Fifth-grade student punished for calling student “ma’am” after she asked him not to

Good grief. I live in Oklahoma and get called “ma’am” everyday. Clerks also call me “hon” and “sweetie.”

Some people have too much butthurt in their lives.

From Daily Mail: A fifth-grade boy has been punished for calling his teacher ‘ma’am’ after she asked him not to use the term of respect.

Student Tamarion Wilson, 10, was made to write out the word ‘ma’am’ repeatedly during class on Tuesday at North East Carolina Preparatory School in Tarboro, North Carolina.

His mother Teretha Wilson was shocked when he returned home from the public charter school with the sheet of paper, for her to sign in order to complete the punishment.

‘I asked him what happened. He said he got in trouble for saying “yes ma’am”,’ the mother told ABC 11.

The teacher had apparently warned the class not to call her ‘ma’am’, although the reason for the prohibition is not entirely clear.

While the term of respect is sometimes reserved for married women, or those presumed old enough to have children, in many parts of the South it is used for women of all ages.

Tamarion was hospitalized last month for a seizure illness that included hallucinations and memory loss, although the teacher was not aware of his condition, Wilson said.

When the boy called the teacher ‘ma’am’ after she had prohibited it, the teacher said that if she had something to throw, she would have thrown it at the boy, according to Wilson.

The teacher, who has several years of experience, admitted in a parent conference to saying she would like to throw something, but said it was a joke, Wilson said.

Wilson and Tamarion’s father, McArthur Bryant, said that they had raised their children to address their elders as ‘sir’ and ‘ma’am’.

‘As a father, to feel kind of responsible for that…knowing that I have been raising him and doing the best that I can, it’s not acceptable,’ Bryant told the ABC affiliate.

Wilson met with the teacher and the principal on Wednesday, and requested that Tamarion be placed in a different classroom. The principal granted the request, Wilson said.

The school released a brief statement, saying: ‘This is a personnel matter which has been handled appropriately by the K-7 principal.’

North East Carolina Preparatory School is a public charter school with grades kindergarten through 12. Enrollment was 960 at the beginning of the school year.

General strike, rally called for this weekend in Seattle

trump-triggeredFrom MyNorthwest.com: Better stock up on essentials before the weekend — just in case. A National General Strike, a Seattle area strike, and a rally have been called for. And as with any event in Seattle, whether it be a Seahawks game or a protest march, locals should plan for traffic and other interruptions.
A general strike means no working, no school, and no shopping. For many people, this should be easy. According to the Facebook event for the general strike, it will run from Feb. 17-20 (Friday through Monday). It covers the weekend and Presidents Day, which some workers have off as a holiday.
The event is organized by General Strike USA. It’s a bit wordy, but according to the event page:
WE DEMAND RECONSTITUTION. Disrupt the economy until we have a government, instead of being had by one. This is how we stop Trump and the entire corrupt political establishment before they destroy us and the planet we call home.
At this dangerous point in our history, we must confront a bitter truth: any political system that can allow Donald Trump to come to power is not a system worth keeping. Indeed, our elections, as controlled by the major political parties, offer us merely a contest of personalities rather than a choice between real alternatives. These contests mask the major parties’ underlying unity in a neoliberal economic establishment that serves the wealthy few at the expense of the impoverished many.
The general strike promotes a change of the system, not a change within the system, and encourages dismantling the establishment.
So far, the Facebook event has more than 2,000 people signed up, nationally, to participate, with 3,000 more interested in taking part. And 22,000 more have been invited to strike.
General strike in Seattle: A separate, unrelated general strike is organized in Seattle amid the national event. The Solidarity Strike is slated to take place between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m., Feb. 17 at Volunteer Park in Seattle. It is organized by Solidarity for Justice in Education.
As the organization’s name implies, the strike is more focused on Washington’s education system as lawmakers are in session, attempting to fully fund it. The State of Washington has been ordered by its own Supreme Court to fully fund education. But there has been a tug-of-war between Democrats and Republicans on just how to do that.
The event notice states: Solidarity Demonstration to #Resist the WA Senate Republican proposal to fund education by undermining collective bargaining rights of Education Workers. All Labor Unions are welcome and encouraged to stand in support of this Legislative attack on Unions. No Right to Work in Washington.
The Seattle event has 1,300 people interested in taking part, and 324 confirmed to go. There are 1,600 more invited to come. Comments on the event’s page seem to have a theme — it would have a better turnout if organizers planned it on the weekend, instead of during the workday.
Free Daniel rally: Before Seattle’s strike in Volunteer Park, another event has been put together at the last minute by a range of organizers, including Seattle Councilmember Kshama Sawant.
The “Free Daniel Rally Against Deportations Fight Trump!” is scheduled for 9 a.m. at the Seattle Federal Courthouse in downtown Seattle. At least 1,000 people are interested in attending, and more than 200 have committed to going. Another 1,400 have been invited.
The event is partially motivated by a series of immigration roundups and detainments. Then, locally, Daniel Ramirez Medina was detained after he had an encounter with the law. He is covered under regulations passed under the Obama administration that allows immigrants who entered the country as minors to stay in renewable two-year periods. That regulation is known as Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, or DACA.
The Facebook event states: Over the last week, Trump’s administration has detained and deported 600+ immigrants. Here in Seattle, on Tuesday 2/14, Daniel Ramirez Medina, a 23-year-old father who has received repeated approval to stay and work under the DACA program, was taken by ICE.  Medina has a court appearance on Friday during the rally.
The Department of Homeland Security argues another perspective. It says that those protected under DACA can be deported if they are perceived as threats to public safety.
According to a press release from DHS:
On February 10, Daniel Ramirez-Medina, a gang member, was encountered at a residence in Des Moines, Washington, during an operation targeting a prior-deported felon. He was arrested by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and was transferred to the Northwest Detention Center to await the outcome of removal proceedings before an immigration judge.
This case illustrates the work ICE fugitive operations teams perform every day across the country to remove public safety threats from our communities when they encounter them. ICE officers, along with their law enforcement partners, have and will continue to enforce our nation’s laws to protect public safety, national security, and to preserve the integrity of our immigration system.”

Michelle Obama: Hope is dead

Obviously the woman hasn’t looked at the stock market lately.
Michelle in Panama City Beach July 12 2010
Via NY Post: Her husband campaigned on a promise to restore “hope,” but now that he’s turning over the White House to Donald Trump that’s evaporated, according to Michelle Obama.
“We feel the difference now. See, now, we are feeling what not having hope feels like,” the first lady told Oprah Winfrey in an interview airing Monday.
“Hope is necessary. It’s a necessary concept and Barack didn’t just talk about hope because he thought it was just a nice slogan to get votes. He and I and so many believe that. What else do you have if you don’t have hope.”
A snippet of the interview was shown Friday on “CBS This Morning.”
Michelle Obama — who campaigned for Hillary Clinton while disparaging Trump — took an indirect swipe at the president-elect by claiming her husband is a “grown-up” who inspires confidence.
“I feel like Barack has been that for the nation in ways that people will come to appreciate. Having a grown-up in the White House who can say to you in times of crisis and turmoil, ‘Hey, it’s going to be OK. Let’s remember the good things that we have,” she told Oprah.
Trump will take over after his inauguration on Jan. 20.

Another Hollyweird Movie to Avoid: "Snatched" starring Amy Schumer and other anti-Trumpers

The premise of this movie (scheduled for release next summer): “When her boyfriend dumps Emily, a spontaneous woman in her 30s, she persuades her ultra-cautious mom to accompany her on a vacation to Ecuador. At Emily’s insistence, the pair seek out adventure, but suddenly find themselves kidnapped. When these two very different women are trapped on this wild journey, their bond as mother and daughter is tested and strengthened while they attempt to navigate the jungle and escape.”

Amy Schumer still making movies in America...

Amy Schumer still making movies in America…

Amy Schumer is a crude Hollyweird proggie who promised to leave the U.S. if Trump was elected (specifically, Spain). Of course, she hasn’t moved yet. Guess the U.S. money she’s making is just too tempting for her to leave. Amy is also anti-Second Amendment. Just the type of womyn whose movie I’d love to support, not.

The movie also stars Goldie Hawn. When Goldie is asked about the election, she gives a typical “Goldie” response – rambling and nonsensical.
Wanda Sykes

Wanda Sykes

The movie also stars Wanda Sykes, a crass homosexual proggie. She was recently booed off stage after her anti-Trump remarks at a charity event. Her response? She gave the crowd the finger as she left the stage. Just the type of womyn whose movie I’d love to support, not.
Chris Meloni

Chris Meloni

The movie also stars Christopher Meloni who despises Trump. Check out his Twitter timeline, which indicates he has the disorder known as TARD. Meloni also said this: “The actor says the “right side” has shown an “endless, obstructionist attitude. It feels that’s been their strategy.” Just the type of proggie whose movie I’d love to support, not.
Óscar Jaenada

Óscar Jaenada

The movie also stars Spanish actor Óscar Jaenada who appears to be anti-Trump as well. On December 4th he retweeted this: “El 70 por ciento de los datos de Trump eran falsos, ganó las elecciones #OjetivoMentiras.” This translates to: “70 percent of Trump’s data was fake, he won the election #GoalLies.” Just the type of Spanish actor whose movie I’d love to support, not.

The movie also stars Randall Park, an American born to Korean parents, who believes Trump is racist. When asked by HuffPo why Trump was surging (back in September 2015), Randall offered this highly insightful analysis: “It’s all so insane.” Just the type of intellectual actor whose movie I’d love to support, not.
Here’s the promo for the movie. Warning: Some language is NSFW.

Keep it up Hollyweird with the actors who spread their anti-Trump hysterics. You’ll still have the LIVs who will support your antics. Conservatives? Not so much.

Hollyweird Libtard Lisa Edelstein Slammed For Alan Thicke Tweet: Death Was To Avoid Donald Trump

Proggies are so edgy…

The classy Lisa Edelstein

The classy Lisa Edelstein

From MSN.com: Lisa Edelstein is getting slammed for joking that Alan Thicke died just to avoid Donald Trump’s presidency.
As Gossip Cop reported, Thicke unexpectedly died at age 69 on Tuesday, after suffering a heart attack. Tributes poured in on Twitter as dozens of celebrities honored and mourned the beloved “Growing Pains” patriarch. Edelstein, however, saw fit to make a joke. Here’s her “joke” tweet:
Since then, the “Girlfriends’ Guide To Divorce” star has been under fire for politicizing and seemingly minimizing the actor’s death. The backlash includes more than a thousand tweets calling Edelstein out for her message.

  • One user, @dfiregirl4 wrote, back, “1) he was Canadian. 2) A family lost a husband and a father. This is NOT the time for politics.” ‏
  • @SpaceRacer423 replied, “the man died in front of his 17yr old son a week before Christmas, but lol Trump right?” ‏
  • @neontaster responded, “First off, it’s Trumpocalypse, not whatever the hell you wrote. Second, you’re a horrible person.”
  • @barrieblonde asked, “Is that suppose to be clever? Geez, give your head a shake; TOTALLY INAPPROPRIATE AND CALLOUS! #AlanThicke #CanadianIcon.”
  • @KellyLHedges told the star, “Used to adore you. I have friends on both sides, but no friends who talk sh*t on the dead.”
  • “Why would you do this?” wondered @lifebythecreek, adding, “A simple RIP would suffice. What a sad soul you are.”
  • @sbprice said, “heinous. death of an icon just a way to diss @realDonaldTrump?”
  • @p25735 stated, “@LisaEdelstein Shame on you for trivializing Mr. Thicke’s passing by using it to promote your political agenda.”
  • @kaungko arguved, “No matter which political party one belongs to, it’s never right to joke on someone’s death & loss. Legal? Yes. Right? [100 percent] not.”
  • And, referencing what is probably Edelstein’s best-known TV show, ‏@travelbond tweeted, “@LisaEdelstein Quick! Call HOUSE.. Somebody needs a sensitivity transplant!”

Edelstein has not responded to any of the comments, nor has she addressed her controversial remark.

More Libtard Butthurt: Chelsea Handler slams white female Trump voters in essay

Why isn’t this womyn living in Spain, as she promised to do if Trump was elected?

Chelsea Handler xxx

Chelsea Handler: Women should support this woman…or something.

From Fox News:  Chelsea Handler is facing heat for an essay she penned this week calling for women to come together and support each other.
However, in the same essay published by Thrive Global, Handler singles out white female voters who supported Donald Trump — a move that many are calling hypocritical.
Handler said there is a problem with “women supporting women” in the United States. “One of the saddest things about November 8,” she added, “were the women of America who somehow managed to vote for Donald Trump, specifically the 53 percent of all white female voters who chose Mr. Trump.”
Handler noted that America “is a free country, and we are free to differ on public policy” but “what kind of a woman votes for a white, entitled rich guy who has spent his entire life working the system for excess personal profit while insatiably groping strange women for personal pleasure.
The most qualified womyn...

The most qualified womyn…

She said it was especially frustrating because Hillary Clinton is “arguably the mostly qualified Presidential candidate in modern American history ” and would have “lift[ed] America up out of its 240-year ‘winning streak’ of male dominance and patriarchy.”
She also said that “94 percent of black women voted for Hillary Clinton, because unlike white women, black women don’t take their rights, liberties, or justice for granted.”
This womyn takes my ...

Chelsea gonna support this woman’s right that I don’t take for granted? Don’t hold your breath…

NYC offering workers therapy to cope with Trump-induced stress

Via NY Post: New York City is offering its municipal workforce counseling services and other support for dealing with election-year stress brought on by Donald Trump’s election.
In a Dec. 1 email, the de Blasio administration pointed to mental health resources that are available to workers who are “feeling distressed or vulnerable following the election results.”
“We have seen the concerns expressed on social media and we are monitoring them closely,” the email reads.
The half-dozen agencies involved include the Mayor’s Office of Immigrant Affairs, the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene and the Department of Education, as well as Deputy Mayor for Strategic Policies Richard Buery, who is overseeing the city’s mental health initiative known as Thrive NYC.
Since the election, Mayor de Blasio has been reassuring New Yorkers that his administration will work to protect them from potentially harmful polices that have been proposed by Trump over the past year — particularly on immigration.
Asked about the email, City Hall press secretary Eric Phillips said it was a show of care for employees’ well-being.
“The post-election period has been anxiety-producing for many people, understandably,” he said. “When you throw the holidays into that, it can be a very difficult time for those coping with mental health challenges.”
Nearly 80 percent of city votes cast in the 2016 presidential election went to former Secretary of State and former New York Senator Hillary Clinton. Trump got less than 20 percent of the votes and lost to Clinton in every borough except Staten Island.

Tolerant NYC is making the Trump kids’ lives ‘horrible’

I have no doubt that the kids will be just fine.
liberal tolerance
Via NY Post: Protesters in the city may chant, “Love trumps hate,” but that’s not stopping some from piling on Donald Trump’s family.
“You can’t be a Trump supporter in the city,” an old Buckley School classmate of Donald Jr. admitted to The Post. “I wanted to throw a fund-raiser for [the elder Trump last spring], and my fiancée was like, ‘Don’t you dare! You’ll never get one ounce of business again in this town,’ ” said the classmate, who has his own hedge fund.
Ever since the president-elect’s win in November, his family’s life in the Big Apple has been turned upside down. With 78.5 percent of city voters casting their ballot for Hillary Clinton, liberal New Yorkers are still waging an anti-Trump campaign — often aimed at his three oldest children, Donald Jr., 38, Ivanka, 35, and Eric, 32, all born and raised in Manhattan.
So what’s it like when your hometown — supposedly the most tolerant city in the nation — turns intolerant toward you?
Donald Jr.’s wife, Vanessa Haydon, who grew up in an Upper East Side townhouse and lives at Sutton Place with five children ages 2 to 9, isn’t handling her newfound pariah status well, a close family friend says. “It’s not wonderful when you’re being trolled on Twitter, with people saying really bad things and you have five kids. It’s horrible,” the friend said.

Eric and Lara Trump

Eric and Lara Trump

In mid-November, eight teenagers heckled a visibly irritated Eric Trump and his wife, Lara Yunaska, outside the Quality Italian restaurant on 57th Street, yelling, “Eric, f- -k your father!” and, “Love trumps hate!
And on a recent Monday evening, some 150 protesters descended upon the Puck Building in Nolita to protest Ivanka Trump. Her husband, Jared Kushner, owns the building.
Artists had crafted bearing messages such as “Dear Ivanka: your daddy is scary as hell,” and chanted, “Tell Daddy no,” as they circled the posh building. (Ivanka Trump and Kushner don’t live at the Puck, but rather on the Upper East Side.)
Among those marching were painters Nate Lowman, whose work is reportedly in Ivanka’s personal art collection, and Marilyn Minter, whom Ivanka follows on Instagram. Also in attendance was socialite filmmaker Arden Wohl, a friend of Ivanka’s.
“This is a plea to Ivanka to talk some sense because she’s in this transition committee for her father, and hopefully she can be his voice of reason,” Wohl told New York magazine. “She’s the smartest of the children.”
But all three are resilient, sources told The Post. One New York media executive who has worked with Ivanka said the three grown children “have the thickest skin I’ve ever seen.”
“During the campaign, I went to Ivanka’s office to review a Web site, and the top story on the site was a really negative piece about her father accompanied by an unflattering photograph [of him],” he said. “She just laughed and moved the conversation forward.”
No doubt, the president-elect’s children are a bit more unflappable than their late-night-tweeting father.
When Donald Jr.’s Facebook page is inundated with hateful posts, he and brother Eric simply ignore the comments, according to the Buckley classmate. “But usually, 100 friends come and back them up and say, ‘Go f- -k yourself,’ ” the classmate said.
And despite the lack of love in the Big Apple, the close family friend said that unlike Ivanka — who has announced that she and Kushner will move to Washington, DC, with their children, ages 8 months to 5 years — Donald Jr. and wife Haydon won’t be ditching their Manhattan life for the Beltway. “No way,” the friend said. “They’re not going to be chased out of their home.”
Trump campaign manager Kellyanne Conway said The Donald’s three eldest children would keep their New York roots. “They’re living their lives as they always have,” she said. “They’re classic New Yorkers. They love the city, they soak it in — the culture, the cuisine, the friendships.”
Ivana Trump, the first wife of Donald Trump and mother of the three adult children, told The Post in November that while she’s confident her kids can handle the uproar, she worries about Barron, Trump’s son with wife Melania. “Barron is 10 years old. It’s so new for him. I think [my kids] are around cameras all their lives and are prepared for it,” she said.  “Protests are protests,” Ivana added. “It is a divided country. People on the other side, they just have to get over it, because America voted and that is that.
But even if New Yorkers don’t love the Trumps, the tourists do.
“Now that the holidays are upon us and the rest of ‘real America’ from ‘flyover country’ is on Fifth Avenue, selfie-seekers, the happy faces, are out in full force at Trump Tower,” Conway said. “They are literally ebullient.”

More Libtard Butthurt: Gloria Steinem wants a “full-out rebellion” against Trump

gloria steinem
From Cosmpolitan:  At a panel discussion in New York City on Thursday evening, feminist leader and icon Gloria Steinem, 82, made it clear that she has no intention of slowing down, or giving up her position as a generational leader of the feminist movement – especially not under a Donald Trump presidency. “I’m not giving up my torch, thank you very much, I’m hanging onto my torch,” she said in response to question about who the next feminist leaders are. “But I am using it to light other people’s torches, and noticing that they’ve lit their own — they don’t need me at all.”
Throughout the presidential election, Steinem — a feminist activist and founder of Ms. Magazine — was a vocal supporter of Hillary Clinton and vocal opponent of Donald Trump. Born in 1934, Steinem has lived through 13 different presidents, and 20 presidential elections. But on Thursday evening, she told Cosmopolitan.com that never before has she seen a president like Trump.
“We’ll have to be in full-out rebellion. This guy is a sexual predator, he is a racist, he and his father were both convicted of massive race discrimination in their housing projects,” Steinem said. “I’ve never, in my lifetime, seen a president who was so … how shall I say this? Such an egotist, such an extremist, and so unrepresentative of what this country is supposed to be about.
But rather than be discouraged by the trajectory of the next four years, Steinem is hopeful of what can be accomplished by feminists, despite the odds seemingly stacked against them. She thinks the energy that exploded in the days and weeks following Trump’s victory can last and that, if anything good can come out of the election results, it’s that people are “taking power unto themselves” to fight back in ways like never before.
“We have elected, for the first time, a completely impossible president,” Steinem said.”What I see in the streets, and online, and in all kinds of ways is that people are taking power unto themselves, and understanding that if we stop looking up and feeling alone, we start looking at each other — we have a lot of strength.”
Asked if she was disappointed by women who voted for Trump — based on exit polls, we know that about 41 percent of women voted for him — Steinem said no. She drew attention to the fact that women of color overwhelmingly voted against him, as did young and unmarried women. As for white women, who did vote for Trump by a small majority, Steinem said having conversations with them is key — but also that a white female vote, especially among white married women, is nothing new.
“I think there were a variety of reasons [they voted for Trump],” Steinem said. “One is they’re in economic trouble and they’re just voting for change for the sake of change, one is I have to vote my husband’s interests because I’m dependent on his identity and his income. In that case, we have to talk to each other, and find out the why, and communicate.”
Judge Judy shakes head rolls eyes
But to be clear, Steinem sees no point in empathizing with those Trump voters she recognizes as white supremacists — or, as many prefer to be called, the alt-right. “It’s inappropriate to be empathetic with a racist,” she said. “It’s inappropriate to be empathetic with a sexual predator who enjoys Trump’s predation on women.”
