“Keep NYC Trash Free” images of Trump supporters show up on NYC garbage cans

Edgy! Now do supporters of Islam.

I don’t wear a MAGA cap (mine is NRA) but I do occasionally carry a Chick-fil-A cup…

From Fox News: Images of Trump supporters and Boston sports fans have turned up on garbage can and train station posters in New York City under the slogan “Keep NYC Trash Free.”

The artwork was reportedly done by street artist Winston Tseng and began showing up on trash cans where a public service announcement would normally be.

One shows a man wearing a “Make America Great Again” hat with a Confederate flag tattoo on his arm and a Chick-fil-A cup in his hand.

Another drawing shows a woman with the same red “MAGA” hat holding a Bible.

Others took aim at Boston sports fans, showing a screaming man in a Tom Brady jersey and a Boston Red Sox hat holding a Sam Adams beer.

The posters were not authorized by New York City officials, initially appearing on trash cans on Manhattan’s Lower East Side.

Some have been removed, but others remain, according to PIX 11. Tseng denied that he was behind the posters in a statement to the station.

'Racially insensitive' Ortiz bobblehead pulled before baseball game

I have no idea why this bobblehead is deemed “racially insensitive” – I just don’t see it. It’s probably because of my white privilege.

Via AP: The Boston Red Sox canceled a David Ortiz bobblehead promotion Tuesday night when the figurine turned out to be ”racially insensitive,” said team president Sam Kennedy.
The bobblehead depicts Ortiz addressing fans at Fenway Park following the Boston Marathon bombings, but Kennedy said it didn’t much resemble the retiring slugger and was not fit for distribution.
Kennedy saw the final version of the bobblehead for the first time Tuesday afternoon after they were delivered.

”My two immediate reactions were first, it was a really inaccurate portrayal of what he looks like,” Kennedy told The Associated Press. ”My personal reaction was it was offensive and, to me, kind of appeared racially insensitive. I just had a bad reaction.”
He then held a meeting with several team officials.
”My gut feeling was if I have that negative reaction then our fans may as well,” he said. ”We just made the decision to scrap the whole thing. We apologize to everyone tonight and will make it up to fans.”
The giveaway was supposed to be for the first 15,000 fans at Tuesday’s game against the Yankees. To make up for the inconvenience, any fan holding a ticket to the game will be able to get a new Ortiz bobblehead once they are reproduced.
The rejected bobblehead was made by BDA, Inc., and the company will also produce the replacements.
”We value our decades-long relationship with the Red Sox organization and its decision to postpone Tuesday’s David Ortiz bobblehead giveaway,” BDA said in a statement. ”We’re currently working closely with the Red Sox to ensure the team and its fans receive a quality product.”
The Red Sox sent out a statement and apology via their website and social media several hours before a 5-3 win over the Yankees. ”We’re going to redo them and get them right and apologize for the disappointment for anyone tonight,” Kennedy said.

Obama got booed in Boston

CBSW Boston reports that being booed was probably the last thing Barack Obama expected from the crowd at a Symphony Hall fundraiser last night (June 25), but boos he got.
That’s because the POS had the arrogant insensitivity to “thank” Boston for Kevin Youkilis, who was just traded to the Chicago White Sox, which is Obama’s favorite team.
The POS said, laughing, “I’m just saying, he’s going to have to change the color of his socks.”
Youkilis was traded from the Red Sox, to Obama’s favorite team just a day ago, on Sunday, for infielder Brent Lillibridge and pitcher Zach Stewart. Youkilis went 1-for-4 with a single in his White Sox debut Monday night, but Chicago lost to the Twins, 4-1.

“I love me! I love me! I love only me!”

But then the POS was being totally in character. One of the defining attributes of the Narcissistic Personality Disorder is a lack of empathy — putting oneself in another’s shoes and feeling what he/she feels. Our human ability to empathize with others is the basis of morality: Do to others as you would have others do unto you. A lack of empathy also characterizes other personality disorders, including the Anti-Social Personality Disorder, more commonly known as sociopathy and psychopathy.
Tickets for the POS’s fundraiser at Symphony Hall cost between $250 and $2,500.
Those fools and the POS deserve each other!

Soon to be the most hated sports player

I’m a big Seattle Mariners fan.  This gives me another reason to hate the Boston Red Sux even more…
Boston Herald: Given the circumstances, it was arguably the best start of the season for John Lackey.  But he had no interest in discussing it.
After Jacob Ellsbury’s three-run homer gave the Red Sox a had-to-have-it, 7-4, 14-inning victory in the finale of a doubleheader last night at Yankee Stadium, Lackey snapped at a team official, then lashed out at the media for an off-field incident that occurred before the game.
Let me tell you the truth,” Lackey said after being asked a question about his performance, “Thirty minutes before the game, I got a text message on my cellphone from somebody in the media talking about personal stuff. I shouldn’t even be standing here having to deal with this. I’m sitting here listening to music. I don’t know who got my phone number, but that’s over the line.”  Asked if the text message was a distraction during the game, Lackey said, “This is unbelievable I’ve got to do this.”
It’s believed that the text message was sent from a gossip Web site. On Monday morning, TMZ posted a story yesterday about Lackey filing for divorce from his wife. The report said that Lackey filed on Aug. 30 in Texas. The couple was married in 2008.
During spring training, Lackey disclosed his wife, Krista, had been diagnosed with breast cancer, but he has declined to discuss her condition. After a start in May, he said, “Everything in my life sucks right now,” but wouldn’t elaborate.
Reports indicate Krista had a double mastectomy and recently had chemotherapy treatment in June.
“Unbelievable he’s got to do this”?  Um, what about what your wife is dealing with?
Or maybe I’m being too judgemental.  Maybe their wedding vows didn’t include the words, “in sickness and in health”.
