Dozens of Muslims leave company that limits prayer to scheduled breaks

It’s kind of hard to halt a production line several times a day to accommodate a prayer break. The manufacturing process is sensitive yet apparently the Muslims who work/worked there are more sensitive.

Dozens of Muslim employees at a Wisconsin manufacturer say they are now out of a job after the company changed its prayer-on-the-job policy.

Fox News reports that Brillion-based Ariens Company changed their policy last Thursday. The policy originally allowed Muslim employees to leave the production line twice a shift to pray two of their five daily required prayers. Workers would pray five minutes at a time, assigning their duties to colleagues while they prayed.

But Ariens is now asking employees to pray during scheduled breaks. A company representative told WBAY-TV the “manufacturing environment does not allow for unscheduled breaks in production.”

The company’s new policy change affects 53 workers. Ten of those employees have indicated they wish to stay in their current positions under the new policy, the company said. Ariens said the company “put a considerable amount of effort into finding a solution that allows for employees of Muslim faith to pray during work hours,” including meeting with members of the company’s Somali employee group and consulting with local Muslim faith representatives.

The company said in a statement, “We are open to any of the employees returning to work under the new policy or will look for openings in shifts that do not coincide with prayer time. We respect their faith, and we respect their decision regardless of their choice to return to work or not.”

Of course, the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) wasn’t pleased with any of this. They called on Ariens to allow Muslim workers to pray at work using the previous policy until the dispute is resolved. “These types of accommodation disputes can be resolved in a spirit of respect for constitutionally-protected religious rights and for the legitimate needs of both employees and employers,” CAIR spokesman Ibrahim Hooper said in a news release.

Not Islamophobia: Member of Houston mosque started the fire

CAIR all of a sudden changing their tune on the “Islamophobia” angle.

"Jamal Moore"

“Jamal Moore”

Gary Nathaniel Moore, aka”Jamal” Moore, now faces a charge of arson for setting fire to a southwest Houston mosque on Christmas day.

As ABC News 13 reports, Houston Fire Department’s chief arson investigator said, There’s no motive that’s clear to us right now. Nothing’s been revealed. He was a member of that mosque. He was there for several years.

Jamal admitted to being there before the flames sparked, but has not admitted guilt.

Investigators found matching cans of charcoal lighter fluid at the mosque and at Moore’s house. They would not talk about additional evidence at a press conference with elected leaders and the ATF Wednesday afternoon.

“We view arson as a violent crime,” said the ATF’s Special Agent In Charge in Houston, Robert Elder. ” It is a crime that is not only an attack on a building. It’s an attack on the community.”

Even though Jamal is of Muslim faith and was a member of the mosque he set on fire, some are still calling for an increased police presence at the city’s dozens of mosques. Apparently you cannot let facts get in the way of a narrative.

“I think we need some protection from HPD,” said Manzoor Memon, who attended the press conference. “We ask the police officers that while they are doing their paperwork they should hide themselves close to the mosque.”

As for Moore, the lack of motive is what is most puzzling for those in the Muslim community. “We’re really concerned about what could have, what is his issue?” asked Mustafa Carroll with the Council on American-Islamic Relations. “What could have caused him to do something like this?”

Jamal sits in jail on a $100,000 bond.

And guess how the “media” outlet Salon reported the story of the mosque being set on fire by one of its own members? They deleted their story because it didn’t fit the Islamophobia narrative. That’s today’s journalism propaganda for you.

The truth about Ahmed, the Muslim “clock boy”

Please see the latest outrage from Ahmed: “Muslim ‘clock boy’ wants $15M for ‘permanently scarring’ his reputation

On September 14, 2015, 14-year-old Ahmed Mohamed was arrested at MacArthur High School in Irving, Texas for bringing an alleged hoax bomb to school. News of the arrest rapidly went viral, resulting in allegations of racial profiling and Islamophobia.

As recounted by Wikipedia, Mohamed had reconstructed an electronic clock in a pencil box and brought it to school to show his teachers. His English teacher thought the clock resembled a bomb, confiscated it and reported the boy to the school’s principal. Local law enforcement was called and Mohamed was questioned by police for an hour and a half. After being taken into custody, handcuffed, and transported to a juvenile detention facility, he was fingerprinted and his photograph was taken. He was then released to his parents. The case was not pursued further by juvenile justice authorities, but Mohamed was suspended from school for three days.

After Obama, other politicians, activists, technology company executives, and media personalities remarked on the incident, Mohamed was invited to the White House and a number of high-profile events related to encouraging youth interest in science and technology. After the incident, the family decided to move to Qatar, accepting a scholarship offered to Mohamed by the Qatar Foundation.

Ahmed Mohamed clock boy

Here is the truth about Ahmed, the Muslim clock boy, from an article, “Clock and Bull Story,” by author William Kilpatrick in Crisis Magazine, Oct. 26, 2015. Kilpatrick demonstrates that the national media, once again, can’t be bothered with finding out and reporting the truth.

You’ve no doubt heard about the “clock boy”—the 14-year-old Muslim student who brought a self-made clock to school to show to his teachers and was then detained by police on the suspicion that the clock might be a bomb.

The media pounced on the story as a classic case of Islamophobia, the president complimented Ahmed Mohamed on his “cool clock” and invited him to the White House, and just about everyone agreed that the young bespectacled clock maker was a boy genius. Offers of scholarship money poured in from giant social media companies, and the Cambridge Public Library, which might have been expected to show more prudence (it stands next to Cambridge Rindge and Latin—the school attended by the Boston Marathon bombers), hosted a “Stand with Ahmed and Build Your Own Clock Day.”

And then the clock narrative began to unwind. It turns out that Ahmed didn’t make the clock, but had merely taken out the innards of a Radio Shack digital clock and installed it in a cigar box. What’s more, it appears that the boy was not as innocent as portrayed. The first teacher he showed it to told him to put it in his locker and not show it around. Nevertheless, Ahmed continued to show it around until he found a teacher who reacted with the apparently desired response.

When the Irving, Texas police showed up, they found the boy to be uncooperative, and, seeing that a few months previously, two jihadists had attempted to machine-gun an art exhibition in nearby Garland, they thought it prudent to detain Ahmed until they were sure of the situation.

The case that the teen was deliberately trying to provoke a confrontation was strengthened as more was learned about his family. His older sister, Eyman, was once suspended from her school for threatening to blow it up. His uncle runs a trucking company called Twin Towers Transportation. And his father, Mohamed Elhassan Mohamed, is a publicity hungry activist who calls himself a sheik, wears flowing white robes, and is a 9/11 Truther. The elder Mohamed routinely returns to Sudan to run as a presidential candidate, and he once debated Pastor Terry Jones of Koran-burning fame.

In one of his posts (in Arabic), Ahmed’s father rails against Islamophobia and says that “Muslims … must exploit every opportunity to reveal the truth of Islam.” He has certainly done that. With the help of his lawyers, publicists from CAIR (the Council on American-Islamic Relations), and considerable assist from the media, Mr. Mohamed has parlayed the incident into a whirlwind global publicity campaign. In recent months this has included an appearance for his son on the Dr. Oz show, a photo-op with the Queen of Jordan at the UN, and a world tour for the family. The tour took the family to Mecca and to meetings with various world leaders, including the genocidal president of Sudan, Omar al-Bashir. To top it all off, the media’s favorite all-American family then decided to relocate to Qatar in response to an offer from the Qatar Foundation for Ahmed to study at its Young Innovators Program.

“Muslims … must exploit every opportunity to reveal the truth of Islam”? In retrospect, it looks like Mr. Mohamed not only “exploits” opportunities, but also does his best to create them. The whole incident seems to be a pre-planned family plot intended to reinforce the Islamophobia narrative and gain some publicity for the family in the bargain.

Instead of a classic case of Islamophobia, the clock boy affair might better be seen as a classic case of stealth jihad. It’s reminiscent of the “flying imams” incident several years back in which a group of six imams praying loudly in Arabic and otherwise behaving in unusual ways scared the daylights out of fellow passengers on a flight to Phoenix. After being ejected from the plane prior to take off, the imams turned around and sued not only the airline and the police, but also passengers who had reported their suspicious behavior to the flight crew. Eventually U.S. Airways and the imams settled out of court for an undisclosed amount. Fearful that the incident would have a chilling effect on airport security, Congress passed a law to give immunity to citizens who report suspicious behavior.

Will the Ahmed affair have a similar chilling effect? Will teachers be more likely to look the other way when Muslim students act suspiciously? We are continually reminded that if we see something we should say something. But what if the penalty for seeing and saying is to be held up for ridicule by everyone from the press to the president? By instantly granting celebrity status to the Muslim community’s young Tom Edison, the social elites were implying that the teachers and police back in Irving were just paranoid rednecks. In fact, Ahmed himself said something to that effect. In an interview with Al-Jazeera, he stated that he was detained “because I’m a Muslim.” “There is a lot of stereotypes [sic] for people who are foreigners and [when] they have Muslim names … no, this would not have happened to any of my classmates.”

As a reward for his battle against Islamophobia, CAIR presented Ahmed with the American Muslim of the Year Award at its 21st annual “Champions for Justice” banquet. By sheer coincidence, the ubiquitous CAIR was the group that provided legal counsel for the flying imams in their successful action against U.S. Airways. CAIR, which bills itself as a civil rights group, is considered by some to be the premier stealth jihad organization in the U.S. It has close ties with the Muslim Brotherhood, and in a 2008 court decision it was designated as an unindicted co-conspirator in a large-scale terrorist funding operation. And, although CAIR is considered by the U.S. government to be a model of moderation, the government of the United Arab Emirates includes it on its list of worldwide terrorist organizations.

But, to employ the obvious pun, who cares about all that when CAIR features photogenic “Champions of Justice” at its annual banquet and when the media treats it as though it were a branch of the Red Cross? The most disturbing aspect of the clock boy affair is not its apparently duplicitous nature, but the willingness of establishment institutions to sign up for the campaign against Islamophobia.

It’s to be expected that CAIR will put a happy face on all things Islamic. As the Geico commercial says, “that’s what they do.” But why the social and political elites continued to lend a hand even after the clock story had unwound is harder to fathom. What they are celebrating is a process by which Americans are made to feel ashamed for raising security concerns. […]

9/11 woke up America, but since then many Americans have fallen into a semi-comatose state, knocked slap-happy by repeated politically correct blows to the head. Thanks in part to the PR work of groups like CAIR and their boosters in media and government, a sizable number of citizens have gone back to sleep. The digital clock that Ahmed Mohamed brought to school was fully intact except for its casing. The clock-and-bull story manufactured by the social elites is also carefully put together—except for one detail. Someone removed the alarm.

Obama administration bans pork from federal prison menus

Obama bowing to the king of Islamic Saudi Arabia

Obama bowing to the king of Islamic Saudi Arabia

Lisa Rein reports for The Washington Post, Oct. 9, 2015, that U.S. pork producers are in an uproar after the Obama administration abruptly removed bacon, pork chops, pork links, ham and all other pig products from the menu for 206,000 federal prison inmates.

The ban began on October 1, the beginning of a new fiscal year.

The Department of Justice’s Bureau of Prisons, which is responsible for running 122 federal penitentiaries and feeding their inmates three meals a day, insisted that the pork ban was based on a survey of prisoners’ food preferences which allegedly show that prisoners just don’t like the taste of pork.

Bureau of Prisons spokesman Edmond Ross said, “Why keep pushing food that people don’t want to eat? Pork has been the lowest-rated food by inmates for several years.” Ross also claimed that pork became more expensive, but he did not provide specifics.

National Pork Producers Council (NPPC), the Washington-based trade association that represents America’s hog farmers, isn’t buying it. Its spokesman, Dave Warner, said, “I find it hard to believe that a survey would have found a majority of any population saying, ‘No thanks, I don’t want any bacon.’ We’re going to find out how this came about and go from there. We wouldn’t rule out any options to resolve this.” He said the association “is still formulating our strategy” to reverse the prison decision.

NPPC first learned about the ban 5 days after it began, on October 5, when the Fort Worth Star-Telegram called for comment.

The pork industry produces 24 billion pounds a year of pork products, from tenderloin to bacon, its most popular product. About a quarter of that is exported.

Warner said pork is healthy and economical, especially for a big buyer like the federal government because “we cost a lot less than beef.” He said pork is nutritious: “A boneless pork chop or loin is a very healthy alternative to lots of other foods. If you compare a pork tenderloin to a rib eye steak and a boneless chicken breast, we come out pretty well.”

But Ross insisted that annual surveys of inmates’ food preferences show pork to be unpopular, and that the government was “paying more than what we’d like to pay. People are more health conscious these days. Some people choose to be vegetarian or vegan.”

Observant Muslims and Jews are forbidden to eat pork, and the prison system has long made accommodations for them by providing alternatives to pork, as well as halal and kosher foods. Ross declined to say whether there has been an increase in Muslim or Jewish inmates in recent years and whether that may have factored into the survey responses.

Ibrahim Hooper, a spokesman for the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), the largest Muslim civil rights advocacy group in the U.S., welcomes the change “because it’s facilitating the accommodation of Muslim inmates. He said that anti-Islam groups would spin the decision into a case of the federal government acting under pressure from Muslims as “This is just the kind of thing that drives them crazy. It will stoke the fires of Islamophobia based on the usual conspiracy theories.”

US black Muslim inmates

Both Hooper and Bureau of Prison’s Edmond Ross are being disingenuous.

According to Joy Brighton of The Daily Caller, Nov. 21, 2014, as many as one out of three “African-American” inmates in U.S. prisons convert to Islam while incarcerated.

But it’s not just black prison inmates who are converted to Islam. The Huffington Post reported an estimated 35,000 – 40,000 inmates convert to Islam each year, and that 15% of the total U.S. prison population or 350,000 inmates are Muslim. This is more than 18 times the national representation of Muslims in America, reported to be 0.8%. Prisons are churning out converts to Islam who are taught they are righteously entitled to control the religion, speech, and dress of family, co-workers and strangers.

That’s because the federal government has been contracting and paying Muslim Brotherhood front groups, such as GSISS (The Graduate School of Islamic and Social Sciences) and ISNA (Islamic Society of North America) to screen and assign Muslim prison chaplains for at least 8 years.

While Egypt and Saudi Arabia have banned the Muslim Brotherhood, classifying it as a terror group, the White House, U.S. prisons, and the Departments of Justice and Homeland Security continue to work with Muslim Brotherhood groups.

Allen West, Another Neo-Con

Our ‘neoconservatives’ are neither new nor conservative, but old as Babylon and evil as Hell. Edward Abbey, American author

And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none. Therefore have I poured out mine indignation upon them; I have consumed them with the fire of my wrath: their own way have I recompensed upon their heads, saith the Lord GOD. Ezekiel 22:30-31

Allen West’s Military Service

Allen Bernard West was born in Georgia, graduated from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, and then joined the United States Army in 1983. He was deployed to Kuwait in 1991, and Iraq in 2003. In 2003, West was charged in an incident that involved the beating and simulated execution of an Iraqi police officer. He was fined $5,000, accepted a Non-judicial punishment and after 20 years of service, was allowed to retire as a lieutenant colonel after an Article 32 hearing.

West made an agonizing moral decision to save his men from a likely ambush. To do so, he shot off a pistol next to the head of a suspect, forcing him to confess vital lifesaving intelligence. Col. West didn’t do that to punish the man, but to save lives, and it worked. However, the military considered his actions to be harsh interrogation tactics.

West reported his actions to his superiors, and he had to know it would cost him his career. He very well could have ended up in prison as well as costing him personal agonies. Yet, he made the right decision and it saved his men.
In 2004, Col. West returned to Afghanistan as an advisor to the Afghan army, an assignment he finished in November 2007. During his Army career, he was honored many times, earning a Bronze Star, three Meritorious Service Medals, three Army Commendation Medals (one with Valor), and a Valorous Unit Award. He received his valor award as a Captain in Desert Shield/Storm, was the US Army ROTC Instructor of the Year in 1993, and was a Distinguished Honor Graduate III Corps Assault School.

West Runs for Congressman

In 2008, when Col. West ran for representative in Florida’s 22nd Congressional District, he lost to Democrat Ron Klein.

West was one of 32 black Republican candidates for Congress in 2010. He said he supported the Tea Party movement and rejected the notion that the movement was motivated by racism, saying the accusation was a creation of liberal critics and the news media. West was described as a “tea party star.” His stance on Islamic terrorists convinced many patriotic and conservative Americans to support him for Congress. He has even spoken out about Islamists infiltrating the military. Link He raised $5.4 million and stated that 97% of his donations came from individuals, and I was happy to be one of those individuals. I thought West was truly a Constitutional conservative, but once again, I was wrong.

Congressman West became a member of the congressional Tea Party Caucus, in February 2011. However, the TP Caucus died a quick death and was all but defunct by 2012.

On February 1, 2012, West announced that he would run for reelection from the new 18th Congressional District, which consists of a majority of the previous 16th Congressional District. He had been redistricted. He received a primary challenge from Martin County Sheriff Robert Crowder, but won the primary. Crowder later endorsed Democrat Patrick Murphy, a political newcomer and a Republican until 2011. Unfortunately, West lost his re-election bid to Murphy, and it was not only because of being redistricted, but because he had lost his grassroots Tea Party support. Here is why he lost that support:

Allen West voted for the Pigford II farm payouts to non-existent black farmers against his constituents’ wishes, and the TP people were quite angry about it. Allen apologized and admitted he didn’t do his homework. Link

Allen West supported Speaker John Boehner’s plan for cutting spending and raising the debt ceiling, even though his fellow Tea Party supporters were very skeptical. Link Cut Cap and Balance raised the debt limit against his constituents wishes. Link

When Congressman West was interviewed on the Laura Ingraham show after the debt vote, Ingraham asked him how he felt about his Tea Party supporters being very angry at him for his vote. He actually answered her by calling his Tea Party supporters, “Schizos.” Video recording

Allen West voted against cutting 100 Million from Obama care, against his constituents’ wishes. Link

Allen West voted for the horrid NDAA and insists there is nothing in the bill that would allow military arrest and detention of American citizens. I’ve read the bill and hundreds of others have too. Link Allen West was on the NDAA committee. Link And why was there a provision that would allow the president to order the death of an American citizen without a trial? Link Again, this was against the wishes of his constituents.

Col. Allen West has capitulated on his anti-Islam stance. Link He wrote a letter to members of the Interfaith Alliance which was in contrast to his previous speeches stating his stance on Islamic terrorists.

These various votes cost West his Tea Party backing. Here’s a link to West’s Congressional voting record.

West’s New CEO Position

On Tuesday, February 12, 2015, the Tea Parties in northern Texas hosted an event to welcome former Congressman Allen West to Texas. He has been named the CEO of the formerly conservative National Center for Policy Analysis, (NCPA) a national policy think tank based in Dallas. Since the libertarian Koch brothers gave the organization $570,000, the NCPA is singing a different tune. (The Koch brothers are planning to spend $1 billion on the election in 2016, partly for a Rand Paul presidency. Link David Koch is on the board of Trustees of Rockefeller University. He is also on the board of Earthwatch Institute, an environmental, sustainability, Agenda 21 group. See this map of Koch’s many connections. David Koch also supports abortion, gay marriage and stem-cell research. He is also on the board of the globalist new age Aspen Institute formerly headed by new age environmentalist, and UN Agenda 21 author, Maurice Strong.)

Under the “About” category in the NCPA website, you’ll find dozens of their experts, and the first person listed is Bob McTeer, who is best known for his 36-year career with the Federal Reserve System, including 14 years as President of the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas and member of the Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC).

Another expert is Estelle James, PhD, who is a consultant to the World Bank, USAID and other international organizations. Previously she was Lead Economist at the World Bank and Director of the Bank’s flagship course on pension reform. She has also served on the Governing Board of the new pension fund in Kosovo and the President’s Commission to Strengthen Social Security in the U.S.

NCPA (Allen West) Invites Traitor to Lecture in Dallas

Sounds like a really conservative bunch of folks, doesn’t it? To top it off, the first guest under Col. West’s new leadership role is Glenn Greenwald who was a contributor for the leftist Salon Magazine and The Guardian.

The following email combines two which were sent to Col. West asking why he would allow Greenwald to speak to them:

Dear Allen,

It is beyond shocking for your organization to provide a forum for an individual who is a paid shill for the Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR), a Muslim Brotherhood/Hamas affiliate. CAIR is an unindicted co-conspirator in the Holy Land Foundation trial, the largest terrorism funding trial in U.S. history.

Clearly, Glenn Greenwald, sidekick to Edward Snowden, has been engaged in aiding and abetting the Islamic terrorist enemy. Reportedly, Greenwald fed classified information to Nihad Awad, the head of CAIR and the subject of a major terrorism probe, and refused to help the FBI investigations of jihadists in America.

This is what Greenwald had to say about CAIR/Hamas:

Glenn Greenwald

“There really is no organization with which I’d rather be spending my time, or which I feel more at home than CAIR.” “I’m really glad to be a part of anything that CAIR does and to support the organization in any way that I can.” (Emphasis mine)

What is the justification for the NCPA’s invitation to a traitor and Islamist sympathizer like Glenn Greenwald?

Would you invite Nihad Awad? How about Mohammed Magid or Mohamed Elibiary?

Here is Col. West’s answer, which is also a combination of two emails:

First of all this was already scheduled before my arrival. Secondly when did Constitutional Conservatives start censoring free speech like liberal progressives?

Let me be very clear and explain something, I am not afraid to engage anyone in the arena of ideological and philosophical debate. Now, if you want to attend the event, feel free to come and ask a question as there is a 20 min Q&A session. But as I said, when did constitutional conservatives become so fearful, like liberal progressives, that they censor free speech. If you do not have the confidence in your ability to stand upon your principles against any opposing view — that is your choice. However, do not portend to take a confrontational tone with me because I do not operate in the realm of fear.
Have a great day

I would agree with Allen West, I would not want free speech censored, but neither would I invite the enemy into my house. And this is what Allen West and the NCPA have done. As well, the tone of the email was not confrontational, but informative, and it questioned the logic of the leadership in their decision to have Greenwald speak. This is certainly not what I expected of Allen West when I funded his Congressional campaign in 2010. Sadly, far too many political activists are wolves in sheep’s clothing, and Allen West has proven he is just like the rest of them.

Waiting for Ferguson grand jury, St. Louis buys guns and prepares for worst

People in St. Louis, Missouri, are preparing for the worst as they await the grand jury’s decision in the police shooting death of 300-lb. Michael Brown on August 9, 2014, in Ferguson, a suburb of St. Louis.

The shooting of the black 18-year-old by white officer Darren Wilson had sparked looting and weeks of sometimes-violent protests all through the month of August. Fearing for his life, Officer Wilson has been in hiding on paid leave ever since the shooting.

On Monday, Missouri Governor Jay Nixon declared a state of emergency and called out the National Guard in advance of the decision by the grand jury.

Gun shops in the St. Louis area reportedly are selling everything they can get their hands on.

Metro Shooting Supplies, near the city’s main airport, is selling two to three times more weapons than usual in recent weeks — an average of 30 to 50 guns each day. Owner Steven King said, “We’re selling everything that’s not nailed down. Police aren’t going to be able to protect every single individual. If you don’t prepare yourself and get ready for the worst, you have no one to blame but yourself.”

Other gun dealers say their sales spikes are comparable to the increases seen soon after Brown’s death on Aug. 9. County Guns owner Adam Weinstein said, “I’ve probably sold more guns this past month than all of last year.” Last summer, Weinstein had fended off looters with an assault rifle and pistol at his storefront on West Florissant Avenue, the roadway that was the scene of many nightly protests.

Many commenters on the “St. Louis Coptalk” forum expressed fears that demonstrators will take to the streets regardless of the grand jury’s decision. A man who calls himself “A Concerned [Ferguson] Cop” issued a warning to the community to protect their families with firearms:

If you do not have a gun, get one and get one soon. We will not be able to protect you or your family. It will be your responsibility to protect them. Our gutless commanders and politicians have neutered us. I’m serious, get a gun, get more than one, and keep one with you at all times.”

While the commenter’s status as a police officer cannot be confirmed, his warning is neither alarmist nor preposterous. None other than the FBI had released an intelligence bulletin stating a grand jury decision “will likely be exploited by some individuals to justify threats and attacks against law enforcement and critical infrastructure.”

Indeed, the protest group RbG Black Rebels tweeted a stream of violent online posts saying “We are paying $5k cash for location of Ofc. Darren Wilson. Real $, no joke, no crime we just wana get his photo an ask him a few questions,” and boasting of “combat experience,” “stockpiling” ammunition, cleaning out gun stores and being #WarReady.

RbG Black Rebels tweet
It doesn’t help that Muslims are exploiting the Ferguson unrest by equating Brown’s death to the death of a black radical Islamist, Detroit mosque leader Imam Luqman Ameen Abdullah, who was shot during an FBI raid in 2009.

Luqman Ameen Abdullah, b. Christopher Thomas in 1956

Luqman Ameen Abdullah, b. Christopher Thomas in 1956

Federal prosecutors say Abdullah was a separatist intent on overthrowing the U.S. government. But Dawud Walid, executive director of CAIR’s Michigan Chapter, calls Abdullah a martyr and portrays both Abdullah and Brown as victims of a national security apparatus that had “completely gone wild” and engaged in “demonizing and criminalizing Muslims.” (Michael Brown was not a Muslim. He was buried in August after a memorial service at the Friendly Temple Missionary Baptist Church in St. Louis.)

Kyle Shideler, director of the Washington-based watchdog group Center for Security Policy’s Threat Information Office, says that CAIR and other radical Muslims are “interested in building coalitions with other organizations in order to effect a legislative change to weaken anti-terrorism laws and weaken the ability of law enforcement to engage in counter terrorism.”

Washington National Cathedral in D.C. to host Muslim prayer service

National Cathedral

The National Cathedral in Washington, D.C., an Episcopal church known for presidential funerals, describes itself as not just a place of worship, but “a national treasure” and “the spiritual home for the [American] nation.”

As “the spiritual home” for the American people, it is of no small import that the National Cathedral will host a Muslim prayer service for the first time tomorrow — all in the interest of promoting “religious freedom.”

The cathedral is partnering with ADAMS mosque in Sterling, Va. and other U.S. Muslim groups to, in the words of mosque spokesman Rizwan Jaka, show the world that “the Christian community is partnering with us and is supporting our religious freedom in the same way we are calling for religious freedom for all minorities in Muslim countries. Let this be a lesson to the world.”

Gina Campbell

Gina Campbell

The unusual partnership developed out of a relationship between the cathedral’s director of liturgy Rev. Gina Campbell, and the South African ambassador to the United States, Ebrahim Rasool, who is Muslim, when the two worked together on a memorial service for Nelson Mandela.

Rasool said in a prepared statement, ““This is a dramatic moment in the world and in Muslim-Christian relations. This needs to be a world in which all are free to believe and practice and in which we avoid bigotry, Islamaphobia, racism, anti-Semitism, and anti-Christianity and to embrace our humanity and to embrace faith.” Blah, blah, blah.

The cathedral’s significance is fully recognized by Gina Campbell. She said that while many other non-Muslim places of worship around the country host Muslim services, the cathedral is different because “This is the place where we bury our presidents, where we bury our national heroes. Deep relationships come out of prayer. Different connections come out of being in prayer — beyond the political or academic.”

The prayer service will begin around 12:20 pm tomorrow and is for invited guests only. About 100 people will be at the service, which will be spoken and chanted without music. Muslim leaders will bring prayer carpets. Rasool will deliver the khutbah or sermon at the service, which will be held in a part of the massive cathedral “with arches and limited iconography, almost mosque-like,” a statement from the cathedral said.

The event is being co-sponsored by the cathedral, Rasool and several Muslim religious and advocacy groups:

  • ADAMS (All Dulles Area Muslim Society): three of ADAMS’s 22 weekly services are held at two synagogues and a church. ADAMS is hosting a fundraiser for Christian religious freedom in Pakistan, and it regularly hosts non-Muslim speakers.
  • CAIR (Council on American Islamic Relations)
  • Islamic Society of North America
  • Muslim Public Affairs Council
  • Masjid Muhammad mosque in Northwest Washington

The service will be streamed live at the Cathedral’s Web site.

Below are choice commentaries by three Washington Post readers:

I wonder if the following will be recited,
لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا الله مُحَمَّدٌ رَسُولُ اللهlā ʾilāha ʾillā-llāh, muhammadun rasūlu-llāh “There is no god but God, Muhammad is the messenger of God”. If so, I wonder if the Cathedral’s rector will be aware of its significance.

Well, perhaps CAIR will tell us when the Jewish Seder will be celebrated at a prominent mosque in the US, or its lobbying efforts to return Istanbul’s Hagia Sophia (Wisdom of God) to the Orthodox Church. The local threatened to riot during Pope Benedict XVI’s visit if he so much as pronounced a blessing.

Does this mean that there soon will be a church built in Mecca? That the slaughter of Christians in the Moslem world will come to an end? What is the quid pro quo here?

To the Washington Post – please list ANY mosque ANYWHERE in the world which will invite a priest, a rabbi, a pastor, a Buddhist monk or ANY other faith to hold services in its mosque. Tolerance is a one way street with these muslims. I am sick of these people and them forcing their culture and laws and ideology on the rest of us.
