Sandy Hook families sue Bushmaster gun manufacturer

Sandy Hoax
One of the many curiosities about the Sandy Hook massacre of Dec. 14, 2012 — in which alleged lone gunman, 20-year-old Adam Lanza, allegedly killed 20 kids and 6 adults in the Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut — is the absence of lawsuits by the victims’ families. (See my post of March 29, 2014, “Why are there no Sandy Hook lawsuits?”)
That has to be a first in notoriously litigious America, where in 1994, 79-year-old Stella Liebeck who spilled a cup of hot McDonald’s coffee on herself sued McDonald’s restaurant and was awarded $2.86 million by a New Mexico civil jury. (The trial judge later reduced the final verdict to $640,000, and the parties settled for a confidential amount before an appeal was decided.)
On Dec. 14, 2014, two years to the day after the alleged massacre, the strange absence of Sandy Hook lawsuits came to an end when, as the AP reports, the families of 9 of the 26 people killed, as well as a teacher who was wounded, filed a lawsuit against the manufacturer, distributor and seller of the Bushmaster AR-15 rifle that Lanza allegedly used in the shooting.
The negligence and wrongful death lawsuit, filed in Bridgeport Superior Court, asserts that the Bushmaster AR-15 rifle should not have been made publicly available because it was designed for military use and is unsuited for hunting or home defense. As attorney Josh Koskoff put it in a release, “The AR-15 was specifically engineered for the United States military to meet the needs of changing warfare. In fact, one of the Army’s specifications for the AR-15 was that it has the capability to penetrate a steel helmet.”
The lawsuit claims that Bushmaster is clearly aware that the AR-15 has become the weapon of choice for mass shootings: “Time and again, mentally unstable individuals and criminals have acquired an AR-15 with ease, and they have unleashed the rifle’s lethal power on our streets, our malls, our places of worship, and our schools.”
As one of the plaintiffs, Bill Sherlach, put it, the gun industry needs to be held to “standard business practices” when it comes to assuming the risk for producing, making and selling a product. “These [gun] companies assume no responsibility for marketing and selling a product to the general population who are not trained to use it nor even understand the power of it.”
The lawsuit seeks unspecified damages for the 10 plaintiffs, 9 of whom are the families of:

  1. Daniel Barden, child
  2. Rachel D’Avino, special ed teacher
  3. Dylan Hockley, child
  4. Jesse Lewis, child
  5. Noah Pozner, child
  6. Lauren Rousseau, teacher
  7. Mary Sherlach, school psychologist
  8. Vicki Soto, teacher
  9. Benjamin Wheeler, child
  10. The 10th plaintiff is Natalie Hammond, a teacher who was injured in the shooting.

The lawsuit names three defendants:

  1. Bushmaster Firearms, the manufacturer of the rifle.
  2. Camfour, a firearm distributor.
  3. Riverview Gun Sales in East Windsor where Adam’s mother, Nancy Lanza, allegedly had purchased the Bushmaster rifle in 2010.

Bushmaster Firearms International
There have been two notable lawsuits against gun manufacturers:

  • In 2002, a federal judge in California ruled that Bushmaster and other gun manufacturers were not responsible for a 1999 shooting spree that killed a postal worker and injured five people at a Jewish community center in Los Angeles. The judge said a lawsuit by the victims’ families did not show a link between the manufacturers and the shooting rampage.
  • In 2004, in a lawsuit over the .223-caliber Bushmaster rifle used in the Washington, D.C.-area sniper shootings that killed 10 people in 2002, Bushmaster and a Washington state gun dealer agreed to pay $550,000 and $2.5 million, respectively, to two survivors and six families. It was the first time a gun manufacturer had agreed to pay damages to settle claims of negligent distribution of weapons.

In 2005, Congress and President George W. Bush approved a federal law, the Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act, which shields gun makers from lawsuits over criminal use of their products, with 6 exemptions. One of the exemptions is the “negligent entrustment” exemption, defined in the law as “the supplying of a qualified product by a seller for use by another person when the seller knows, or reasonably should know, the person to whom the product is supplied is likely to, and does, use the product in a manner involving unreasonable risk of physical injury to the person or others.”
Dan Altimari reports for the Hartford Courant, Dec. 15, 2014, that the Sandy Hook lawsuit will test the 2005 federal law designed to protect gun companies by using the negligent entrustment exemption, normally applied to car accident cases. In a negligent entrustment case, a party (Bushmaster) can be held liable for entrusting a product, in this case the Bushmaster rifle, to another party (Nancy and Adam Lanza) who then causes harm to a third party (Lanza’s victims).
Albany Law School Professor Timothy Lytton, who has written a book about the history of lawsuits against gun companies, said an example of negligent entrustment would be the sale of a weapon by a gun retailer to a suicidal person. A negligent entrustment lawsuit would claim the retailer should have known not to sell that person a gun. Lytton said, “The court needs to decide whether they want to extend negligent entrustment from a retailer selling a gun to someone standing right in front of them to the theory that the manufacturer of the weapon is also responsible when the weapon they made is then sold by another party to a third person.”
Dennis Henigan, former vice president of the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence, said that extending negligent entrustment to the gun manufacturer Bushmaster Firearms is unprecedented, having never before been brought before a court. It is therefore difficult to predict what will happen, although “Most state judges will want to find a way to allow these victims their day in court.”
There are rumors on the Internet that financier George Soros, a gun control advocate, had bought Bushmaster. If this is true, we would have good reason to question the Sandy Hook lawsuit and if the lawsuit would ever go to trial.
But the rumor is not true. (See my post of Nov. 1, 2011, “Is Soros Buying Up Guns in the U.S.?“)
Instead, Bushmaster and other leading gun makers had been acquired by a company called the Freedom Group that the New York Times calls “the most powerful and mysterious force in the American commercial gun industry today.” Behind Freedom Group is the private equity firm Cerberus Capital Management (CCM), which is named after Cerberus, the 3-headed dog that guarded the gates of Hades or Hell in Greek mythology. Steve Feinberg, CCM’s chief executive, co-founded CCM in 1992 with William L. Richter, who currently serves as a senior managing director.
From The New York Times, Nov. 26, 2011:

In recent years, many top-selling brands — including the 195-year-old Remington Arms, as well as Bushmaster Firearms and DPMS, leading makers of military-style semiautomatics — have quietly passed into the hands of a single private company. It is called the Freedom Group — and it is the most powerful and mysterious force in the American commercial gun industry today. […]
Even within gun circles, the Freedom Group is something of an enigma. Its rise has been so swift that it has become the subject of wild speculation and grassy-knoll conspiracy theories. In the realm of consumer rifles and shotguns — long guns, in the trade — it is unrivaled in its size and reach. […]
Behind this giant is Cerberus Capital Management, the private investment company that […] has been buying big names in guns and ammo. […] “We believe our scale and product breadth are unmatched within the industry,” the Freedom Group said in a filing last year with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
[…] Mark Eliason, the vice president for sales and marketing at Windham Weaponry, a new competitor of Bushmaster that was established by Bushmaster’s founder […] estimates that roughly 20 percent of the long guns for sale here are made by Freedom Group companies. […] About a third of it [ammunition] comes from the Freedom Group […].
Some gun enthusiasts have claimed that the power behind the company is actually George Soros, the hedge-fund billionaire and liberal activist. Mr. Soros, these people have warned, is buying American gun companies so he can dismantle the industry, Second Amendment be damned.
The chatter grew so loud that the National Rifle Association issued a statement in October denying the rumors. “N.R.A. has had contact with officials from Cerberus and Freedom Group for some time,” the N.R.A. assured its members. “The owners and investors involved are strong supporters of the Second Amendment and are avid hunters and shooters.”
Mr. Soros isn’t behind the Freedom Group, but, ultimately, another financier is: Stephen A. Feinberg, the chief executive of Cerberus {…] a Princeton graduate who [joined the Reserve Officer Training Corps while at Princeton].
Today, Mr. Feinberg presides over a private empire that rivals some of the mightiest public companies in the land. Cerberus manages more than $20 billion in capital. Together, the companies it owns generate annual revenue of about $40 billion — more than either Amazon or Coca-Cola last year.
Why Cerberus went after gun companies isn’t clear.
[…] Cerberus brings some connections to the table. The longtime chairman of its global investments group is Dan Quayle, the former vice president. The Freedom Group, meantime, has added two retired generals to its board. One is George A. Joulwan, who retired from the Army after serving as Supreme Allied Commander of Europe. The other is Michael W. Hagee, formerly commandant of the Marine Corps.

UPDATE (Oct. 15, 2016)

Yesterday, Oct. 14, 2016, Connecticut Superior Court Judge Barbara Bellis struck down the lawsuit that families of alleged victims had brought against Remington Arms, the parent company of Bushmaster, the brand of AR-15 that Adam Lanza allegedly used in the alleged massacre of 20 children and 6 adults at Sandy Hook Elementary School.
Bellis cited the 2005 Lawful Protection of Commerce in Arms Act (PLCAA), which protects gun manufacturers from being sued in instances where the gun in question was legally made and sold — which was the case with the AR-15 allegedly used by Lanza. (Source: Breitbart)

Sandy Hook: Where were the 100s of students being evacuated?

Sandy Hoax
Today is the second anniversary of the Sandy Hook school massacre.
Two years ago, on the morning of December 14, 2012, a lone gunman with no history of violence or of mental illness (Lanza reportedly had Asperger’s Syndrome, which is a form of autism, not of mental illness), 20-year-old Adam Lanza, first shot his mother Nancy four times in her head, then drove to the Sandy Hook Elementary School (SHES), armed with a rifle, two pistols and a large supply of ammunition.
There, at around 9:30 AM, Lanza gained entrance into the school by shooting and shattering a plate glass window next to the glass doors of the school’s front lobby.

A view of the shattered glass window from inside

A view of the shattered glass window from inside

Lanza went down the school hallways into Classrooms 8 and 10 and, in the space of 5 minutes, shot to death 20 children and 6 adults, including principal Dawn Hochsprung — the same Dawn Hochsprung who, despite having been killed, was interviewed and quoted by the Newtown Bee about the shooting that morning:

Sandy Hook School principal Dawn Hochsprung told the Bee that a masked man entered the school with a rifle and started shooting multiple shows – more than she could count – that went “on and on.”

At 9:40:03 AM, before the arrival of police and first responders, Lanza put a gun to his head and shot himself to death.

Curiously, Social Security Death Index originally had Adam Lanza’s date-of-death as Dec. 13, 2012, one day before he killed 27 people, then himself. (See “Ancestry.com still has Adam Lanza’s date-of-death as a day before the Sandy Hook massacre”)

It had taken Lanza only 5 minutes to shoot and kill 26 people in a hallway and in two separate classrooms.

Or so we were told.

But science says individuals with Asperger’s Syndrome like Adam Lanza typically exhibit poor motor skills and clumsiness. Research says that between 50% to 90% of children and adults with Asperger’s have problems with motor coordination (Ehlers and Gillberg 1993; Ghaziuddin et al. 1994; Gillberg 1989; Szatmari et al. 1990; Tantam 1991). For that reason, motor clumsiness is included as one of the diagnostic criteria for Asperger’s. (Source)

In the two years since, this blog Fellowship of the Minds and countless other citizen bloggers and YouTube videos have meticulously probed and investigated just about every aspect of Sandy Hook. Our conclusion, separately arrived at, is that the Sandy Hook shooting massacre is, in the words of former state trooper Wolfgang Halbig, “a contrived event.” Or as FOTM’s Mike aptly put it, Sandy Hook was “a hoax, a con job, a theatrical production, complete with stars, supporting characters, and extras.”

See “Remarkable resemblance of Sandy Hook victims and professional crisis actors,” “Sandy Hook dad goes from laughing to grieving in blink of an eye,” and “Professional crisis actors simulate mass casualty events”.

This post is about another oddity of the Sandy Hook hoax — the lack of empirical evidence of children being evacuated from SHES that fateful morning, despite the Connecticut State Police (CSP) Sandy Hook Report‘s insistence that they were being evacuated.

You can find the CSP Sandy Hook Report here or https://cspsandyhookreport.ct.gov/.

We’ve been shown only ONE photo image (below) of purported SHES students being evacuated from the school that morning, led by two Connecticut State police officers to the nearby Firehouse.
SH students evacuating
The now iconic photo was taken by local newspaper Newtown Bee‘s Shannon Hicks, who said she had taken the photo at 10:09 AM on Dec. 14, 2012.
Alas, we have good reasons to question the authenticity of Hicks’ photo. (See Professor Jim Fetzer’s “Sent worldwide, Shannon Hick’s ‘iconic’ Sandy Hook photo was faked“.)
Even if we assume Hicks’ photo to be authentic, only about 12 children are shown in the photo. Where are the other children, estimated by Fetzer to number at least 469, given SHES’s enrollment? The image below shows the evacuation that we should have seen if the media had portrayed it:
Sandy Hook children being evacuated, had there been one
Nor did we see images of those HUNDREDS of school children outside or inside the Firehouse, as Redsilverj points out in a video uploaded to YouTube on July 17, 2014:
Sandy Hook evacuation
Remember Shannon Hicks’ iconic photo of children in a single file being escorted out of SHES on the morning of the massacre? Hicks claimed that she had taken the photo at 10:09 AM on Dec. 14, 2012.
Well, there’s a way we can confirm or disconfirm Hicks’ claim.
Police patrol vehicles that responded to the school shooting that morning were equipped with dash cams, and the dash cam videos are time-stamped. Those videos are in the Connecticut state evidence file. Dash cam #2’s video, for example, is labeled 00055705 in the state evidence file and can be viewed on YouTube here.
Let’s take a look at what the videos — from the dash cams of three patrol cars parked in front of SHES that morning — show at and around 10:09 AM, Dec. 14, 2012.
According to the CSP Sandy Hook Report, evacuation began at 9:58 AM. Here’s a screen shot at the 6:33 mark of Redsilverj’s video, showing the three dash cams at 10:00:00 AM, Dec. 14, 2012.

Here’s a screen shot at the 14:58 mark of Redsilverj’s video, showing dash cams 2 and 3 at 10:08:19 AM, Dec. 14, 2012, below which is the CSP Report saying that at “10:08:19 Children are escorted out of the building from the northeast corner of SHES”.

SH dash cams2
Here’s a screen shot at the 15:47 mark of Redsilverj’s video, showing dash cams 2 and 3 at 10:09:18 AM and 10:09:14 AM, respectively. Recall that Shannon Hicks’ photo of the 12 children being evacuated was taken at 10:09 AM.

SH dash cams3
Here’s a screen shot at the 16:08 mark of Redsilverj’s video, showing dash cams 2 and 3 at 10:09:38 AM and 10:09:35 AM, respectively, below which is the CSP Report saying that at “10:09:29 Students are escorted from SHES.”
Do you see any children? (Click image below to enlarge)
SH dash cams4
Here’s a screen shot at the 17:02 mark of Redsilverj’s video, showing dash cams 1 and 2 at 10:10:33 AM and 10:10:32 AM, respectively, below which is the CSP Report saying that at “10:10:31 CSP Det Van Ness and unidentified DEEP (ENCON) officers are escorting children from the northeast corner of SHES.”
Do you see any children? (Click image below to enlarge)
SH dash cams5
Redsilverj’s video shows many more instances when the CSP Report clearly states that children are being escorted from SHES, but no child or children can be seen in the time-stamped dash cam videos. Watch for yourself!
[youtube=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rqcaaE6aFX8]
To conclude, the timeline of the Connecticut State Police’s official report on Sandy Hook does not match the time-stamped videos taken from the dash cams of trooper vehicles in SHES’s parking lot on the morning of Dec. 14, 2012. The CSP Report again and again states that children are being escorted out of the school, but the dash cam videos do not show any children being evacuated from SHES.
Why is that?
A simple explanation is that no child/children were evacuated from Sandy Hook Elementary School on the morning of Dec. 14, 2012, because the school had been abandoned long before. (See “Was Sandy Hook Elementary School already abandoned before the massacre?” and “Workers tearing down Sandy Hook school sworn to confidentiality”)
That, of course, also means that no child/children were shot dead on Dec. 14, 2012. (See “No one died in Sandy Hook: Testimony from Social Security Death Master File”)
That, in turn, would explain why Newtown and the State of Connecticut to this day refuse to make public the death certificates of the 26 people allegedly killed at SHES on Dec. 14, 2012 — despite FOIA requests from the AP and in spite of the fact that death certificates, like birth and marriage certificates, are vital public records accessible by the public. We are told the reason is because releasing the death certificates of the 20 supposedly-dead children would hurt their parents’ feelings. But why would releasing the death certificates of Adam and Nancy Lanza hurt the feelings of the parents of the 20 “dead” children? (See “Newtown clerk refuses to issue Sandy Hook victims’ death certificates”)
It doesn’t make sense. And to quote Judge Judy:

“If it doesn’t make sense, it isn’t true.”

I really do understand how difficult it is for many Americans to imagine, even less to believe, that our government and media (see “CNN deception: Live aerial footage of police running into Sandy Hook was of another school”) can be as conniving and evil as to perpetrate such an enormous hoax. I humbly suggest you do the following:

  1. Let go of your a priori (your presumed-to-be-true presupposition) that our government does not and cannot lie to us.
  2. Then examine the evidence calmly and dispassionately, by reading the posts FOTM has published on Sandy Hook. Go to our “Sandy Hook Massacre” page.
  3. After you’ve examined the empirical evidence (such as this post on the testimony of the dash cam videos), ask yourself whom you believe — the government/media? or what your own intelligence tells you.

Did "The Simpsons" presage the Ebola epidemic? — and other pop culture foreshadowings

The plain fact is that governments do engage in deception, including plotting and instigating false flags — phony mass traumatic events — to advance a covert agenda.
One of the most famous false flags is the Reichstag fire of February, 1933 — an arson attack on the German government’s Reichstag (parliamentary) building in Berlin.
Adolf Hitler, who was sworn in as Chancellor only 4 weeks before, blamed the fire on the Nazis’ rival, the Communists — that the Reichstag fire was the beginning of a Communist plot to overthrow the Weimar Republic. Hitler succeeded in getting then-President Paul von Hindenburg to pass an emergency decree. Civil liberties were suspended; the German government instituted mass arrests of Communists, including all of the Communist parliamentary delegates. With their bitter rivals gone and their parliamentary seats empty, Hitler’s National Socialist German Workers Party (Nazis) went from being a plurality party to the majority, thereby ushering in Hitler’s consolidation of power.
In the United States, there is increasing and compelling evidence that the Sandy Hook school massacre on December 14, 2012, and the Boston Marathon Bombings on April 15, 2013, are both false-flag contrived events. (See “Former CIA spy: Sandy Hook and Boston Bombing were false flags“)
Some of us have become so cynical that we suspect every traumatic event to be another false flag. After all, President Ebola’s former White House adviser (and current mayor of Chicago) Rahm Emanuel did famously advise his fellow Democrats never to let a crisis go to waste, but to make political hay out of those crises.
Adding to our unease is the fact that certain mass traumatic events seemed to have been foreshadowed by eerie pop culture images and references.
As examples:
1. The name “Sandy Hook” is written on a map in the Batman movie The Dark Knight Rises. (The movie is now infamous for being the one shown in a midnight premier on July 20, 2012, in Century Theater, Aurora, Colorado, where alleged lone gunman James Holmes shot and killed 12 and wounded 58.) In the movie, when plotters are determining where mayhem will erupt, police commissioner James Gordon (played by Gary Oldman) points to a map showing a targeted area identified as Sandy Hook, also known as “Strike Zone 1” where Gotham Stadium is located.

2. The name “Aurora” appears on the top of a skyscraper in the backdrop of another scene in Dark Knight Rises:
Aurora
3. Suzanne Collins, the author of The Hunger Games — a book about young people who have to hunt down and kill each other, which was made into a popular series of movies — lives in Sandy Hook, Connecticut, where alleged lone gunman Adam Lanza shot his mother and 26 people in the Sandy Hook Elementary School.

The terrorist attacks on New York City’s twin towers on September 11, 2001 seemed to have been presaged by many images and ads that, in retrospect, appear sinister and downright spooky. Here are 7 presaging images.
1. The cover design for an album by the hip-hop band The Coup:

The album cover was pulled within two days of the attack, and replaced with a new design in time for the album’s release date of November 6, 2001.
2. In the 1999 movie The Matrix, there’s a scene showing the passport of Neo expiring on September 11, 2001.

3. 1981 Asbestos ad:

4. 1979 Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) ad:

6. An ad for an Israeli candy called Elite:

7. 1997 FEMA Emergency Response to Terrorism booklet:

The latest pop culture presage has to do with the current Ebola epidemic.

In 1987, the popular animated TV show The Simpsons had an episode in which Marge Simpson offered her son, Bart, who was sick in bed, a children’s book titled Curious George and the Ebola Virus.

Are these mere accidental coincidences?
Are they instances of Swiss psychologist Carl Jung’s synchronicity? — temporally coincident occurrences of acausal events (i.e., the events are apparently not causally related) which reveal an underlying pattern or a larger framework.  If they are, what is the underlying pattern or larger framework?
Or are these not coincidences at all, but rather signs of a hidden hand manipulating events, which some attribute to the Illuminati or the shadowy Powers That Be?

FBI releases heavily-censored documents on Sandy Hook massacre

Wolfgang Halbig, a former state trooper and current school safety consultant, repeatedly has asked entirely reasonable questions about the alleged massacre of 20 students and 6 women at the Sandy Hook Elementary School on Dec. 14, 2012. In his quest for answers, Halbig has even invoked the Freedom of Information Act. (Go here to see his questions.)

To this day, however, Halbig has received no response, not even one, to his questions from local (Newtown) and state (Connecticut) officials, even when he personally posed the questions to the Newtown Board of Education, after traveling thousands of miles from his home in Florida. (See “Citizens confront Newtown Board of Education about Sandy Hook hoax”)

One of Halbig’s questions is:

Why did the FBI classify the Sandy Hook massacre? This has never been done before. Even the Columbine School massacre was not classified information. To this day, the FBI report on Sandy Hook remains classified information, not releasable to the public.

On April 24, 2014, Dave Altimari reports for The Hartford Courant that, in response to a Courant Freedom of Information (FOI) request, the FBI has released about 175 pages of documents from the Sandy Hook Elementary School massacre investigation. The Courant submitted its FOI request in January 2014 after Connecticut state police had released its report.

Alas, the documents “released” by the FBI were “heavily blacked-out,” i.e., censored.

Of the 175 pages released, 64 were completely redacted (blacked-out). Of the remaining 111 pages, “most were heavily redacted.” Below is an example:

As you can see from the page above, it is nearly devoid of information other than that Adam Lanza allegedly was “a troubled kid” and “interested in Japanese techno music.”

Assuming that the other 110 “heavily-redacted” pages are like the page above, this means that the FBI’s release is almost devoid of information.

The Courant says “The names of all witnesses interviewed by federal agents have been removed and there are no references to attempts by federal authorities in Washington, D.C., to recover information from a computer disk that shooter Adam Lanza destroyed.”

That is most interesting because in the days immediately after the alleged massacre, we were told by the news media that Lanza had smashed the hard-drive of his computer. Despite that, the State of Connecticut’s Final Report on Sandy Hook included detailed descriptions of what the FBI presumably had retrieved from Lanza’s computer — about pedophiles, child porn, serial killers, and hatred toward his grandmother. You name the vile evil, he (allegedly) was into it.

Having been trained in scholarship and research, I prefer to see for myself the primary source instead of rely on a secondary account. But The Courant provided no link to the FBI documents.

A blog called Sandy Hook Facts & Research claims that “What [Courant reporter] Altimari fails to point out, or intentionally hides, is that the documents that the FBI released to the Courant were the same public record that had already been released in the final report. There was nothing new here; he could have written that article in December; but the Courant wanted to feed the ignorant.”

But Sandy Hook Facts & Research didn’t give a link to the FBI documents either. So I went on the FBI’s website and searched for the elusive Sandy Hook documents but found nothing. The closest is a page on “Shooting Incidents Reports” that contains a report on the Sandy Hook shooting which, as the FBI admits, was not authored by the FBI, but instead is the Connecticut state police’s report.

In other words, one year five months after the alleged massacre, the FBI still has not released its Sandy Hook report.

The FBI is a bureau within the Justice Department of the Obama administration. On August 21, 2010, Obama grandiloquently declared: ““The only people who don’t want to disclose the truth are people with something to hide.”

[youtube=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ypAU28t5Ya0]

What about the Sandy Hook massacre is the Obama administration hiding? Only those who lie and deceive fear the light of day.

In the meantime, never forget that according to the FBI’s own statistics, no one was murdered in Newtown, CT in 2012!

Was Sandy Hook Elementary School already abandoned before the massacre?

In his recent interview with Wolfgang Halbig, the school safety consultant and former state trooper who calls the Dec. 14, 2012 Sandy Hook school shooting “a contrived scripted event” in the planning for 2-2½ years, Infowars reporter Dan Bidondi said something very intriguing (beginning at the 50:45 mark in the video below):

[youtube=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DrHD-mELhcs]

Bidondi said: “Was this whole thing [Sandy Hook shooting] staged? Was it real? You have neighbors reporting the school’s been closed down for God knows how long…. They can’t understand why there were kids in that building because it was condemned.”

Indeed, according to local paper The Newtown Bee, nearly 10 months after the shooting on October 5, 2013, a city referendum passed by over 90% authorizing Newtown to move forward with the demolition and rebuilding of Sandy Hook Elementary School (SHES) with a $49.25 million grant from the State of Connecticut. The Bee says: “Anticipating the referendum would pass, town officials already filed environmental paperwork with the state to move forward with asbestos abatement at the former school, which will dovetail with demolition crews who could be on site by the last week in October.”

What this means is that even without the alleged massacre, the school would have been demolished because of asbestos contamination.

In fact, a search of Newtown Bee‘s archives shows that the town had known about the school’s environmental problems for many years:

  • On October 2, 2002, The Bee reports that “The Newtown School District could be looking at a $29.5 million price tag to upgrade its mechanical systems and bring them to code at the four elementary schools and middle school over the next five to six years. Consulting Engineering Services (CES) was hired by the district to study the mechanical systems at Hawley School, Head O’ Meadow School, Middle Gate School, Newtown Middle School, and Sandy Hook School to evaluate the heating and ventilating infrastructure, temperature control, and to see what renovations would need to be performed to upgrade ventilation systems to meet indoor air quality codes. Sandy Hook School … is being recommended by CES to be worked on in 2010 over a nine-month period. It is estimated to cost $4.5 million for heating and ventilation and $400,000 for air conditioning.” That comes to about $5 million, which is puny compared to the $49.25 million state grant Newtown received after the alleged shooting massacre for the demolition and rebuilding of the school.
  • On April 7, 2003, the Bee reported that “Some studies suggest that as many as 68 percent of school district’s have ‘sick’ buildings ranging from mold to asbestos, radon, pesticides, and the use of improperly ventilated areas as classroom space. For the past five years, teachers in Connecticut have had the highest rate of occupational asthma when compared to other professions.
  • On March 26, 2004 , the Bee reported that “the Board of Education … received the bad news that there were serious problems with the Sandy Hook elementary school roof.”
  • And then there’s this curious Newtown Bee article of November 7, 2008, 4 years before the alleged shooting massacre: “The asbestos levels in Newtown schools pose no threat to the health or safety of those using the schools, according to Superintendent John Reed. The areas in the schools where there is evidence of asbestos … are also considered acceptable and safe.”
  • On October 12, 2012, two months before the alleged school shooting, there’s this curious letter from reader Charles Hepp to The Newtown Bee about a plan to close an elementary school due to declining enrollment. Hepp wrote, “Six months ago, in April 2012, our Board of Ed voted unanimously to accept a study which laid out a plan for closing an elementary school … the study found that, should our elementary school population fall below 1,500, the BOE should look towards closing an elementary school. We are currently at approximately 1,650 elementary school students.”
  • But then a year after the alleged massacre and after the school had been completely torn down with the demolition workers sworn to confidentiality, The Bee reported on Dec. 2, 2013 that Public Building & Site Commission Chairman Robert Mitchell issued a report that directly contradicts the earlier 2008 assessment that asbestos levels in Newtown’s schools posed no threat to health. Mitchell’s report said “had the town decided to reoccupy the [Sandy Hook Elementary] school on Dickinson Drive, it would have faced a daunting and possibly insurmountable challenge regarding the presence of hazardous materials” because “PCBs were not only discovered in concrete block, but under terrazzo flooring and in sulfur block used in the foundations and footings. In addition, vinyl asbestos tile was discovered under carpeted areas, along with asbestos in the mastic holding insulation to the subfloor tunnel ductwork.”

In a video that you can watch on YouTube, a man who calls himself “Jungle Surfer” claims to have found “proof” that Sandy Hook Elementary School was closed 5 years before the alleged massacre. Using the Internet Archive’s Wayback Machine, Jungle Surfer says he found no Internet activity from the location of SHES at 12 Dickenson Dr, Sandy Hook, CT 06482.

Below is a screenshot I took of the Wayback Machine showing the school’s lack of Internet activity since the beginning of the year 2008 through 2009, 2010, 2011, and 2012. You can also see it for yourself by going here.

Reader “Christopher Marlowe” wrote this comment on March 7, 2014, on a blog that posted Jungle Surfer’s video on the Wayback Machine:

The proof is sublime. The wayback machine isn’t perfect, but it doesn’t lie. The site was accessed each year, from 2000 to 2008, and then NOTHING until 2013.

The wayback machine uses the googlebot crawls to preserve pictures of the site on a given day. (Brief research reveals that the bots record a snapshot when the site is updated, but my own testing shows that there is a heavy tie-in to the amount of web traffic….)

Other dead sites show a drop-off similar to what we see in the sandy hoax school:

Another indicator of whether Sandy Hook Elementary School had been abandoned BEFORE the alleged massacre are photos taken by the crime scene investigators of the interior of the school.

What follows is a sample of photographs of the alleged crime which I’d culled from “22 Assorted Files” on the (Connecticut) Department of Emergency Services and Public Protection’s website on Sandy Hook Elementary School Shooting Reports. (An easier way to view the photos is to go to the Sandy Hoax Facebook page. Click here.)

The following crime scene photos will be interspersed with relevant quotes from the State of Connecticut’s Final Report on Sandy Hook published on Nov. 25, 2013, titled Report of the State’s Attorney for the Judicial District of Danbury on the Shootings at Sandy Hook Elementary School and 36 Yogananda Street, Newtown, Connecticut on December 14, 2012. All page references are to the Final Report.

1. The photos were taken at the crime scene in the course of 7 days beginning on the day of the shooting:

On the afternoon of December 14, 2012, the WDMC (Connecticut State Police Western District Major Crime) and CDMC (Central District Major Crime) van units began documenting the crime scene and collecting evidence. The units could not begin this process until the scene was declared safe. The scene processing took seven days. The scene was thoroughly processed, with the WDMC van unit handling the interior of SHES and the CDMC van unit covering the exterior. This processing included extensive written documentation as well as taking videos and thousands of photographs and measurements. In addition to the recovery of evidence, bullet trajectories were analyzed and documented.” (p. 16)

2. The Final Report’s “Executive Summary” states:

“On the morning of December 14, 2012, the shooter [Adam Lanza], age 20, heavily armed, went to Sandy Hook Elementary School (SHES) in Newtown, where he shot his way into the locked school building with a Bushmaster Model XM15-E2S rifle. He then shot and killed the principal and school psychologist as they were in the north hallway of the school responding to the noise of the shooter coming into the school. The shooter also shot and injured two other staff members who were also in the hallway.

The shooter then went into the main office, apparently did not see the staff who were hiding there, and returned to the hallway.

After leaving the main office, the shooter then went down the same hallway in which he had just killed two people and entered first grade classrooms 8 and 10, the order in which is unknown. While in those rooms he killed the two adults in each room, fifteen children in classroom 8 and five in classroom 10. All of the killings were done with the Bushmaster rifle.

He then took his own life with a single shot from a Glock 20, 10 mm pistol in classroom 10. […]

It is the conclusion of this State’s Attorney that the shooter acted alone and was solely criminally responsible for his actions of that day. Moreover, none of the evidence developed to date demonstrates probable cause to believe that any other person conspired with the shooter to commit these crimes or aided and abetted him in doing so.

Unless additional – and at this time unanticipated – evidence is developed, there will be no state criminal prosecution as result of these crimes. With the issuance of this report, the investigation is closed.” (pp. 1-3)

3. How Adam Lanza gained entrance into the school:

“On the morning of December 14, 2012 … Shortly after 9:30 a.m. he approached the front entrance to the school. He was armed with a Bushmaster Model XM15-E2S rifle (also Bushmaster rifle), a Glock 20, 10 mm pistol and a Sig Sauer P226, 9 mm pistol and a large supply of ammunition. The doors to the school were locked, as they customarily were at this time, the school day having already begun. The shooter proceeded to shoot his way into the school building through the plate glass window to the right of the front lobby doors … at approximately 9:35 a.m.” (p. 9)

4. Shootings in the school’s hallways:

“The main office staff reported hearing noises and glass breaking at approximately 9:35 a.m. and saw the shooter, a white male with a hat and sunglasses, come into the school building with a rifle type gun. The shooter walked normally, did not say anything and appeared to be breathing normally. He was seen shooting the rifle down the hallway. … As the staff member left the room, the staff member heard gunshots and saw [Principal] Mrs. Hochsprung and [School Psychologist] Mrs. Sherlach fall down in front of the staff member. The staff member felt a gunshot hit the staff member’s leg. Once down, the staff member was struck again by additional gunfire, but laid still in the hallway. Not seeing anyone in the hallway, the staff member crawled back into room 9 and held the door shut. A call to 911 was made….

At the same time the shooter was firing in the hallway, another staff member was at the far east end of the hallway near classroom 1. The staff member was struck by a bullet in the foot and retreated into a classroom.

Both Dawn Hochsprung, age 47, and Mary Sherlach, age 56, died as a result of being shot. Both wounded staff members shot in the hallway were later evacuated to the hospital and survived.” (pp. 9-10)

_______________

Note: So there were two wounded adults, but we’ve only been told of one, Natalie Hammond (See “Who, Where are the Sandy Hook wounded?”).

_______________

Here are some photos of SHES’s hallways:

5. Shootings in Classrooms 8 & 10:

“The evidence and witness statements establish the shooter went down the hallway in an easterly direction ultimately entering first grade classrooms 8 and 10. The order is not definitively known. While in classrooms 8 and 10, the shooter shot and killed four adults and twenty children with the Bushmaster rifle. Twelve children survived, one from classroom 8 and eleven from classroom 10. The shooter finally killed himself in classroom 10 with one gunshot to his head from a Glock 20, 10 mm pistol. This is believed to have occurred at 9:40:03. … In all, eighteen children and six adult school staff members were found deceased within the school. Two more children were pronounced dead at Danbury Hospital. Two other adult school staff members were injured and were treated at nearby hospitals and survived.” (p. 10)

Recall that Lanza had shattered the glass window at 9:35 am and killed himself at 9:40:03, which means we are to believe that this young man, afflicted with Asperger Syndrome (Wolfgang Halbig says those with Asperger typically have very poor motor skills), shot and killed 26 people in 5 minutes.

6. Photos of bullet holes:

I painted red circles around the “bullet” hole and the pile of drilled dust underneath

7. Photos of the school’s classrooms:

Note the clean carpets and floors, the absence of blood spatter, how in some rooms everything is stacked along the sides and the windows (creating a fire hazard), while other rooms are so cluttered, which also creates a fire hazard.

You may think: “Maybe the Connecticut State Police had cleared some of the classrooms, pushing stuff to the sides of the room, before they took the photos.” But then, there are many photos (like the one below) of bullets next to yellow crime scene markers, which suggest the photos of the classrooms had been taken as they were, without disturbing or altering the crime scene.

9. Photo of Nancy Lanza’s bedroom:

The Final Report says that “Prior to going to the school, the shooter used a .22 caliber Savage Mark II rifle to shoot and kill his mother in her bed at the home where they lived at 36 Yogananda Street in Newtown.” (p. 3)

Nancy Lanza had lived in that home for many years, a pricey home in an affluent neighborhood. How could her bedroom walls be bare of pictures, paintings or mirrors?

As seen in these photos, does Sandy Hook Elementary School look to you to be an actual active school or does it look abandoned or decommissioned?

Update (July 19, 2018):

I have stated in previous posts that Sandy Hook Elementary School had long been closed before the “massacre” because it contaminated with asbestos and other environmental toxins. Alas, the local newspaper Newtown Bee memory-holed its articles on the contamination. But this Newtown Bee article published a year after the “massacre” confirms the school was contaminated with “widespread haz-mat presence”. For the school to remain open would be to place its staff and students’ health and lives in danger, which would render the school vulnerable to lawsuits.

Why are there no Sandy Hook lawsuits?

One of the questions former state trooper and nationally-recognized school safety consultant Wolfgang W. Halbig asks is why there hasn’t been not even one lawsuit by a Sandy Hook parent against Sandy Hook Elementary School for negligence. Halbig has never ever seen a school shooting without parents suing the school for negligence.

Below is an excellent article by my friend, Dean Garrison of The D.C. Clothesline, asking the same question. Highly recommend!

sandy hook victims 1

Why are there NO SANDY HOOK VICTIM’S LAWSUITS?

What are the odds, in today’s world, of 26 victimized families ALL deciding not to sue a multi-millionaire who is a seemingly easy target?

Peter Lanza has a lot of money. Whether you believe he is responsible for the actions of his son, or not, you can not deny that the man is loaded by most people’s standards. Are you aware that he was paying Nancy Lanza over $250,000 a year to take care of Adam?

Our best clue of his actual salary comes from Yahoo:

But where is the father’s culpability in all of this? The General Electric financial executive, who makes over a million dollars a year helping his company evade taxes, has so far gotten a pass from the media and the public.

Before I go on, I want to note that I do not believe that Peter Lanza should be sued and many of our readers will not either. But in today’s world when people see dollar signs and opportunity they jump. I just find it very odd that none of those 26 families are suing.

I should also note that one lawsuit did surface after the shooting. It was subsequently dropped and was not from a family of one of the deceased. On January 2, 2013 (less than a month after the incident) CNN reported:

Outcry over a request for permission to sue the state of Connecticut for millions of dollars in the aftermath of the Newtown shooting prompted a New Haven attorney to at least temporarily withdraw his client’s petition, the attorney said Tuesday.

“I was getting hundreds of (Facebook) comments” about the potential lawsuit. “So I figured I’d take (the request) off the table for now,” said Irving Pinsky, who represents the parents of a 6-year-old survivor of the mass shooting at Sandy Hook elementary school.

Last week, Pinsky said in his filing that the state had failed to protect his client from what he described as “foreseeable harm.”

That is the only evidence I can find of any associated lawsuits, and I know of none by the families of the deceased. How odd is this? Very odd if you compare it to…

Columbine

It would seem that there is some precedent for suing the parents of shooters. That is why I mentioned that Peter Lanza seemed to be an “easy target.” After the dust began to clear on the Columbine lawsuits, ABC reported:

Most of the families of the victims in the Columbine massacre two years ago today settled their lawsuits against the parents of the gunmen.

Thirty of the 36 families whose relatives were either killed or injured by Dylan Klebold and Eric Harris in the April 20, 1999, school shooting agreed to participate in a settlement for a total of $1.56 million, according to Stephen Wahlberg, who led the families’ attorneys in the case. A judge will determine how the money is distributed.

Six of the families whose children were killed in the shootings opted not to settle. They are still pursuing suits against the Klebolds and Harrises, lawyers said.

Do you think that an attorney might advise a family to sue based on the results of Columbine litigation? To be fair, not all of these mass shootings have gained the same results as the Columbine suits, but ALL of them featured multiple lawsuits from families of the deceased. Let me share the info I have for the Virginia Tech shooting and the Aurora theater shooting as well.

Virginia Tech

Two of the victim’s families sued the school. Originally they received a positive ruling but lost later on appeal. The Courant notes:

The Virginia Tech lawsuit exemplifies a case that provided some closure and redress for two grieving families — the parents of deceased students Erin Peterson and Julia Pryde. In the Virginia Tech tragedy, a student, Seung-Hui Cho, murdered two of his classmates in one of the Virginia Tech dormitories. Roughly 21/2 hours later, Cho broke into one of the university’s classroom buildings and gunned down an additional 30 students and professors before killing himself. Families of the deceased students brought suit, alleging that school officials knew many facts about the first killing and there was sufficient time before the mass killing for the officials to warn the university community of the danger.

The court agreed with the plaintiffs, finding school officials responsible. Although this finding was overturned on appeal, the Virginia Tech lawsuit exemplifies a school shooting case that delved into the facts of a tragedy, answered some important questions for the grieving families and provided some closure.

Aurora Theater Shooting

Ten families of the deceased victims of alleged shooter James Holmes are still in process of suing the theater, and received a ruling to move forward from a judge in April of 2013. Hollywood Reporter revealed:

After the shooting tragedy last July 20 in Aurora, Colorado, during a midnight showing of The Dark Knight Rises, families of those hurt or killed looked for someone to blameJames Holmes is being charged with the criminal act of murders and attempted murder, but that wasn’t enough for several victims. Ten separate lawsuits were filed against Cinemark, the owner of the theater where the shooting took place, which responded by saying that it couldn’t have foreseen a shocking criminal act.

On Wednesday, U.S. District Court judge Richard Brooke Jackson considered whether the lawsuits should proceed.

In a personal note within his opinion, Jackson writes, “I suspect that many people, despite overwhelming sympathy and grief for the victims of the Aurora theater shootings, might upon hearing about these lawsuits have had reactions like, ‘how could a theater be expected to prevent something like this?’ I confess that I am one of those people.”

But the judge quickly adds that the lawsuits “present difficult questions of interpretation and application of law,” and calling it a “close call,” he has decided that Cinemark should continue to face questions about its responsibility for the mass shooting last year.

Looking at three similar tragedies it would seem that the lack of legal actions in the wake of Sandy Hook are certainly an anomaly. It proves nothing in and of itself. It is however just another in a long line of Sandy Hook anomalies. The arguments against the conspiracy and/or cover up have become weaker with time. No longer can many people deny the oddities. You can not explain things like The Associated Press using predated photos that were taken days, weeks, months and even years before the tragedy took place.

More often than not I hear a single recurring argument now… Do you know how many people would have to be complicit for them to pull something like this off?

Indeed.

Sandy Hook massacre was a “contrived event,” says former state trooper Wolfgang Halbig

A year and two months after the alleged massacre on Dec. 14, 2012 of 20 first-grade children and 6 adults at the Sandy Hook Elementary School (SHES) in Newtown, Connecticut, we now have a credible honest man saying, with no doubt or hesitancy, that what we’ve been told about the massacre simply isn’t true.

The massacre was “a contrived event,” which means it didn’t happen. The whole thing was fake.

Who is this man?

Wolfgang Halbig

He is Wolfgang W. Halbig, a humble straight-talking 67-year-old man who has an impressive professional record as a law enforcement officer (U.S. Customs inspector and Florida state trooper), an educator (public school coach, teacher, assistant principal and principal), and a nationally-recognized school safety consultant who has served as an expert witness in the Columbine and other school shootings.

Below is his biographical sketch:

Wolf bio sketch

In a stunning radio interview with Dave Gahary of American Free Press, uploaded to YouTube on Feb. 13, 2014, Mr. Halbig:

  1. Enumerates all the things that are wrong and suspicious about what happened at Sandy Hook that day;
  2. Describes how he was refused answers to his questions about the massacre; and
  3. How he was threatened by two law enforcement (LE) officers for asking those questions.

[youtube=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6roDPt1WYYY]

Like many FOTM readers, I rarely have the time or patience to watch long videos. In the case of Halbig’s interview, it is more than 43 minutes long. So I listened to and transcribed from the interview to write this post, because reading a report in text not only is quicker, we also are better able to retain the information.

What follows is my report on Halbig’s interview. Words between quotations marks are Halbig’s.

A. “Things that don’t make sense” about Sandy Hook

Being a school safety consultant who has traveled to every state in America to investigate and testify on school shootings, Halbig calls every shooting “a puzzle” that must be pieced together. In the case of the Sandy Hook massacre, however,  the pieces of this puzzle simply “don’t fit.” Those pieces include:

  1. When the police arrived at Sandy Hook Elementary School (SHES) that morning, they parked ¼ mile from the school’s front door instead of doing what first responders are supposed to do in an active shooter event, which is to neutralize the threat as quickly as possible so as to save as many lives as possible.

  2. Paramedics and EMTs (emergency medical technicians) were not allowed to enter the school. Instead they were kept waiting in the Sandy Hook fire station nearby, 500 yards down the road from SHES.

  3. Trauma helicopters, which can provide the quickest and best medical services in an emergency, were not sent to Sandy Hook. Life Star, the medical helicopter service at Danbury Hospital’s Trauma Center, told Halbig “we were never called, never asked.”

  4. Where were the ambulances to transport the wounded to hospitals?

  5. Why did police declare 26 people to be dead within the first 11 minutes of the shooting, when according to Connecticut law, only a doctor can declare someone to be legally dead?

  6. Why did the FBI classify the Sandy Hook massacre? This has never been done before. Even the Columbine School massacre was not classified information. To this day, the FBI report on Sandy Hook remains classified information, not releasable to the public.

  7. Why did the State of Connecticut wait ELEVEN whole months to issue its official final report on the Sandy Hook shootings to the American public? Note that the final report does not include the FBI’s still-classified report.

  8. Police transmissions don’t lie because they are made by sworn and trained law enforcement officers. On the morning of Dec. 14, 2012, recorded police transmissions said “We have multiple weapons inside the [SH] classroom — a rifle and a shotgun.” But nobody could find the shotgun in the school. Instead, a shotgun was found in the black Honda parked outside the school.

  9. At 9:45 AM that day, a police officer found a surviving kindergarten-aged girl in the hallway. The officer sent her back into Room 8 — a crime scene with students and teachers shot dead. What police officer would do that?

  10. Similarly, that morning, two Connecticut state troopers entered Room 10 and found an unharmed boy hiding in the bathroom. The troopers ordered the boy to stay in the room — a room with dead people. “That’s not police protocol.”

  11. Having investigated and given expert testimony on many school shootings, Halbig says “I know what tears look like.” But the parents of slain Sandy Hook children, as we’ve noted here on FOTM, did not cry. (In the now famous case of Robbie Parker, the father of allegedly slain 6-year-old Emilie, he went from laughing and joking to pretending to choke back tears in the blink of an eye.)

  12. Sandy Hook’s medical examiner Dr. Wayne Carver refused to let the parents see the bodies of their slain children, and instead gave them photos of the bodies, which is “unheard of.” Halbig knows about the inconsolable grief of parents and is himself a parent. Parents whose children had been shot dead “would kick the door down” demanding to see the bodies.

  13. Why was Sandy Hook Elementary School torn down? This is not the case with  any of the other schools where shootings had taken place, including Columbine School.

  14. Who installed the new security system at SHES? This should be a matter of public record.

  15. The shooting-to-death of 26 people would leave 45-60 gallons of blood. Who cleaned it up? What biohazard company was hired to clean the crime scene?

16. Why is there not even one lawsuit by a Sandy Hook parent against SHES for negligence? Halbig has never ever seen a school shooting without parents suing the school for negligence.

  1. Why are there so many fund-raisers for the Sandy Hook shootings? Halbig: “I’ve never seen so many fund-raisers” in the case of Sandy Hook. One fundraising alone, by United Way, netted $17 million, from which “every [SH] parent got a big chunk of money.”

  2. Alleged shooter Adam Lanza, 20, is said to have Asperger syndrome — a high-functioning (in academics) form of austism. Halbig points out, however, that like those with autism, children with Asperger have “very very poor motor skills” and “very poor muscle tone.” How did Asperger-afflicted Adam Lanza with “very poor muscle tone” carry a rifle, a shotgun, a handgun, and bullets? How did Asperger-afflicted Adam Lanza with “very very poor motor skills” shoot 26 people dead — not wounded — in less than five minutes, firing one bullet roughly every two seconds?

B. Officials who refused to answer Halbig’s questions

When the alleged massacre first happened, like all of us, Halbig was in shock. But a week after, he started asking questions.

About two months after the alleged massacre, in February 2013, invoking Connecticut’s Freedom of Information Act, Halbig began phoning and sending letters to various local and state officials, asking the same questions that you’ve read above. The officials include the SHES superintendent, members of the school board, secretary to the school board, Newtown Chief of Police Michael Kehoe, and the Department of Education of the State of Connecticut.

You can read the letters he sent on Veterans Today.

To date, a year after he called and wrote to those officials, Halbig has received NOT EVEN ONE RESPONSE. No one returned his call. No one replied to his letters. Halbig: “If you refuse to respond to simple questions, there’s something wrong. Why would you not tell us what happened?”

C. The Threat

Two months ago, at about 10 AM “right before Christmas,” two law enforcement officers — homicide investigators — from Lake County Sheriff’s Office (Halbig lives in Lake County, Florida) knocked on his door. The two officers were dressed in plain clothes.

They showed Halbig their badges; read to him the dossier they had on him (Halbig: “somebody did their homework”); and warned him that if he doesn’t “stop asking questions about Sandy Hook, the Connecticut state police will file felony charges of harassment against” him.

As Halbig put it, “If I don’t comply, bad things will happen to me.”

The two officers then advised Halbig to “hire an attorney.”

Note that Halbig had asked the questions politely, and that it is within his legal right to ask those questions because he invoked the Freedom of Information Act.

D. Sandy Hook is a lie

Wolfgang Halbig was asked point blank what he thinks of the Sandy Hook shootings. This is his response:

“In my professional opinion [as a school safety consultant], I suspect Sandy Hook was a scripted event that took place, in the planning for two or 2½ years.”

_________________________

Note from Eowyn: That would explain why so many of the homes of Sandy Hook victims had a strange sale transaction date of 12/25/2009 and sale price of $0. December 2009 is exactly three years before the alleged massacre.

_________________________

Halbig does not believe any child was killed at Sandy Hook Elementary School.

Period.

In his words: “Sandy Hook raised public fear in every school, private and public. If people used children and teachers as a prop to enhance their agenda, shame on you.”

As in Watergate, Halbig says we must “follow the money.” He notes the unprecedented scale of Sandy Hook fund-raising and public donations, and that Attorney General Eric Holder awarded “a big check” to every police officer involved in the Sandy Hook shooting. Halbig suggests there’ll be “witness relocations” and people who will not be “paying taxes for the next 10 years.”

E. What Needs to Be Done

Halbig plans to:

  1. Visit Newtown in person to ask people questions “eye ball to eye ball.”

  2. Raise money to hire attorneys to depose the “key players” to testify. Anyone who lies in a deposition has committed a felony.

  3. File civil law suits against the Sandy Hook/Newtown school board because “They’re counting on no one’s going to sue.”

When the interviewer reminded him that “if this [conspiracy] goes up to the highest level, to the White House, your life is in danger,” Halbig said “I had a great journey” and is prepared to die to uncover the truth of Sandy Hook.

His final words to us:

“I cannot believe people sit back and they listen to the national media — that idiot box telling them what to believe. There’s nothing wrong in asking questions.”

UPDATE (March 19, 2014):

  1. A video on Halbig’s history of failed business efforts, either voluntarily or involuntarily dissolved. The latter can be due to simple inactivity or fraud. I don’t believe the video has made a compelling case that Halbig is a fraudster. Nor does this video negate or detract from the fact that Halbig has asked very good questions about Sandy Hook. That begin said, we should exercise caution and discernment in donating to his Sandy Hook investigation fund.

Sandy Hook: Adam Lanza shot himself in the back of his head

WARNING:

Some readers may find the subject of this post, on suicide via shooting oneself with a gun, to be gruesome and distressing. You are forewarned!

In the State of Connecticut’s final report on the Sandy Hook mass shooting, it is claimed that 20-year-old Adam Lanza shot and killed 26 individuals (20 first-grade students and 6 staff members) at Sandy Hook Elementary School in the space of 11 minutes.

Then, at 9:40:03 a.m., police heard a final shot, believed to be Lanza committing suicide by shooting himself in the lower rear portion of his head with a Glock 20SF handgun, in classroom 10. (See also Wikipedia)

From the Final Report’s “TimeLineRedacted pdf” A88, p. 5:

09:40:03 is still on the telephone with CSP and a second single gunshot is heard in the background. This is believed to be the final suicide shot from the shooter, who is in room 10, Ms. Soto’s room. (CSP Centralized Dispatch 911)

This account is troubling for several reasons:

1. That Lanza killed himself with a single shot to his head:

A discussion on a science forum says:

“But shooting yourself in the brain is a risky method of suicide since many people don’t shoot accurately and just wind up severely injuring themselves. ”

the brain can certainly survive a huge amount of injury

The human brain can sustain a surprising amount of damage (e,g., Google search Phineas Gage) without causing death. Although not instantaneous, a gunshot to any area of the cortex can cause death through excessive intracranial pressure arising from either brain swelling or edema. Abraham Lincoln lingered for several days as a result of the brain injury cause by a low-caliber bullet that didn’t exit his skull after being shot at close range from the back. Instantaneous death may only be caused by gunshots to the brain that also damage the brainstem, which regulates heart and lung function.”

There have been cases of people receiving 12 bullets in the brain without dying, and, as already mentioned, Phineas Gage, who had a tamping iron blasted into his head and through his brain without lethal effect.”

2. Why did Lanza choose the lower rear portion of his head to shoot?

A morbid website on suicide says “For those aiming at the head, the most popular site is the right temple (the left temple presumably being for left handers), second comes the mouth, followed by the forehead.”

And yet Lanza chose the lower back of his head.

Discussants on the science forum differ as to which is the most lethal part of the brain to shoot. One discussant claims it’s the T-area of the face: “My friend, who was a marine, says they are trained to ‘shoot the T’ as he called it. Sides of the T being the eyes, to the bridge of the nose, to the top of the mouth. Shooting these points straight on should cause instant death.”

Others says it’s the brain stem:

“The most lethal areas of the brain to shoot are the most evolutionarily primitive, since these are the areas which control the heart beat and respiration rather than thought. So to kill yourself most effectively, you need to shoot yourself at the base of the head in the back, rather than, as is traditional, into the side of the head.”

“The UK’s SAS aim to hit the Medulla Oblongata [the lowest part of the brain stem], which is the autonomic control centre…this consciously shuts down and physically immobilises the target as quickly as possible presumably bringing a speedy death.”

But the most troubling question is:

3. How does one shoot oneself in the lower rear portion of one’s head?

Here’s a pic of the Glock 20SF handgun that Adam Lanza allegedly used to kill himself with a single shot to the lower rear portion of his head:

The Glock 20SF is 8.03 inches long and 5.47 in. high.

I tried to simulate what Lanza allegedly did with a wooden 8″ long ruler, and can say that it sure ain’t easy pointing that to the lower rear portion of my head, then click to shoot.

But Lanza did that while in a state of great emotional agitation, after having killed 6 adults and 20 innocent and helpless 6-year-old little children, and knowing that the police are right outside the front door of the school.

I welcome thoughts and comments from readers with knowledge of handguns and shooting.

Sandy Hook Massacre: 14 never-before-seen photos

Adam & Nancy Lanza

Yesterday, State’s Attorney Stephen Sedensky released the long-awaited but not-a-full report* of the State of Connecticut’s investigation into the Sandy Hook massacre of December 14, 2012, wherein alleged shooter Adam Lanza killed 20 children and 6 adults in Sandy Hook Elementary School, after first shooting his 52-year-old mother Nancy 4 times in her face in their home at 36 Yogananda Street, Newtown, Connecticut .

Nancy Lanza had just returned from a 3-day “mini break” to Bretton Woods in New Hampshire, wherein she stayed at the Omni Mount Washington Resort, checking out at 12:27 pm on December 13. Nancy had left Adam alone in their $1.4 million mansion in Newtown, CT. Reportedly, these “mini-breaks” were something Nancy often took.

The state attorney’s report details every step Lanza allegedly took as he “shot his way” into the school building, as well as evidence seized from his possessions, including news about school shootings, a school shooting video game, and materials on pedophilia and rights of pedophiles. The report describes Lanza as having Asperger Syndrome: a type of autism characterized by restricted and repetitive patterns of behavior and interests; significant difficulties in social interaction and nonverbal communication; and reduced empathy. But the report offers no motive for his alleged killings.

Secrecy continues over Sandy Hook massacre

secrecy
Since it happened, the horrible massacre — of 20 children and 6 adults by alleged gunman Adam Lanza at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown Connecticut nearly a year ago on December 14, 2012 — has been shrouded in secrecy. Officials have refused to make public the following:

  • The 911 recording on the morning of December 14, 2012.
  • Autopsy results of the dead — Lanza and his 27 victims, including Lanza’s mother, Nancy, whom he had killed before he drove to the school that morning.
  • Death certificates of Lanza and his victims. Note that death and birth certificates are normally public record. Lanza’s death certificate is especially important because Social Security Death Index (SSDI) had his date of death as December 13, 2012, a day BEFORE the massacre.  SSDI later changed the date to December 14 only after bloggers had discovered the Dec. 13 date of death.
  • Mental health records, if any, of Adam Lanza.
  • Surveillance tape, if any, of the school’s newly-installed security and surveillance system.
  • Even the workers who recently tore down the school were sworn to confidentiality.

And it looks like officials are determined to continue to enshroud the massacre in secrecy.
The Associated Press reports, Nov. 24, 2013, that tomorrow, a prosecutor will release a report on the investigation into the massacre, but there’s one catch — the report will not be a full accounting of the crime. There will be no state police report, which is expected to total thousands of pages. It is not clear when the full report would be released.
Although alleged gunman Lanza allegedly took his own life, which means there will be neither a prosecution nor trial, Danbury State’s Attorney Stephen Sedensky III has gone to court to fight the release of 911 tapes and resisted calls from Governor Dan Malloy to divulge more information sooner.

In defense, investigators cited the scale of the criminal investigation and consideration for the “feelings” of victims’ families, some of whom have lobbied for tighter restrictions on public information and complained of being harassed by conspiracy theorists.
But Dan Klau, a Hartford attorney who specializes in First Amendment law, said the decision to release a summary report instead of the full evidence file is a reversal of standard practice and one of the most unusual elements of an investigation marked by secrecy.
Klau said, “What I found troubling about the approach of the state’s attorney is that from my perspective, he seems to have forgotten his job is to represent the state of Connecticut. His conduct in many instances has seemed more akin to an attorney in private practice representing Sandy Hook families.”
Sedensky said he could not comment.
So far, investigators have released little more than search warrants, which detailed an arsenal of weapons found inside the Lanza home. The information that authorities have not revealed includes the timeline of the police response to the shooting, any mental health records for Lanza and whether investigators found any clues to a possible motive for the rampage.
The withholding of 911 recordings, which are routinely released in other cases, has been the subject of a legal battle between The Associated Press and Sedensky before the state’s Freedom of Information Commission, which ruled in favor of the AP. A hearing is scheduled Monday in New Britain Superior Court on whether the judge can hear the recordings as he considers an appeal.
One argument raised by Sedensky is that if identities of 911 callers are released, they could be harassed by conspiracy theorists accusing them of being “crisis actors.”
Morgan Rueckert, an attorney representing 22 of the Sandy Hook victims’ families, said some families still receive harassing phone calls from conspiracy theorists, but they are also concerned by the amount of attention that’s been paid to the case and the ease with which records, once released, could be widely published and duplicated on the Internet. “I think it’s appropriate under these circumstances to take a harder look now at what should be released and in what manner,” Rueckert said.
A Connecticut law passed this year in response to the massacre creates exemptions to the freedom-of-information law for the release of photographs, film, video and other images depicting a homicide victim if those records constitute “an unwarranted invasion” on the privacy of the surviving family members.
But why would the release of Adam Lanza’s or Nancy Lanza’s autopsy report and death certificate “invade” the privacy or hurt the “feelings” of the victims’ families?
Have Sedensky and the victims’ families considered this:
By your insistence on non-disclosure, you are feeding precisely the “conspiracy theorists” you’re using to justify your secrecy.
Those who have nothing to hide do not fear the light.
