American flag mural at NY pizza shop vandalized because it’s a symbol of “hate” and “oppression”

Photos from GoFundMe page

You want to see REAL oppression? Go live in the country under this flag.

Every day the left find another way to show their disdain for America.

From Fox News: An American flag mural in a small town in New York was vandalized after several protesters started calling for a boycott, claiming it is a symbol of hate and oppression.

The town of New Paltz rallied together a few weeks ago to help raise funds and show support for the patriotic painting proposed by La Bella Pizza Bistro owner Maria Lisante to cover a rundown brick wall on the side of her building, which is across the street from an elementary school. Just days before the mural was completed, it was defaced.

Luitenant Robert Lucchesi told Fox News that police are still actively investigating the case after the graffiti allegedly appeared Monday night.

Joey Garcia, a New York state corrections officer and Army National Guard veteran who organized the rally to support the flag, told Fox News he believes the perpetrator is not only disrespecting the flag but the military and country as well.

“I’m saddened and disappointed,” said Garcia. “It’s one thing to disagree with something but it shouldn’t mean that…you must destroy it. I feel bad for the artist who has put so much time and effort into this painting.”

Although there has been pushback, Garcia said La Bella’s has received a lot of support from across the nation since the pro-flag walk.

One is Lisa McGovern, who fell victim to a yard sign-stealing SUNY professor.

“I felt like it was a little over-the-top that people were saying it is offensive,” McGovern said. “It’s a symbol of our country. It’s non-political and for people in a small town trying to get a small business shut down is a little outrageous. People should be supporting small business, not trying to get them shut down.”

The owner’s GoFundMe page for the mural was originally set at $8,000 but was increased to $12,000 “due to the overwhelming support and patriotism of our community and country” to “help fun paint, materials, future maintenance and display lighting to increase visibility,” Lisante wrote. As of Wednesday afternoon, they have raised more than $7,500.

This is Hollyweird: New Neil Armstrong movie omits planting of US flag

Attempting to re-write history.

Chuck Yeager does not agree with this progressive take on Armstrong.

From Yahoo: The new Neil Armstrong biopic has not yet debuted in American theaters, but it’s already causing controversy.

First Man,” starring Ryan Gosling, has been called out by critics who noticed during a screening at the Venice Film Festival Wednesday that the film fails to portray the iconic moment when Armstrong and fellow astronaut Buzz Aldrin planted the American flag on the moon.

The flag-raising was meticulously planned by NASA because there’s no wind on the moon and a rod was inserted to create the illusion that the flag was fluttering.

Planting the American flag on the moon was controversial back in 1969, as no nation is permitted to claim territory in outer space. There was talk of a United Nations flag being used instead, but it was ultimately decided to use the stars and stripes to serve as a proud symbol of American achievement.

Gosling was later asked why the flag wasn’t shown in the movie during a press conference that followed the screening.

“This was widely regarded in the end as a human achievement and that’s how we chose to view it,” he said. “I don’t think that Neil viewed himself as an American hero. From my interviews with his family and people that knew him, it was quite the opposite. And we wanted the film to reflect Neil.”

Gosling added that he believed Armstrong was extremely modest, considering his achievement.

“I also think Neil was extremely humble, as were many of these astronauts, and time and time again he deferred the focus from himself to the 400,000 people who made the mission possible,” he said.

According to Business Insider, Gosling also said: “The magic moment the American flag was posted was intentionally omitted from the big screen because Armstrong’s achievement “transcended countries and borders.”

Another Hollyweird movie I won’t be seeing.

More libtard butt hurt: Singer Lana Del Rey won't use American flag imagery anymore

lana del rey

Lana Del Rey: “Uncomfortable” womyn

Apparently you can only show your American pride when you approve of the current president. That’s what Trump Derangement Syndrome does to delicate snowflakes.
From Harper’s Bazaar: Lana Del Rey is ditching her signature Americana aesthetic now that Donald Trump is in office. Though she initially built her brand on nostalgic, patriotic motifs—like the star-spangled backdrops, motorcycle rides through the American West, and even a Kennedys tribute we’ve seen in her earlier music videos—she’s taking a break, considering the nation’s current political climate.
Now that Trump is president, she says “it’s certainly uncomfortable” to look at the country with that same romantic lens, Del Rey told Pitchfork in a new interview. Thus, she plans to skip the stars-and-stripes imagery when she goes on tour for her upcoming album, Lust for Life.
“I definitely changed my visuals on my tour videos,” Del Rey explained. “I’m not going to have the American flag waving while I’m singing ‘Born to Die.’ It’s not going to happen. I’d rather have static. It’s a transitional period, and I’m super aware of that. I think it would be inappropriate to be in France with an American flag. It would feel weird to me now—it didn’t feel weird in 2013.”
We knew Del Rey’s new record was going to be politically influenced from the moment she first announced it. (Even before she revealed new music, she was already joining witches around the world in casting spells on Trump.)
In a trailer for her upcoming album, she compared the political climate to “dark times” and a “tumultuous period.” The track list offered more clues, with songs titles like “God Bless America – And all the Beautiful Women in It” and “When the World Was at War We Kept Dancing.” The former is a tribute to women who “don’t feel safe” in Trump’s America, she told Pitchfork, and the latter calls out the “boisterous rhetoric” perpetuated by the administration.

Lil Wayne, more like Lil Man…

Lil Wayne walks all over the American flag while filming latest music  video

NY Daily News: Political protest or accidental flag faux pas? Filming for Lil Wayne’s “God Bless Amerika” music video in New Orleans is under scrutiny after a clip of his performance shows an oversized American flag drop to the street before Wayne tramples Old Glory as he raps.

It may have been overlooked, if not for the incendiary lyrics in the  song:

“My country ‘tis of thee/ sweet land of kill ‘em all and let ‘em die/ God  bless Amerika/ This so godless Amerika … the stars on the flag are never shining,” the song, off this year’s “I Am Not a Human Being II,” goes.

The one-minute clip shows Weezy, 30, singing in front of the huge red, white  and blue flag before it’s let go onto the Hollygrove, New Orleans, street. The drop reveals a group of people standing behind Wayne as he continues to rap, stepping all over the flag as he dances and moves in his hometown.

“All Americans should treat (the flag) with respect,” said John Raughter, an  American Legion spokesman speaking generally about the flag and who admitted he had yet to see the clip. “It is the American flag that is draped across the coffins of our fallen heroes when they come back from war. In fact, any veteran  can have a flag on their coffin. As such, it’s entitled to the highest  respect.”

Desecration of the American flag is protected by the First Amendment so there’s no chance Wayne would face charges for stepping on the Stars and Stripes.

But posted this weekend, just days after the June 14 Flag Day holiday, the video has since gone viral and prompted mostly outrage.

Walking on the flag is “disrespectful and shouldn’t be done,” said Veteran of  Foreign Wars spokesperson Randi Law, who saw the clip for the first time Monday.  The VFW, which is committed to flag advocacy, does not condone any desecration  of the flag, she said. But, she said the clip appears to show the stomp was not done for the cameras. If the official video shows Wayne standing on Old Glory, the VFW may push for an apology, she said.

“You’re clearly not supposed to walk on the American flag and he’s doing that in front of a group of people,” Law said. “I would think the respect of the flag needs to be upheld and clearly it’s not.”

His walking on the flag, combined with the sampling of the lyrics, tells me all I care to know about this “man”. And to think millions will be downloading this song.

Remember the Constitution!

The Philadelphia Convention 1787

Today, September 17, is America’s Constitution Day.
224 years ago, on September 17, 1787, our Founding Fathers at the Philadelphia Constitutional Convention signed the Constitution, making it the highest law of the new American Republic and the foundation document of our political system and institutions.
George Washington presided over the Convention. James Madison wrote the document that formed the model for the Constitution. Thomas Jefferson, who wrote the Declaration of Independence, was serving as ambassador to France at the time of the Convention but kept abreast of the proceedings in Philadelphia via correspondence with Madison. John Adams was Ambassador to Great Britain at the time and wrote “Defense of the Constitution of the Government of the United States of America.” Patrick Henry was initially opposed to the very idea of the Constitution because he wanted to keep the Articles of Confederation, the predecessor to the Constitution. However, when an agreement was made to add a Bill of Rights to the Constitution, Henry fought hard for its ratification.
It is the Constitution that ensures we are a rule of law.
It is the Constitution that spells out and ensures that the governed have inalienable rights and liberties which no government can abrogate.
It is the Constitution that ensures we are not reduced to the “nasty, brutish, and short” lives of the Hobbesian state of nature.
The Left are trying to co-opt and subvert the Constitution by making this their “Day of Rage” with protests on Wall Street and at least five major cities across the United States, so as to bring down capitalism and with it government as well.
Don’t let them.
Fly your flag! — Proudly!

The GOP Went Over to the Dark Side?

Take a look at this weird video:

H/t Vigilant Citizen.

I went to the Republican National Committee website and, indeed, the GOP elephant logo has upside-down stars, otherwise called pentagrams!

See for yourself by going HERE.

The stars on the America flag are right side-up, so why does the Republican Party have upside-down stars in its logo?

Oh, by the way, Rupert Cornwall reports for the UK’s The Independent, June 30, 2011, that a study by Brown University’s Watson Institute for International Studies found that the cost of America’s War On Terror, begun by George W. Bush and continued by Obama, will surpass the cost of World War Two.

The $1.3 trillion officially appropriated on Capitol Hill is the tip of a spending iceberg. If other Pentagon outlays, interest payments on money borrowed to finance the wars, and the $400bn estimated to have been spent on the domestic “war on terror”, the total cost is already somewhere between $2.3 and $2.7 trillion. Add in future military spending and above all the cost of looking after veterans, disabled and otherwise and the total bill will be somewhere between $3.7 trillion and $4.4 trillion.

A 2008 study co-authored by the Harvard economist Linda Bilmes and Joseph Stiglitz, a former Nobel economics laureate, similarly concluded that the War On Terror would end up costing over $3 trillion. The difference is that America’s financial position has worsened considerably in the meantime, with a brutal recession and a federal budget deficit running at some $1.5 trillion annually, while healthcare and social security spending is set to soar as the population ages and the baby boomer generation enters retirement.

Worse still, unlike most of America’s previous conflicts, Iraq and Afghanistan have been financed almost entirely by borrowed money that sooner or later must be repaid. The total cost to America of its wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, plus the related military operations in Pakistan, is set to exceed $4 trillion – more than three times the sum so far authorised by Congress in the decade since the 9/11 attacks.

American Legionnaires Ride With Flag-boy to School

Remember Cody Alicea, the 13-year-old Californian boy who was ordered by his school principal to remove the flag from his bike because of fears the Flag of the United States of America would “incite racial incidents”?
Well, the news of his predicament went viral and patriots across America were incensed by Denair Middle School principal Aaron Delworth’s unconstitutional and pusillanimous command to Cody. So the American Legion came to the rescue.
As reported by Jim Hoft of RightNetwork, last Monday morning (November 15, 2010), hundreds of American Legion Riders and fellow patriots escorted Cody to his school. They all had American flags on their bikes.
Megan Martens of The Turlock Journal reports that “The sound of “God Bless America” echoed through the streets of Denair as hundreds of people walked eighth grader Cody Alicea to school while bringing a tidal wave of red, white and blue to the small Central Valley community.”
The American Legion is America’s largest veterans service organization, committed to mentoring and sponsorship of youth programs, advocating patriotism and honor, promoting a strong national security, and mutual assistance for servicemembers and veterans.

Cody led the parade!

A veteran brings Cody to tears when he gives him his Purple Heart hat during a rally outside Cody’s school.

The evening before the Legionnaire ride and parade, Cody’s school district made a half-hearted (Eowyn’s note to Peter McBride: this means “lukewarm”!) concession to Cody. As recounted by Megan Martens:

The school district stands behind the decision the campus supervisor made to keep Alicea’s safety as their number one priority, but has allowed Alicea to fly his flag again.
“First and foremost, I am sorry to this town that this has happened,” said Denair Unified School District Superintendent Ed Parraz at the emergency DUSD Board of Trustees meeting held on Sunday, which was called to discuss a potential lawsuit from a civil rights group. “My apology not only goes to Denair, but this county, this state and the whole union.”
Even with the apology some feel that the school district should have handled the situation differently. “We might lose the bigger issue here,” said Denair resident Keith Landmeier at the Sunday DUSD meeting. “Cody wasn’t our problem and isn’t the bigger issue. As an American, I don’t want to be afraid or my school district to be afraid of hiding my American flag on American soil.”
Some feel the district should have dealt with the students who were allegedly making the threats instead of asking Alicea to remove his flag for his safety. “The issue at hand is the bullies threatening him because he wants to fly an American flag in America,” said Nancy Hinton, Modesto resident who also spoke at the Sunday meeting. “Why weren’t the bullies threatening him brought in the office and brought to justice?”
