Man claims he was booted off of flight because of anti-Semitism; airline says it was because of bad body odor

The Adler family kicked off a flight.

This man has a lot to complain about: the religion victim card, worried about his children and in need of clean clothes. He also must not fly very much if he believes that the airline industry has a responsibility “to go above and beyond” in their service.

From SF Gate: A Michigan couple and their 19-month-old daughter were removed from an American Airlines flight after the airline told them that other passengers and crew members had complained about their body odor.

Yossi Adler said he and his wife, Jennie, were heading home from a vacation in Miami on Wednesday night when they were told there was an emergency and they needed to exit the plane.

The couple, both 37, had eight other children at home in Southfield, Michigan, so Adler said that he and his wife were worried that there may have been an incident involving one of them. (Wouldn’t a babysitter or one of the kids called them if there was an incident at home?)

Later, he said, when he and his wife stepped off the plane and the airline told them that they had been removed because of a stench, they were “humiliated,” “frustrated” and left wondering about the real reason. “Obviously, there was a reason,” Adler, who is Jewish, said in a phone interview Friday with The Washington Post. “But I think it was an anti-Semitic reason.”

“Even if it wasn’t,” he added, “they were anti-Semitic afterward.”

American Airlines said in a statement that the Adlers were asked to deplane after “multiple passengers, along with our crew members, complained about Mr. Adler’s body odor. Our Miami airport team members were concerned about the comfort of our other passengers due to the odor. Our team members took care of the family and provided hotel accommodations and meals, and rebooked them on a flight to Detroit Thursday morning.”

The airline said its employees did not know of Adler’s religion.

Adler said the vouchers that American Airlines gave him for food and lodging did not work, so he had to pay out of pocket. The airline said that should not have been the case but that it will look into the matter and ensure any such expenses are reimbursed.

In any case, Adler said, had the airline been that concerned about his body odor, it should have given him clean clothes to wear. Instead, he said, he had to wear the same clothes on the flight the next morning because he did not have his belongings.

Video showed the Adlers approach a ticket counter Wednesday evening, complaining that the airline had removed them from the plane and then sent their belongings ahead to Detroit. “I’m trying to stay calm here,” Yossi Adler told an employee. “But there’s two Jewish people on the plane, and now they’re kicking us off because of odor. Seriously? Nobody here thinks I have odor. I need to get on a plane tonight. I have eight children at home.”

At one point, after Adler asked airline workers for an explanation for the removal, one of them asked him, “You told me for religious reasons you don’t shower?”

“I shower every day!” Adler quickly responded. “I said you kicked me off because of religious reasons.”

But some people who said they were also passengers on the flight said that it was not about religion. A person who spoke to The Washington Post on the condition of anonymity said that he and his girlfriend were also on the plane and that there was indeed a stench.

Another woman who claims to have been on the flight took to Twitter to back up American Airline’s claim. “The smell was so bad I don’t think I could have made it through the 2.5 hr flight,” she said.

Asked about that claim, Adler said in a text message to The Post that “the ‘BO’ is a fairy tale and cover for the reprehensible discrimination exhibited to myself and the insensitive treatment I and my family received by AA staff. My attorneys will prove that the BO claim is absolute nonsense.”

Adler told The Post that he had showered Wednesday morning.

Adler described the experience as a “horrible” ordeal, explaining that airline employees were walking around the airport holding their noses and fanning their faces. He said that had there been a legitimate body odor issue, the employees, who have a responsibly in the service industry “to go above and beyond,” should have helped him.
“Not once in my life has someone said I smell,” he told The Post.

Libtard Lena Dunham to airline travelers: "Watch out for me, because I see and hear all"

Lena Dunham: On the lookout for ya…

I’d love to run into this womyn at an airport, especially if I’m wearing my “deplorable” or Second Amendment t-shirt. Bring it on girl!
From Fox News: Airline employees and travelers beware: Lena Dunham is watching you like a hawk.
On Wednesday afternoon, the actress and “Girls” creator took to Instagram to share a short message from what appeared to be the security gate at an unknown airport. “I’m at the airport. And I think people now know, when I’m at the airport, they have to f—ing watch out for me, because I hear and I see all.”
It’s unclear which “people” Dunham is referring to in the Instagram story. However, Dunham did make headlines during an early August airport incident, in which she accused two American Airlines employees of engaging in “transphobic talk” at John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York.
On August 3, Dunham had been waiting on a delayed flight when she claimed to have overheard the AA flight attendants say “trans kids are a trend,” and that they would “never accept a trans kid and transness is gross.”
She followed up by tweeting her complaints directly to American Airlines, which launched an investigation into the matter. Ultimately, though, a representative for American Airlines told Fox News that they were “unable to substantiate” any of Dunham’s allegations.
At the time, ABC News also reported that Dunham was flying out of JFK’s Terminal 4 when she claimed to have overheard the AA employees, even though American Airlines operates out of Terminal 8. Dunham declined to comment on the matter.
Nevertheless, American Airlines issued a statement following the incident, stressing that “inclusion and diversity is a way of life” at the company. “Every day, our team members work to make American a place where people of all generations, races, ethnicities, genders, sexual orientations, religious affiliations and backgrounds feel welcome and valued,” the airline added.
Concerning her latest Instagram story, Dunham didn’t call out any specific employee over his/her alleged behavior. She did, however, point out that another passenger was bringing his pet monkey on the flight. “There’s also a literal monkey on my flight,” said Dunham after sharing footage of a fellow airline traveler carrying the small primate on his shoulders. “There’s a monkey on my flight.”

Woman kicked off plane for incessant singing

During an American Airlines flight from Los Angeles to JFK, a woman would not stop singing “I Will Always Love You,” the song made famous by the late Whitney Houston.
It got so annoying that the plane made an unscheduled stop in Kansas City to hand her over to the police.

woman won't stop singing IWALYSinging woman being escorted from plane

A rep for the Kansas City International Airport told CNN, “The passenger was detained, not arrested, and then released pending further investigation by the TSA and federal air marshals. I can confirm that she was singing ‘I Will Always Love You’ as she was escorted off the plane.”
Although cameras were forbidden, a passenger surreptitiously took this video of the singing woman being police-escorted from the plane:

It’s not so much that she wouldn’t stop singing.
What drove everyone batty was her terrible singing. LOL

Here's some more "hope and change"…

Microsoft, American Air Brace for Reported Layoffs

ABC News:  Layoffs are reportedly coming fast to two large U.S. companies. Microsoft will announce plans to reduce 60 divisions down to seven, with significant layoffs, KOMO News reports, while American Airlines may jettison thousands of workers in its reorganization.
A Microsoft spokesperson says the company is taking steps to improve its marketing effectiveness which includes a reduction of marketing positions.  It was back in early 2009 Microsoft issued its first ever layoffs, shedding 5,000 jobs due to the economic downturn.  (I heard on the radio today they laid off 200 employees, with the possibility of laying off up to 2,000 workers.)
Meanwhile, American Airlines’ bankrupt parent, AMR Corp. is preparing to announce layoffs. Police have been placed on standby while the company meets with unions this morning, ABC-WFAA’s News 8 reports from AMR’s headquarters in Fort Worth, Texas. AMR filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection on Nov. 29.
Company executives were scheduled to meet with employees to detail concessions that they want from unions under a reorganization plan, the AP reported. Company executives were scheduled to meet with employees to detail concessions that they want from unions under a reorganization plan, the AP reported.
American Airlines has 87,000 employees worldwide and some reports indicate they plan to layoff 13,000 employees.
Just two days ago Michelle Obama cited “remarkable progress” on the economy during a speech.  “In the last three years, we’ve worked hard to get out of this mess and we’ve made some remarkable progress,” the first lady told a group of about 135 supporters at a private campaign event for her husband.  “We know there are people still suffering and there is a long road left to travel,” she continued, citing unfinished work as another reason to reelect Obama.
Unfinished work?  I shudder to think what more damage this president can possibly do to our country.
