Trump admin negotiates release of Egyptian-American aid worker from Cairo jail

Hijazi meets with Trump

The demorat-controlled media has been largely silent about this. The release of these aid workers is a very good thing. Yet it wasn’t accomplished by their savior, Obama, so it shall not be mentioned.
From Fox News: The Egyptian American charity worker who was sent to prison for three years in Cairo met with President Trump Friday at the White House. “We are very happy to have her back home,” Trump said. “Thank you very much.”
The White House has been working for weeks with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi to secure the release of Aya Hijazi, 30, as well as her husband Mohamed Hassanein and four other humanitarian workers.
Wade McMullen, managing attorney at the Robert F Kennedy Human Rights organization which has been advocating on Hijazi’s behalf, told National Public Radio that Sisi’s visit to Washington came during “a short window of time before the final verdict” in Hijazi’s case.
McMullen said during the trip, “senior administration officials were engaging with Egyptian officials on Aya’s case.”
Hijazi became the face of Egypt’s crackdown in 2014, She had her husband were sentenced to prison on May 1,2014 on child abuse and trafficking charges that have been widely criticized and dismissed by multiple human rights workers and U.S. officials as false.
Hijazi is a graduate of George Mason University and grew up in northern Virginia. There was virtually no evidence brought against her, her husband or the four humanitarian workers.

The Egyptian defense minister has ordered the repair and reconstruction of all churches that suffered damage in the country’s violent demonstrations since the Egyptian military removed President Mohamed Morsi from power last month.
Defense minister Col. Gen. Abdel Fattah El-Sisi intends to fix the damage to Coptic churches at Rabaa Adaweya and Nahda squares, according to a report by the Mid-East Christian News.
Dozens of churches were attacked and burned in riots after thousands of demonstrators took to the streets of Cairo and other Egyptian cities to demand the end of what they call military rule, following the removal of Morsi on July 3. Many of Morsi’s supporters have voiced criticism at Egypt’s Christian minority for largely supporting the military’s decision to oust him from office.
“The Egyptian defense minister ordered the engineering department of the armed forces to swiftly repair all the affected churches, in recognition of the historical and national role played by our Coptic brothers,” read a statement that aired on Egyptian television.
Bishop Mousa thanked Sisi for his efforts to repair the damaged churches.
“We thank Col. Gen. Sisi for commissioning the brave Egyptian armed forces to rebuild the places of worship damaged during the recent events,” Bishop Mousa said on Twitter.
17 deaths were reported Friday after several days of violence that caused more than 638 deaths and 4,000 injuries in clashes between Morsi supporters and Egyptian military forces.
The Maspero Youth Union, a Coptic Christian youth movement, says there’s a “retaliation war” against the religious minority, which makes up around 10 percent of Egypt’s population, according to a report by AFP.
The Egyptian Initiative for Personal Rights (EIPR), an Egyptian NGO, says at least 25 churches were torched this week, and attackers also targeted Christian schools, shops and homes across all 27 provinces.
The Associated Press and AFP contributed to this report.

Civil war breaking out across Egypt

Egyptians Pour Into Cairo, Alexandria Streets

by VOA News July 26, 2013

Violent clashes have broken out in Cairo and Alexandria, where tens of thousands of Egyptians took to the streets Friday in dueling rallies – one called by the military to show support for overturning the elected civilian government, the other called by the Muslim Brotherhood to reinforce its demand for the reinstatement of ousted president Mohamed Morsi.

EgyptNews agencies reported at least two people were killed in Alexandria, where supporters and opponents of ousted President Mohamed Morsi pelted each other with rocks. Video showed Muslim Brotherhood supporters firing bird shot at pro-government demonstrators who support the military and its interim government. Many others were reportedly injured.

In Cairo, Morsi supporters clashed in Tahrir Square with some of the thousands of people who answered Army chief Abdel Fattah el-Sissi‘s call for “all honorable Egyptians” to take to the streets to give him a mandate to fight “violence and terrorism.”

As Karim Hassan, one man in the pro-government throng, said, “We are here today in order to support the commander-in-chief of the Egyptian Armed Forces … and give him a green card [a go-ahead] to root out terrorism from Egypt. We can’t wait any longer; the country is burning.”

The demonstrations got under way as an Egyptian judge ordered Morsi to remain in custody for at least 15 more days. He has been held by the military in a secret location since July 3, when the army removed him from power. The official MENA news agency said authorities are investigating charges that Morsi conspired with the Hamas group to help himself and dozens of other Islamist leaders escape from prison during the 2011 uprising that toppled former President Hosni Mubarak. The Muslim Brotherhood has said local residents helped free the prisoners, and a spokesman said Friday that the latest word from the government was proof that Egypt is returning to the tight controls on the public that marked the Mubarak era.

Hamas spokesman Sami Abu Zuhri also rejected the accusations and challenged Egyptian authorities to provide evidence that Hamas intervened in Egypt’s internal affairs.

As they have on a daily basis, Morsi supporters massed Friday outside the Rabia el-Adawiya Mosque in Cairo’s Nasr City, a Brotherhood stronghold, calling for Morsi’s reinstatement.

Morsi’s presidency and his subsequent ouster have bitterly divided Egyptians who see this as a pivotal moment for the country’s future course. Many Islamists view General Sissi’s call for mass popular support as a prelude to a violent crackdown on the Muslim Brotherhood.

Middle East scholar Fouad Ajami of the Hoover Institution said the phenomenon of rival protests has done nothing to resolve Egypt’s underlying political conflict, and has merely authorized Defense Minister Sissi to assume the role of a traditional Arab military ruler.”Pity Egypt when political life has to be adjudicated in the streets, or more precisely in the squares my square against your square, the size of my crowd against the size of your crowd,” Ajami said. “What is truly unique is we witnessed a man in authority, a uniformed man who summons the people to the streets and stokes the very protests that usually would unsettle republics.”

Poverty and other conditions that produced the “Arab Spring” rebellions in early 2011 still exist, Ajami said, and the Islamist movements that nourished rebellions will continue, even as the old guard tries to contain the discontent and repair Egypt.

World leaders are expressing increasing concern about the rising violence, polarization of Egyptian society and the army’s crackdown on Brotherhood leaders. U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon called on all sides this week to exercise restraint, saying he supports the rights of all Egyptians to hold peaceful protests, and called on the Egyptian military to end “arbitrary arrests” and other forms of harassment.

The U.S. has also expressed its concern about Sissi’s calls for mass protests, and the Obama administration said it is delaying the delivery of four F-16 fighter jets to Egypt’s military. However, the White House also has refused to declare that the overthrow of the Cairo government was a coup — a designation that would require suspension of U.S. military and economic aid to Egypt.

The Egyptian military says it was obligated to remove Morsi, Egypt’s first elected president, in the midst of enormous, nationwide protests against his rule.

Sarah tells POS to “grow one”

It’s a sad day for America when a woman tells the man in the Oval Office that he’s got no cojones and needs to “grow one”.

H/t FOTM’s Grouchy Fogie

~Eowyn

Apparently President Obama can’t see Egypt and Libya from his house. On the anniversary of the worst terrorist attacks ever perpetrated on America, our embassy in Cairo and our consulate in Benghazi were attacked by violent Islamic mobs. In Cairo, they scaled the walls of our embassy, destroyed our flag, and replaced it with a black Islamic banner. In Benghazi, the armed gunmen set fire to our consulate and killed an American staff member. The Islamic radicals claim that these attacks are in protest to some film criticizing Islam. In response to this, the U.S. embassy in Cairo issued a statement that was so outrageous many of us thought it must be a satire. The embassy actually apologized to the violent mob attacking us, and it even went so far as to chastise those who use free speech to “hurt the religious feelings of Muslims.” (Funny, the current administration has no problem hurting the “religious feelings” of Catholics.)

But where is the president’s statement about this? These countries represent his much touted “Arab Spring.” How’s that Arab Spring working out for us now? Have we received an apology yet from our “friends” in the Muslim Brotherhood for the assault on our embassy?

It’s about time our president stood up for America and condemned these Islamic extremists. I realize there must be a lot on his mind these days – what with our economy’s abysmal jobless numbers and Moody’s new warning about yet another downgrade to our nation’s credit rating due to the current administration’s failure to come up with a credible deficit reduction plan. And, of course, he has a busy schedule – with all those rounds of golf, softball interviews with the “Pimp with the Limp,” and fundraising dinners with his corporate cronies. But our nation’s security should be of utmost importance to our Commander-in-chief. America can’t afford any more “leading from behind” in such a dangerous world. We already know that President Obama likes to “speak softly” to our enemies. If he doesn’t have a “big stick” to carry, maybe it’s time for him to grow one.

Muslims kill US ambassador to Libya; Hillary apologizes for hurting their feelings

UPDATE: Ambassador Stevens was tortured, killed, his body dragged through the streets of Benghazi. Reportedly, the Libyan security team guarding the U.S. consulate in Benghazi told the violent mob where Stevens was. Read more here.

+++

Yesterday, a Muslim mob stormed the U.S. embassy in Cairo, tearing the American flag to shreds and replacing it with a black Islam flag proclaiming how “great” their demon-god Allah is. The mob rampaged and desecrated the U.S. flag in protest against a new movie that they claim is disrespectful of Islam’s prophet Muhammad, if he actually existed.

(Click here for why the movie is just a ruse.)

Muslims in Libya also ran amuck in a rage about the same movie. They stormed the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, with a dozen Americans inside, guarded only by inept Libyan security; then launched a rocket attack on a car carrying the U.S. ambassador to Libya, 52-year-old Christopher Stevens, killing him and three other embassy staff.

Murdered U.S. Ambassador Christopher Stevens

Tamim Elyan and Omar al-Mosmari report for Reuters, Sept. 12, 2012:

The U.S. ambassador to Libya and three other embassy staff were killed in a rocket attack on their car, a Libyan official said, as they were rushed from a consular building stormed by militants denouncing a U.S.-made film insulting the Prophet Mohammad.

Gunmen had attacked and burned the U.S. consulate in the eastern city of Benghazi, a center of last year’s uprising against Muammar Gaddafi, late on Tuesday evening, killing one U.S. consular official. The building was evacuated.

The Libyan official said the ambassador, Christopher Stevens, was being driven from the consulate building to a safer location when gunmen opened fire. […] Libyan deputy prime minister Mustafa Abu Shagour condemned the killing of the U.S. diplomats as a cowardly act.

The consular official had died after clashes between Libyan security forces and Islamist militants around the consulate building. Looters raided the empty compound and some onlookers took pictures after calm returned.

[…] U.S. pastor Terry Jones, who had inflamed anger in the Muslim world in 2010 with plans to burn the Koran, said he had promoted “Innocence of Muslims”, which U.S. media said was produced by an Israeli-American property developer; but clips of another film called “Mohammad, Prophet of Muslims”, had been circulating for weeks before the protest. That film portrayed Mohammad as a fool, a philanderer and a religious fake. In one clip posted on YouTube Mohammad was shown in a sexual act with a woman.

Jones, a pastor in Florida whose latest stunt fell on the anniversary of the September 11, 2001, attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon, triggered riots in Afghanistan in 2010 with his threat to burn the Koran.

Many Muslims consider any depiction of the Prophet offensive and any depiction of him can cause outbursts of anger in the Islamic world and among Muslims in Europe.

Libya’s interim government has struggled to impose its authority on a myriad of armed groups that have refused to lay down their weapons and often take the law into their own hands. It was clearly overwhelmed by Tuesday night’s attack on the consulate that preceded the assault on the ambassador. “The Libyan security forces came under heavy fire and we were not prepared for the intensity of the attack,” said Abdel-Monem Al-Hurr, spokesman for Libya’s Supreme Security Committee.

In Benghazi, unidentified men had shot at the consulate buildings, while others threw handmade bombs into the compound, setting off small explosions.

ABC News says a group called Ansar al Sharia, with close ties to al Qaeda, has claimed “responsibility” for the attacks in Libya. A senior U.S. official said the State Department is on alert throughout the Arab region and fear there could be more attacks to come.”

While condemning the attacks, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton also apologized for Muslims getting their “feelings” hurt. Referring to the movie, she condemns “the continuing efforts by misguided individuals to hurt the religious feelings of Muslims.” (via Washington Post)

Way to go, Hillary and your boss, the POS in the Oval Office, making a moral equivalence between a movie that Muslims find offensive, and the assassination of a U.S. ambassador and the storming of a U.S. embassy and a U.S. consulate.

The two of you make me puke.

Skippy… I Don't Think So.

Barack Obama,
during his Cairo speech, said:
“I know, too, that Islam has always been a part
of America ‘s story.”
AN AMERICAN
CITIZEN’S RESPONSE:

Dear Mr. Obama:
Were those Muslims that were in America when the Pilgrims first landed? Funny, I thought they were Native American Indians.
Were those Muslims that celebrated the first Thanksgiving day? Sorry again, those were Pilgrims and Native American Indians.
Can you show me one Muslim signature on the United States Constitution?
Declaration of Independence? Bill of Rights? Didn’t think so.
Did Muslims fight for this country’s freedom from England ? No.
Did Muslims fight during the Civil War to free the slaves in America ? No, they did not. In fact, Muslims to this day are still the largest traffickers in human slavery.. Your own half brother, a devout Muslim, still advocates slavery himself, even though Muslims of Arabic descent refer to black Muslims as “pug nosed slaves.” Says a lot of what the Muslim world really thinks of your family’s “rich Islamic heritage,” doesn’t it Mr. Obama?
Where were Muslims during the Civil Rights era of this country? Not present. There are no pictures or media accounts of Muslims walking side by side with Marti n Luther King, Jr. or helping to advance the cause of Civil Rights.
Where were Muslims during this country’s Woman’s Suffrage era? Again, not present. In fact, devout Muslims demand that women are subservient to men in the Islamic culture. So much so, that often they are beaten for not wearing the ‘hajib’ or for talking to a man who is not a direct family member or their husband. Yep, the Muslims are all for women’s rights,
aren’t they?
Where were Muslims during World War II? They were aligned with Adolf Hitler. The Muslim grand mufti himself met with Adolf Hitler, reviewed the troops and accepted support from the Nazi’s in killing Jews.
Finally, Mr. Obama, where were Muslims on Sept. 11th, 2001? If they weren’t flying planes into the World Trade Center , the Pentagon or a field in Pennsylvania killing nearly 3,000 people on our own soil, they were rejoicing in the Middle East. No one can dispute the pictures shown from all parts of the Muslim world celebrating on CNN, Fox News, MSNBC and other cable news networks that day. Strangely, the very “moderate” Muslims whose asses you bent over backwards to kiss in Cairo , Egypt on June 4th were stone cold silent post 9-11. To many Americans, their silence has meant approval for the acts of that day.
And THAT, Mr. Obama, is the “rich heritage” Muslims have here in America.
Oh, I’m sorry, I forgot to mention the Barbary Pirates. They were Muslim.
And now we can add November 5, 2009 – the slaughter of American soldiers at Fort Hood by a Muslim major who is a doctor and a psychiatrist who was supposed to be counseling soldiers returning from battle in Iraq and Afghanistan.
That, Mr. Obama is the “Muslim heritage” in America.

David Rockefeller Lays it on the Line

Population Control, Agenda 21, the UN…. the Rockefellers have been in it up to their necks for about 100 years.    Charlotte Iserbyt has the transcripts of the Reece Committee Hearings as free pdf downloads on her website, American Deception .   She paid her friend who had the only copy $3,000.00 for them.  The Rockefeller Foundation, Carnegie Endowment and Ford Foundations were dying to get their hands on them to be sure they were destroyed.

Just enter “Reece Committee” as a search term.     If you have room on your harddrive of flash drive, download it to have for it’s “quotability” you don’t have to read the whole thing.  There are tremendous nuggets in those documents the establishment wants to keep hidden!   ~LTG
