Sunday Devotional: Thanking God for Supreme Court Justice Kavanaugh

Isaiah 8:6-7, 10, 15, 17

Because this people has rejected
the waters of Shiloah that flow gently…
Therefore the Lord is bringing up against them
the waters of the River, great and mighty….
Form a plan, it shall be thwarted;
make a resolve, it shall not be carried out,
for “With us is God!”….
And many among them shall stumble;
fallen and broken;
snared and captured….
I will trust in the Lord….

Despite the Left’s plotting and scheming, malicious slander and unproven accusations, lies and deception, threats and intimidation, yesterday Brett Kavanaugh, a pro-life Christian, was confirmed and sworn in as the 114th Supreme Court justice.

Psalm 100

A psalm of thanksgiving.

Shout joyfully to the Lord, all you lands;
serve the Lord, with gladness;
come before Him with joyful song.
Know that the Lord, is God,
He made us, we belong to Him,
we are His people, the flock He shepherds.
Enter His gates with thanksgiving,
His courts with praise.
Give thanks to Him, bless His name;
good indeed is the Lord,
His mercy endures forever,
His faithfulness lasts through every generation.

And may the peace and love of Jesus Christ our Lord be with you!

It honestly brings a tear of joy and gratitude to my eye. ALL MY LIFE I’ve been seeing our politicians make our country worse and worse. Evil triumphs at every corner, it seems. Finally we are turning a corner ourselves. Finally our hearts are given hope that we can heal.

Now if only Christianity were to find some leaders to foment similar change in our nation, imagine what we could become.

I am very grateful that Brett Kavanaugh won appointment to the Nation’s top Court. It is yet more proof that everything Mr. Trump’s enemies try to do to bring him down blows up in their collective face! Yet this did come with a cost, and, regrettably, more costs seem certain to come, given the violent rhetoric of the Left (and the fact that George Soros is funding a good deal of the mayhem). So we cannot rest or let our guard down. The important thing, I think, of Mr. Kavanaugh’s appointment is that he seems ready to support Mr. Trump’s… Read more »

The real reason for being very concerned about Kavanaugh is that he was a George W. Bush hack and straight out of that swamp. From 2001 to 2003, he was associate White House counsel for then-President George W. Bush. He was instrumental in the creation of the Patriot Act. According to the Electronic Privacy Information Center (EPIC), which filed a Freedom of Information Act request for Kavanaugh’s official government correspondence records from the Bush era, the Supreme Court Justice nominee had referred to the PATRIOT Act as a “measured, careful, responsible and constitutional approach” Sorry the issue is not… Read more »
