Lesbian Episcopal priest is new head of National Abortion Federation

Abortion is the deliberate and intentional killing of an unborn human being. In the United States and countless countries across the world, in the name of a woman’s “right” over her body, that killing is given legitimacy by law and vehemently defended by “feminists”.

The pro-abortion movement is nothing less than a demonic death cult. In recent years, the unremitting corruption of the United States has even led to Christian and Jewish clergy “blessing” abortion clinics. See, for example:

Now, a lesbian Episcopal priest, the “very reverend” Katherine Hancock Ragsdale, takes the abomination further by becoming the president and CEO of the National Abortion Federation (NAF) — a multinational organization of abortion providers and practitioners in the United States, Mexico, Canada, Australia, and many Eurpean countries. According to the NAF, its members “perform” half of all abortions in North America.

Ragsdale is the president and professor of theology of the Episcopal Divinity School in Cambridge, Massachusetts. In a speech at a Jan. 24, 2010 event organized by the Jane Fund, a Massachusetts-based group that raises funds for abortions, Ragsdale called abortion “a blessing” and said she was “angry and fed up” at people who had spoken out again her sexuality and her radical stance on abortion.

Claire Chretien reports for LifeSiteNews, Nov. 5, 2019, that the National Abortion Federation (NAF) has announced that its new president and CEO is Katherine Ragsdale, a lesbian Episcopal “priest” and longtime abortion activist.

When the news was announced, Ragsdale, who had been NAF’s interim president and CEO since September 2018, extolled abortion providers as “some of my personal heroes and modern-day saints.”

NAF’s previous CEO and president, Vicki Saporta, was paid a salary of $392,018 in 2017, according to the organization’s publicly available tax records.

In 2011, Ragsdale married another female Episcopal priest named Mally Lloyd. at the Anglican Cathedral Church of St. Paul in Boston. Bishop M. Thomas Shaw performed the ceremony. It is unclear if Ragsdale and Lloyd are still together, as Ragsdale’s bio on NAF’s website makes no mention of Lloyd.

In an April 2019 speech at a Kentucky Reproductive Freedom Fund fundraiser, Ragsdale claimed that the Bible says nothing about abortion and that it’s dishonest and manipulative to call the human person in the womb a “baby.” Her audience laughed when Ragsdale mocked pro-life advocates who oppose partial-birth abortion by saying: “‘One inch from life,’ they say while showing a picture of a Gerber baby. Apart from ‘one inch from life’ being a lie, the Gerber baby image is a lie. And actually, using the word ‘baby’ is a manipulative lie.”

Comments by NAF-affiliated abortionists, however, paint a different picture. Undercover video from the Center for Medical Progress (CMP), a prolife organization founded by journalist David Daleidan, taken at a NAF conference shows abortionists admitting that the work they do is “killing,” complaining how “difficult” it is to tear apart a fetus, and lamenting that they’re not given a place to discuss the “heads that get stuck that we can’t get out.”

See also “S.F. jury awards Planned Parenthood $2.2M in damages against pro-life journalist David Daleidan

Notorious late-term abortionist LeRoy Carhart, at least eight of whose “patients” had a “medical emergency” in the course of their abortion, also admitted to a BBC reporter, “I think that it is a baby, and I use [the word] with patients.” When the reporter hesitantly asked, “And you don’t have a problem…with…killing a baby?,” Carhart said without flinching, “I have no problem if it’s in the mother’s uterus.”

Father Frank Pavone, national director of Priests for Life and president of the National Pro-Life Religious Council, told LifeSiteNews:

“For decades, Katherine Ragsdale, a false prophet, has been trying to put religious vestments on child-killing. She led the ‘Religious Coalition for Abortion Rights’ (now the ‘Religious Coalition for Reproductive Choice’), which actually provides rites of blessing for parents about to kill their children, and for the facilities in which the blood is shed…[and also provides] Scripture studies that attempt to say exactly the opposite of what Scripture says about what God thinks of the shedding of innocent blood.”

Fr. Pavone said it’s not surprising that NAF chose Ragsdale to lead it:

“It actually reveals one of the greatest weaknesses of the abortion industry: science is not on their side, logic is not on their side, and history is not on their side. They ran out of arguments a long time ago to try to justify abortion. So now, all they have left is to disguise it in ‘spirituality.’ They try in vain to take the stigma out of abortion — but that effort continues, and that is what this new development represents.

For decades, Fr. Pavone has helped helps former abortionists and their staff “deal with the wounds abortion inflicts on them.” He said:

“A big part of their healing is to dig themselves out of the many layers of lies that they told themselves to justify the killing they carried out. Those lies take many forms: rationalization; intellectualization; and here, in the example of False Prophet Ragsdale’s leadership, ‘spiritualization.’ And the lies by which spiritual and biblical language attempt to justify murder are among the most damaging to those who fall captive to them.”

S.F. jury awards Planned Parenthood $2.2M in damages against pro-life journalist David Daleiden

Yesterday, a jury in San Francisco U.S. District Court, found in favor of Planned Parenthood (PP) in its civil lawsuit against David Daleiden, the courageous founder of Center for Medical Progress (CMP) who took the undercover videos showing PP’s participation in the ghoulish harvesting and trafficking of baby body parts.

The jury awarded Planned Parenthood $1.35 million in damages on the RICO (racketeering) charges, $870,000 in punitive damages and presumably millions of dollars in attorneys’ fees on top of that.

Thomas More Society, a not-for-profit, national public interest law firm
dedicated to restoring respect in law for life, family, and religious liberty, is leading Daleiden’s defense. In an email, Tom Brejcha, President and Chief Counsel of the Thomas More Society, calls the verdict “the worst case scenario” — “the predictable result of an unfair trial presided over by a biased judge”.

Defending Daleiden is not the only abortion battle that Thomas More Society is fighting. Brejcha writes that “earlier today the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals issued an opinion ruling against us in the related case brought by the National Abortion Federation” and that “Thomas More Society attorneys will be back in State Court Judge Christopher Hite’s courtroom in less than a month for his decision in the criminal case” against Daleiden and the CMP.

Brejcha vows that Thomas More Society will continue standing alongside Daleiden in this multi-front war that will take years to win, “until we defeat every lawsuit and clear David or every charge.”

Thomas More Society is asking for our help. To donate, go here.

I never ask you to donate unless I myself have donated. I have donated to the Thomas More Society, and I will donate more.

According to Charity Navigator, administrative expenses account for only 7.4% of Thomas More Society’s total expenses. In 2017, its total expenses ($4,839,610) exceeded its total revenue ($4,702,038) by $137,572. As president,  Brejcha’s total compensation (salary, cash bonuses and expense accounts) was $175,366, which is a reasonable salary compared to the salaries of the CEOs of other non-profits.

In 2016, Charity Navigator undertook a CEO Compensation Study of 4,587 U.S. charities, using their IRS Forms 990 for fiscal year 2014. The study found that the median CEO compensation was $123,362 and that “CEO salaries at nonprofits reflect the regional variation in the cost of living. For example, CEOs at charities in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic, which include cities like Boston, Washington D.C. and New York, tend to earn higher salaries, than those in other parts of the country.” Thomas More Society is in Chicago, Illinois.

In 2013, Charity Navigator’s CEO Compensation Study found that 78 CEOs CEOs earned salaries between $500,000 and $1 million. Among them were:

  • Laurance Hoagland Jr., Chief Investment Officer of the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation, earned a salary of $2.5 million.
  • John Seffrin, CEO of American Cancer Society, earned $2.1 million, while also serving at the White House on the public health advisory group.
  • Roxanne Spillett, President of Boys & Girls Clubs of America, earned $1.8 million.
  • Emily K. Rafferty, President of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City, earned nearly $1.5 million.
  • Placido Domingo, General Director of the Los Angeles Opera, earned $1.35 million. Domingo is an opera singer and conductor as well, performing in more than 3,600 shows.
  • Michael Kaiser, President of the JFK Center for Performing Arts in Washington D.C., earned $1.348 million.
  • Brian A. Gallagher, President and CEO of United Way Worldwide, earned $1.2 million.
  • Michael Miller, CEO of Goodwill, earned $856,043.

In 2017, the CEO and president of the National Abortion Federation (NAF), Vicki Saporta, was paid a salary of $392,018. NAF’s new president is a lesbian Episcopal priest.

Please help David Daleiden and pray for him.

Planned Parenthood's Clergy Advisory Board says the abortion mill "is doing God's work"

Wed, 05 Aug 2015 22:12:03 +0000   eowyn2

Did you know that Planned Parenthood (PP) — where abortion accounts for 94% of its business — has a Clergy Advisory Board (CAB)?

PP describes the board as  a “network of clergy members from a variety of denominations throughout the religious community”.

On the heels of the pro-life Center for Medical Progress’ (CMP) release of a series undercover videos showing PP officials cheerfully chatting and haggling about the harvesting and sale of aborted baby body parts, its Clergy Advisory Board released a statement yesterday condemning CMP, the maker of the videos.

Insisting that Planned Parenthood is simply “doing God’s work,” the board called the videos — not PP’s dismemberment and sale of aborted babies — “theologically and morally reprehensible.” The clergy advisors accuse CMP of conducting a “smear campaign” and using “fraudulent and extreme tactics to spread false allegations about Planned Parenthood’s role in tissue donation.”

Here is Planned Parenthood Clergy Advisory Board’s statement, with my rebuttals in green:

“As faith leaders committed to justice, honesty, and liberty, [no justice or liberty for the aborted unborn] we are troubled by the decades-long campaign of harassment against Planned Parenthood and those they serve [not the millions of innocent aborted babies]. Our faiths demand care for those marginalized by poverty and other oppressions [being killed is the greatest oppression of all]. Faith leaders have supported Planned Parenthood for nearly 100 years because of our shared goals: every person — regardless of income, race, or religion — deserves access to safe, affordable, high-quality health care [except if you happen to be in a womb, unable to speak for yourself].

Planned Parenthood provides professional [like advising a teenager to defecate and urinate on her sexual partner], non-judgmental, high-quality care to people, individuals, and families in our congregations, some of whom have few health care options [community health centers across the U.S. serve 8 times more people than Planned Parenthood: 21 million vs. 2.7 million].  Planned Parenthood does the best of what religious traditions do: care, no matter what.

Planned Parenthood offers the opportunity for women to choose to donate fetal tissue for research purposes. Research using fetal tissue saves hundreds of thousands of lives [and profit for Planned Parenthood] worldwide every year [unsubstantiated].

The fact that the attacking organizations use fraudulent and extreme tactics to spread false allegations about Planned Parenthood’s role in tissue donation is theologically and morally reprehensible [the religious clergy of this board are theologically and morally reprehensible]. The scriptures of Judaism, Christianity, and Islam strongly and repeatedly condemn dishonesty and hate [nothing even remotely close to the 6th Commandment: Thou Shalt Not Kill]. Planned Parenthood facilitates tissue donation for those who choose it, knowing that it fulfills the donor’s wish and contributes to the advancement of medical research [and Planned Parenthood’s and StemExpress’ pocketbook]. We are grateful to everyone who chooses to donate and fully respectful of all who do not.

Rather than respect religious liberty [what about the freedom of the unborn from being killed and dismembered and sold?] and individual conscience, some seek to impose their values and work obsessively to limit access to health care on individuals despite the fact that denial of health care may have a tremendous impact on their families.  This agenda has included restricting access to evidence-based sex education [like sex toys, porn, defecating & urinating, and not telling your sexual partner you have AIDS] and contraceptives and imposing a view of sexuality [like sex toys, porn, defecating & urinating, and not telling your sexual partner you have AIDS?] that most Americans do not hold.

Planned Parenthood employees and volunteers, as well as those at other organizations and providers, endure harassment, fraud, and violence [such as poisoning, scraping, suctioning, beheading and dismembering the unborn] when they provide and protect access to safe health care. Our religious traditions call us to offer compassion, not judgment. People who work for Planned Parenthood give care and respect to those in need, doing God’s [Satan’s] work. For this we are grateful.”

A new Dr. Mengele: UC scientist uses brains of aborted babies for research

Dr. Josef Mengele, the Nazi German officer and physician, is rightly reviled by history for his cruelty and inhumanity in performing deadly experiments and genetic research on concentration camp prisoners, many of whom were Jews.
But Mengele is walking among us today in the form of a professor of cellular and molecular medicine at the University of California at San Diego (UCSD) named Lawrence Goldstein, who uses the brains “harvested” from aborted — and sometimes still alive — human babies for his research. The brains are supplied by Planned Parenthood in San Diego, to which Goldstein is a donor. Ironically, Goldstein is himself a Jew.
Larry Goldstein
In a March 2, 2016 press release, the courageous Center for Medical Progress that uncovered the heinous practices at Planned Parenthood, says:

The star witness for Planned Parenthood at today’s hearing on the bioethics of fetal body parts harvesting, UC San Diego’s Dr. Lawrence Goldstein, obtains his aborted fetal brains from Planned Parenthood of the Pacific Southwest in San Diego, CA. Dr. Goldstein is also a long-time financial donor to the same Planned Parenthood in San Diego. Neither of these critical facts are mentioned anywhere in Dr. Goldstein’s sworn written testimony for the hearing.
“This is more of the same from Planned Parenthood and their political cronies: a total lack of transparency and false advertising to cover up troubling revelations about their baby-parts-for-profit scheme,” says David Daleiden, CMP Project Lead. “In reality, Planned Parenthood’s taxpayer-funded crime syndicate for baby parts harvesting is on full display in this hearing -– a taxpayer-funded researcher at a government school harvesting brains from late-term babies at a state-subsidized Planned Parenthood abortion clinic. The Investigative Panel must ask Dr. Goldstein the hard questions about how much money he gave Planned Parenthood in exchange for aborted babies’ brains, and what Planned Parenthood may have done to their abortion process to accommodate his orders.”

According to Wikipedia, Goldstein receives grant funding from the federal government’s National Institutes of Health (NIH), the Johns Hopkins ALS Center, the HighQ Foundation, and the California Institute for Regenerative Medicine — a California state agency that defies the NIH (and therefore the federal government) by funding stem-cell research that creates human-animal hybrids by growing human tissues inside pigs and sheep. (See “Defiling God’s creation: Scientists are creating animal-human hybrids” and “Award-winning biologist says Pope Francis gave his blessing to animal-human hybrids“)

More Planned Parenthood horrors on sale of aborted babies. Warning: graphic

Fri, 07 Aug 2015 17:17:43 +0000

In the 5th Planned Parenthood (PP) sting video, taken on April 9, 2015, released by the valiant Center for Medical Progress, the video beings with PP’s CEO Cecile Richards claiming that PP does not profit from the sale of aborted babies’ body parts and organs, and that whatever money PP received was just to “recoup costs.”

That’s a lie.

Richards’ claim is refuted by Abby Johnson, a former clinic director of Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast. In her Congressional testimony, Johnson said that at the PP clinic she had worked in, one “fetal tissue specimen” sold for $100. and the per day sales were as much as $5,000 or $120,000 per month, which is most “certainly not recouping costs.”

Then the video focuses on Melissa Farrell, the Director of Research of Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast, who calmly chatted about selling the tissue, parts and organs of aborted little human beings as she forked food into her mouth.

Melissa Farrell

Farrell said:

  • PP could meet requests for specific and intact organs or tissue, such as livers, neural brain tissue, 14-22 week “fetuses” (22-week-old babies are 5½ months old), and that the abortion doctors can tailor the abortion in such a way as to “make” intact organs, tissue, and even “cadavers” (whole babies) “happen.”
  • Babies older than 16 weeks (4 months) are aborted.
  • Some abortion doctors conduct their own “research” on aborted babies.

An investigator says Planned Parenthood Abortionhood has sold intact aborted babies to biotech company StemExpress — the same Stem Express, founded by a lesbian in northern California, which has prevailed on the California Superior Court to issue a temporary restraining order blocking the Center for Medical Progress from releasing further undercover video footage taken of three top-level staff of StemExpress.

WARNING: The discussion and images to follow may upset you, but you need to know. How else are we to fight evil if we don’t know the evil that humans do?

Beginning at the 9:34 mark of the video, you’ll see PP demonstrate the excellent “quality” of “fresh” fetal aborted baby body parts available for sale.

This worker at Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast clinic’s laboratory laughed when she said, “We had a really long day and they’re [aborted babies] all mixed up in a bag. Yeah, if I would’ve known 10 minutes ago [that you want to see the quality of fresh fetal body parts] I would have saved something.”

Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast staff

When asked to show an example of fresh “intact” organs available for sale, the clinic staff said they didn’t have any that day, but showed the chopped-up tissue from 20-week twin babies aborted killed that day, April 9, 2015. Though chopped up, “the organs come out really well!”

Anyone want a limb?

limb of aborted baby, April 9, 2015, Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast

How about an arm or a leg?

limbs of aborted baby, April 9, 2015, Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast

A clinic worker (see below) explained that procuring intact organs, parts, and even an entire body is dependent on how dilated the mother is, how “cooperative” and “relaxed” she is during the “procedure” abortion, and her pain tolerance. She says they get intact eyeballs 95% of the time. Whoopie!

Worker at Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast lab, April 9, 2015.

The sale of aborted tiny human beings’ body parts and organs in the Untied [sic] States, ostensibly, is for the purpose of scientific research to advance medical science and the good of humanity.

Please tell me how what we’re doing any better than Chinese making “medicinal” pills and soup out of their aborted babies. The only difference is China, a country that is less economically developed than the U.S., is more primitive about it.

Second Planned Parenthood sting video: use "less crunchy" abortion method to get intact body parts for sale

Tue, 21 Jul 2015 18:23:37 +0000

Dr. Mary Gatter

The Center for Medical Progress just released a second undercover video in which Planned Parenthood (PP) senior executive Dr. Mary Gatter haggled over how much PP would get paid for selling aborted baby body parts, and indicated that PP abortionists would use “less crunchy” methods that don’t chop up baby bodies so as to obtain the more-in-demand “intact” body parts to sell.

LOS ANGELES, July 21—A second undercover video shows Planned Parenthood Federation of America’s Medical Directors’ Council President, Dr. Mary Gatter, haggling over payments for intact fetal specimens and offering to use a “less crunchy technique” to get more intact body parts.

It is similar to last week’s viral video showing PPFA Senior Director of Medical Services Dr. Deborah Nucatola admitting to using partial-birth abortions to get intact parts and suggesting a price range of $30 to $100 per specimen. (See “Planned Parenthood sells body parts of aborted human babies”)

Gatter is a senior official within Planned Parenthood and is President of the Medical Directors’ Council, the central committee of all Planned Parenthood affiliate medical directors.

Actors posing as buyers ask Gatter, “What would you expect for intact [fetal] tissue?”

“Well, why don’t you start by telling me what you’re used to paying!” Gatter replies.

Gatter continues: “You know, in negotiations whoever throws out the figure first is at a loss, right?” She explains, “I just don’t want to lowball,” before suggesting, “$75 a specimen.”

Gatter twice recites Planned Parenthood messaging on fetal tissue collection, “We’re not in it for the money,” and “The money is not the important thing,” but she immediately qualifies each statement with, respectively, “But what were you thinking of?” and, “But it has to be big enough that it’s worthwhile for me.

Gatter also admits that in prior fetal tissue deals, Planned Parenthood received payment in spite of incurring no cost: “It was logistically very easy for us, we didn’t have to do anything. So there was compensation for this.” She accepts a higher price of $100 per specimen understanding that it will be only for high-quality fetal organs: “Now, this is for tissue that you actually take, not just tissue that someone volunteers and you can’t find anything, right?”

By the lunch’s end, Gatter suggests $100 per specimen is not enough and concludes, “Let me just figure out what others are getting, and if this is in the ballpark, then it’s fine, if it’s still low, then we can bump it up. I want a Lamborghini.

The sale or purchase of human fetal tissue is a federal felony punishable by up to 10 years in prison or a fine of up to $500,000 (42 U.S.C. 289g-2).

Gatter also suggests modifying the abortion procedure to get more intact fetuses: “I wouldn’t object to asking Ian, who’s our surgeon who does the cases, to use an IPAS [manual vacuum aspirator] at that gestational age in order to increase the odds that he’s going to get an intact specimen.

Gatter seems aware this violates rules governing tissue collection, but disregards them: “To me, that’s kind of a specious little argument.” Federal law requires that no alteration in the timing or method of abortion be done for the purposes of fetal tissue collection (42 U.S.C. 289g-1).

The video, like last week’s featuring Dr. Nucatola, was produced by The Center for Medical Progress (CMP) — part of CMP’s nearly 3-year-long investigative journalism study, “Human Capital.”

CMP’s Project Lead David Daleiden notes, “Planned Parenthood’s top leadership admits they harvest aborted baby parts and receive payments for this. Planned Parenthood’s only denial is that they make money off of baby parts, but that is a desperate lie that becomes more and more untenable as CMP reveals Planned Parenthood’s business operations and statements that prove otherwise.”

Seven State Governments have opened investigations into Planned Parenthood’s sale of aborted fetal body parts, as have three Congressional Committees. The House Energy and Commerce Committee has called PPFA’s Senior Director of Medical Services to testify this month about the organization’s fetal tissue harvesting.

But the Obama administration continues to insist that Planned Parenthood’s sale of baby body parts is “ethical” and that federal government taxpayers’ funding of the abortion mill will continue.

What you can do:

  1. Tell your Congress critters to defund Planned Parenthood. Click here.
  2. Show your support for Center for Medical Project (CMP) by donating (click here) or send them a “thank you” (click here).
  3. If you work for an abortion clinic or a company that sells fetal tissue and would like help, go to CMP’s Abortion Providers & Clinic Workers page.
