Obama’s official birth narrative.
Quietly, and without fanfare, the WND team kept this story alive – just as I promised I would. Still, none of these media elitists has bothered to scratch beneath the surface of this story to comprehend the magnitude of deceit that went into Obama’s elevation to what may well be an illegitimate presidency.
I tell you, it’s not just Obama who is going to pay a price in history for this scandal. All those who aided and abetted him in the media are going down, too.
Now that this story shows no signs of going away, I think they’re beginning to realize what they missed.

Is Chris Christie Too Fat to be President?

MSNBC’s Chris “I-feel-a-tingle-up-my-leg” Matthews, who’s pretty chubby himself, thinks so!

Appearing at a local event in Washington, D.C., on December 9, 2010, Hardball host Chris Matthews trashed Republican Governor of New Jersey Chris Christie as too fat to be President. The Washington Examiner reported that Matthews derided the New Jersey governor, mocking,
“Chris Christie is moon over New Jersey, he should not wear white shirts, I tell you that. I saw him the other day and I was amazed by it, he must be 300 plus, and that’s something he’s just gotta deal with because you’re not going to say, ‘I’m going to cut the budget,’ well, how about starting with supper?”

New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie (on right)

What do you think? Would you vote for Chris Christie even if he’s fat?

Chris Matthews Delusional; Says He's Non-Partisan

Last Thursday, MSNBC’s Chris Matthews gave an interview at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in D.C., in which he said this about his political show “Hardball”:

Obviously, I think I’m the best. But each one of the other people think they’re the best, too….I think I’m the best, generally….There’s no doubt about it, in fact, but other people have different views….‘Hardball’ is absolutely nonpartisan.”

HaHaHaHaHaHaHaHaHaHa

Is this the same Matthews who famously went into an orgasmic ecstacy in the 2008 presidential campaign, confessing on national TV that he felt “this thrill going up my leg” listening to Obama?
