Invoking the name of Jesus Christ repels demons/alien abduction

According to a 1992 Roper Poll of a representative sample of 6,000 U.S. adults,  with a sampling error of plus (+) or minus (-) 1.4%:

  • 2% of the adult population in the United States (one out of 50 Americans, i.e., 5.16 million of total U.S. population of nearly 258 million in 1992had experienced being abducted by aliens.
  • 18% said they had awakened paralyzed, with a sense of a strange “presence” in the room.

The most interesting facet of the alien abduction phenomenon are accounts of abductees who succeeded in repelling the “alien” or demon by invoking the name of Jesus Christ. CE4 Research Group has a website with first person testimonies of those encounters. Below is a sample that I culled from a fifth of the testimonies:

Carel Luck:

“In 1973 my husband Coleman and I and our two baby boys lived in Virginia. Coleman was working for Christianity Today as the advertising manager and I was a stay-at-home mom doing some freelance artwork. One night I awoke with a start. My eyes flew open like a close-up in a horror movie when the dead person comes back to life. I was totally awake with the sense that something was very wrong. That sense moved very quickly to terror. I was paralyzed, unable to move anything except my eyes. To my left, over my husband’s sleeping body, I could see three figures gliding into the room…. I tried to scream at Coleman to wake up but I couldn’t. My vocal cords were paralyzed. Then I began to pray. I tried to call out, ‘JESUS.’ Again nothing would come out of my mouth other than grunts. Once more I tried to say ‘JESUS.’ More grunts. Finally a garbled ‘Jesus’ came out. At the name of Jesus the beings dissipated into the air into little triangles just like a visual effect….

Then over twenty years later Coleman was writing a pilot script for a television series that was supposed to be about all sorts of strange phenomena. He gave me a book on alien abduction and asked me to read it and see if there might be any story ideas in it that he could use. As I read the book it struck me how similar these people’s experiences were to mine. Then I came across a drawing of one person’s alien abductor. It was eerie. He had drawn the same beings that had come into my room.”

Lindsey:

“It began five years ago with strange things happening in my house. I had…been involved with Tarot on a high level and ALWAYS could predict events for people…. I didn’t believe in anything really. Flashlights would fall off the table, my dog would growl at nothing, I had bad dreams. Things were scary. Then one night it all came down on me. I ‘awoke’ in bed without being able to move at all, not even an eyebrow. Some ‘thing’ was in my room with me…. Then it began to come toward me…then the thing jumped at my chest, but not before I screamed in my mind, ‘Jesus help me, God help me!’ And the ‘thing’ was thrown back in utterly agonizing pain and the sound it made was as close to hell as any human ears could ever hear…”

Mark:

“I am the adult Sunday school teacher at Christian Lighthouse Church in Mount Clemons Michigan and I recently taught on ‘spiritual warfare’ on Sunday morning January 24th, 2004. I cited many scriptures on the power of Jesus’ name on controlling and defeating demonic activity…. After my lesson, a newer member of our congregation came up to me and related that she had awoke one night to find herself paralyzed and even unable to talk. She felt something applying pressure to her upper torso as if some invisible ‘thing or person’ was sitting on her chest. She called out to Jesus in her mind and immediately found herself free. She then began to pray out loud in Jesus name. This just seems to me to be further confirmation that this is a wide spread problem and that only true Christian believers have the power, through Jesus name, to combat these attacks.”

Nicole:

“I am thinking it was May or June I started experiencing ‘seeing things move out of the corner of my eyes’ again one night. And I realized I might soon have to deal with another abduction experience, even though I knew what it was… I knew it was evil spirits… so I got on the AR and then your CE4 website right then and read the guide to self-deliverance on there, and verbally rebuked outloud in the name and authority of Jesus Christ. Just what is written in the guide to self-deliverance, ‘The Lord Jesus Christ Rebuke You, The Lord Adonai Rebuke You! …’ And I stopped seeing things move out of the corner of my eyes. I haven’t had an abduction experience since, that was May/June of 2007.”

Kelly:

“I read in Genesis that there really were beings called the Nephilim, and what they really are. And then one night I saw an alien, (and it seemed as if I knew him), at the side of my bed and I said, ‘I know what you are! Go away! Jesus is my Lord!’ And it got angry and it was as if it was being suctioned out of my room right through the wall. I never saw it again.

Nick:

“What sounded like thousands of voices that would come to me almost every night. At that time I was probably about 10, and figured I must be crazy. My parents told me it was my imagination. These experiences happened a long time ago. I am now 21 and a devout Christian and have had no experiences since. I don’t really remember when I first started hearing the voices and when they finally left me. I remember I used to call for Jesus to help me. The voices would slowly fade whenever I did. I now recognize this as most likely a demonic attack.”

Joel:

“I am from the Island nation of Trinidad and Tobago and am a preacher’s kid. So I’ve grown up in the church and seen a fare share of demonic attacks and the power of God at work against the forces of darkness…. One night while in bed, I had a major break though. I finally realized who I was in Christ and that no evil spirit should ever be bothering me like this…. That night I had another visit and this time I was able to muster up enough strength to move my lips and say ‘by the blood of Jesus I rebuke you’ and instantly they left me and to this day they never returned.

Michael Crane:

“…experiences I did have as a young Christian in my early 20’s and over the past 10 years all of the signs and symptoms were there. The fear, the paralyzing feeling, the feeling of a presence in the room, it was all there. I just didn’t think of it as an abduction experience. To me it was a demon attack. As I called out in the name of Jesus and rebuked the spirit, the fear, the paralyzing feeling and the feeling of the presence left. I realized that what I did experience was in fact demon attacks. I learned early about demon attacks and how they would try to pull me away from my JESUS. It is only now that I see and understand that the alien abduction phenomena is one more way that Satan is trying to gain a foothold in this world.”

Krystal:

“When I fell back asleep this time the UFO came again hovering in the same corner. This time I saw a an evil spirit materialize next to my bed even though I could not perceive its shape. Before I was able to speak it tried to physically attack me by probing my neck and I was paralyzed a moment and could not speak. So I lifted my pinky up in the air and spelt out “Jesus help”. Immediately the evil spirit released its grip and I yelled “leave in the name of Jesus and do not come back again”. The evil spirit left and was gone.

These accounts, of course, imply that the alien abductors are not interstellar UFO space travelers, but are demons.

UN, Hotbed of New Age Occult: The Occult Elite

This is Part Three of the series, “UN is a Hotbed of New Age Occult”.

In the name of universal brotherhood and Gaia environmentalism, the United Nations — supported by $6.347 billion of US taxpayer dollars in FY 2009 — is actively promoting a new paganism that is a hodge podge of New Agism, Eastern mysticism, and covert Satanism. To make my case, I’ve assembled evidence presented in separate posts for you to peruse and make up your own mind.

Part One of the series is about the UN’s “spiritual advisor” or guru. Part Two is about the UN’s creepy Meditation Room, the custodian of which is the Lucis Trust, formerly called the Lucifer Trust. Here is Part Three.

People’s Exhibit No. 3: The UN’s Occult Elite

A fish rots from the head down. The United Nations is staffed by New Age occultists, beginning with its top echelon.

Much of the impetus for the New Age transformation of the United Nations can be traced to three individuals: Dag Hammarskjöld and U Thant, UN’s 2nd and 3rd Secretaries-General, respectively; and Dr. Robert Muller, UN’s Under or Assistant Secretary-General for 40 years.

1. Dag Hammarskjöld, UN Secretary-General 1953-61

Swedish-born Hammarskjöld was brought up a Lutheran. As the United Nations’ second Secretary-General, Hammarskjöld is widely admired and lauded for his dedication to his work and for being an exemplar of his oft-stated belief “that no life was more satisfactory than one of selfless service to your country–or humanity.” For that, he was awarded, post humously, the Nobel Peace Prize.

On page 304 of a 1983 book edited by Robert Muller, The Desire to be Human: A Global Reconnaissance of Human Perspectives in an Age of Transformation, it is stated that “Dag Hammarskjöld, the rational Nordic economist, had ended up as a mystic. He too held at the end of his life that spirituality was the ultimate key to our earthly fate in time and space”.

Certainly, there are Christian mystics, among whom are Hildegard of Bingen (1098-1179), Teresa of Avila (1515-1582), and St. John of the Cross (1542-1591). So what kind of mystic and what brand of spirituality was Hammarskjöld’s? Here are a couple of clues:

  • In The Cult of the All-Seeing Eye, R. K. Spenser quotes from a leaflet about the UN’s Meditation Room written under the direction of Hammarskjöld. The leaflet describes the eerie black lodestone altar inside the small triangular-shaped chapel as “dedicated to the God whom man worships under many names and in many forms“. [For more on the creepy Meditation Room, see Part Two of this series.]
  • In his diaries that were posthumously published by Alfred A. Knopf in 1966 as Markings, Hammarskjöld wrote:

“I don’t know Who — or What — put the question, I don’t know when it was put. I don’t even remember answering. But at some moment I did answer YES to Someone — or Something — and from that hour I was certain that existence is meaningful and that, therefore, my life, in self-surrender, had a goal.” -Whitsunday, 1961 [as quoted in Donald Keys, Earth at Omega, pp.60-61.]

Ask yourself this question: What Christian would answer yes to “someone or something” who is not the Triune God?

2. U Thant, UN Secretary-General (1961-1971):

Burmese-born U Thant was the United Nations’ third Secretary-General, chosen for the post when his predecessor, Dag Hammarskjöld, died in a plane crash in 1961. Introducing the new UN Secretary-General to its readers, Time magazine on November 10, 1961, characterized Thant as taking “a hardheaded Western view of economics, while maintaining the Eastern mystic’s preoccupation with spiritual values.”

Wikipedia’s entry on U Thant states that “Thant followed UFO reports with some interest,” so much so that “in 1967, he arranged for American atmospheric physicist James E. McDonald to speak before the UN’s Outer Space Affairs Group regarding UFOs.”

[Sidenote: Another UN Secretary-General, Javier Perez de Cuellar (1982-1992) is reputed to have been abducted by aliens on November 30, 1989. Perez de Cuellar has refused to speak about this experience. However, when asked about it by the Prince of Liechtenstein – a leading world authority on UFOs – Perez de Cuellar did not deny that the abduction had occurred. [Reported by the UK’s  The Independent, January 2, 1994, p.10.]

Thant is also quoted on page 72 of Lewis Spence’s Encyclopedia of Occultism and Parapsychology as praising Hindu mystic Sri Aurobindo as “one of the greatest spiritual leaders of all time.” Aurobindo taught that the “material world should be transformed by making one’s own life divine” and claimed “he had realized the ‘Overmind’ in 1926, and thus was able to bring divine consciousness to the task of human evolution.” In Aurobindo’s “spiritual teachings,” “Overmind is the plane of Gods…the highest consciousness one can achieve without transcending the mental system.” In other words, one of the greatest spiritual leaders of all time according to UN Secretary-General U Thant was a man who claimed to have achieved godhood!

While he was UN Secretary-General, together with a New Age activist named Donald KeysU Thant founded a non-governmental organization within the UN called Planetary Citizens.

The 1990 book, New Age Encyclopedia, edited by J. Gordon Melton, describes Planetary Citizens as being “devoted to preparing people for the coming of the new [planetary] culture” (p.357). Planetary Citizens’ azure-blue website describes itself as a non-profit “Dedicated to the Creation of Heaven on Earth through Honoring, Protecting and Uplifting All of the Citizens of Our Beautiful Planet”. The non-profit’s Board of Directors is comprised of:

l-r: Vajra Matusow, Sharon Callahan, Purusha Ananda

  • Purusha Ananda (not his real name!), who, after a career as an aerospace engineer spent over 18 years “visiting living teachers, studying and practicing the spiritual traditions such as Yoga, Sufism and Buddhism.” Now “a skilled teacher of meditation, Purusha is an accomplished musician and artist, whose work focuses upon the harmonizing and blending of heaven and earth. He lives in Mt. Shasta, California.”
  • Sharon Callahan, an “internationally acclaimed animal communication specialist and founder of Anaflora Flower Essence Therapy for Animals,” who just happens to also live in Mt. Shasta, California!
  • Vajra Matusow (probably not her real name either), founder and director of Diamond Light School of Massage and Healing Arts in Marin County, California.

So who is Donald Keys?

In addition to co-founding Planetary Citizens with then-UN Secretary-General U Thant, Keys was also Thant’s speechwriter! Keys co-authored a book on disarmament and singly authored another book, Earth at Omega: Passage to Planetization, (Boston, Massachusetts: Branden Press, 1982), which he dedicates to six individuals whom he calls “My Mentors.” Among the six are Djwhal Khul and Sri Chinmoy. Hindu mystic Chinmoy was the United Nations’ guru (“spiritual advisor”) for 23 years. Khul is the spiritual entity, the “ascended master” who had dictated to Alice Bailey most of her books. In 1922, Bailey and her husband founded the Lucifer Trust that quickly was re-named the Lucis Trust. The Trust is the custodian of the UN’s creepy Meditation Room.

Keys’ book is a paen to a one-world government. On pp. 43-44, he writes:

“As regards to the United Nations, the Member States are increasingly anxious to secure the benefits of a planetary management system. They see more and more clearly that trying to fly Spaceship Earth from conflicting national outposts is futile. Unfortunately, they are little more ready than they have been in the past to…voluntarily giving up their capacity to impose their will on others…. Too many governments are acting as sour-faced guardians who resist participating in acts expressive of community….”

In other words, in Keys’ little mind, nation-states such as the United States of America are obsolete annoyances that irrationally and obstinately stand in the way of the “community” of “a planetary management system” — Keys’ euphemism for a one-world government.

3. Robert Muller, UN Under Secretary-General:

Belgium-born Robert Muller (1923-2010) was the UN’s Assistant Secretary-General for some 40 years.

He is known as the “Philosopher” of the United Nations because his ideas about world government, world peace and “spirituality” led to the increased representation of religions in the UN, especially of the New Age Movement.

Muller and UN’s guru, Sri Chinmoy, believed that world peace will ultimately depend “on divine and cosmic government” and an “alliance between all major religions and the U.N.” Muller went so far as to call the New Age paganism-infected United Nations “the body of Christ” — but what Muller meant was that enlightened humanity will become the Christ, that is, God.

Chinmoy had proclaimed that the United Nations “will be the last word in human perfection” and “stand as the pinnacle of divine enlightenment.” Indeed, the UN-sponsored Earth Charter, drafted in 1987, stresses that man is his own saviour. By saving “mother earth” we will once again return to the idyllic Garden of Eden.

Robert Muller preached: “Little by little a planetary prayer book is thus being composed by an increasingly united humanity seeking its oneness. Once again, but this time on a universal scale, humankind is seeking no less than its reunion with ‘divine,’ its transcendence into higher forms of life. Hindus call our earth Brahma, or God, for they rightly see no difference between our earth and the divine. This ancient simple truth is slowly dawning again upon humanity, as we are about to enter our cosmic age and become what we were always meant to be: the planet of God.”

Muller also explained the relationship of the United Nations to the “New Spirituality” when he rewrote the first chapter of the biblical Book of Genesis to make it refer to the creation of the United Nations!

On page 17 of his edited volume, The Desire to be Human: A Global Reconnaissance of Human Perspectives in an Age of Transformation, under the title of “The New Genesis”, the first verse states:

“And God saw that all nations of the earth, black and white, rich and poor, from North or South, from East and West, and of all creeds were sending their emissaries to a tall glass house [i.e. the U.N. Headquarters] on the shores of the River of the Rising Sun, on the Island of Manhattan, to stand together, to think together, and to care together for the world and all its people. And God said: ‘That is good.’ And it was the first day of the New Age of the Earth.”

In another of Muller’s books, Decide to Be, we see the New Age philosophy perfectly set forth. One passage aptly demonstrates the self-idolatry that is the real spiritual impetus behind the United Nations:

“Decide to open yourself to God, to the Universe, to all your brethren and sisters, to your inner self…to the potential of the human race, to the infinity of your inner self, and you will become the universe…you will become infinity, and you will be at long last your real, divine, stupendous self.”

After retiring from the UN, Muller founded and developed the United Nations University for Peace in Costa Rica. The World Core Curriculum Manual describes Muller’s educational project: “The underlying philosophy upon which the Robert Muller School is based [on] the teaching set forth in the books of Alice A. Bailey by the Tibetan teacher, Djwhal Khul.”

As I had explained in Part Two of this series, Alice Bailey was an occultist who founded the Lucifer/Lucis Trust and who claimed her many writings had been telepathically dictated to her by a spiritual entity, an “Ascended Master” named Djwahl Khul.

Sadly, Muller and the other occult elites at the United Nations have forgotten that First Temptation in the First Garden, when the Serpent tempted our First Parents by appealing to their pride and narcissism: “Did God really say, ‘You must not eat from any tree in the garden’? …You will not surely die…For God knows that when you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be
like God….” [Genesis 3:1, 4-5]
