Sunday Funny! Cat herding

Electronic Data Systems (EDS) was a multinational information technology equipment and services company headquartered in Plano, Texas.

Founded in 1962 by Ross Perot, EDS became Hewlett Packard Enterprise Services when the company was acquired by Hewlett Packard in 2008. In 2017, the company merged with Computer Sciences Corporation to form DXC Technology.

In 1999-2000, the company made this amusing cat herders commercial for the XXXIV Super Bowl:

This was absolutely hysterical and I loved it! Very witty and the commercial drives its point home, too: “We make information go where you want.”

Yep, teaching for me was a lot like cat-herding!

Ditto for me Steven—and I’m still “there,” not retired yet. Teaching Middle School (any subject–I’ve done 3 different subjects so far) is like herding cats! BUT, maybe that’s why I’m still at it—I have my own real herd of cats at home and I’ve been “middling” successful through the years in “handling” them. 🙂 ( Except for “Big Girl” who is a lamb at home, but a wild tiger at the vets–so, if I call for an uncomplicated reason for her, they tell me to meet me at the entry door and give me the pills in the parking lot… Read more »

Funny. Someone once said, “Anyone who says you can’t herd cats never used a can opener”

All I have to do is shake the treat container and say… “Walter want a cookie? Dad hook the baby up!”… He flies through the house at about 900 miles an hour straight for the bedroom where the treats are. Julian has a sensitive stomach so he gets petted instead. They are my fur children and so much better than many of the humans I am related to…

Oh yeah, the treat bag never fails. I try not to use it too often. My cat(s) would eat the whole bag and then throw up. Cat “treats” are like McDonald’s for cats, junk food

Watertender . . . “They are my fur children and so much better than many of the humans I am related to …..’ boy oh! boy, can I ever relate to that! Cats certainly are much less trouble than many humans.

I love cats because their personality is unique, they are ego maniacs, once you understand them, they win you over -meowwwww.

Alma . . . I certainly do agree with that. The cat I currently have came to me on her own, as a starving little baby stray. It has taken years and years of dealing with her, to finally realize that she is safe and that nothing bad will happen to her. Now her personality really shines, and she is a joy to me.
