Eye of God

Nicknamed the Eye of God, the Helix Nebula is a large planetary nebula located in the constellation Aquarius. Discovered sometime before 1824, this object is one of the closest to the Earth of all the bright planetary nebulae, a mere 700 light-years away.

Psalm 19

The heavens declare the glory of God;
the sky proclaims its builder’s craft.
One day to the next conveys that message;
one night to the next imparts that knowledge.
There is no word or sound;
no voice is heard;
Yet their report goes forth through all the earth,
their message, to the ends of the world.
God has pitched there a tent for the sun;
it comes forth like a bridegroom from his chamber,
and like an athlete joyfully runs its course.
From one end of the heavens it comes forth;
its course runs through to the other;
nothing escapes its heat.

The law of the Lord is perfect,
refreshing the soul.
The decree of the Lord is trustworthy,
giving wisdom to the simple.
The precepts of the Lord are right,
rejoicing the heart.
The command of the Lord is clear,
enlightening the eye.
The fear of the Lord is pure,
enduring forever.
The statutes of the Lord are true,
all of them just;
More desirable than gold,
than a hoard of purest gold,
Sweeter also than honey
or drippings from the comb.
By them your servant is instructed;
obeying them brings much reward.

Who can detect heedless failings?
Cleanse me from my unknown faults.
But from willful sins keep your servant;
let them never control me.
Then shall I be blameless,
innocent of grave sin.
Let the words of my mouth meet with your favor,
keep the thoughts of my heart before you,
Lord, my rock and my redeemer.

  1. The Lord’s timing is perfect and so is yours Dr. Eowyn.

    This came at a very dark hour for me.

    Have a blessed day and may His peace and love be on you and yours.

  2. Everyone forgets the most important thing in life when they should actually have that very thought always in the front of their mind, it is called praying. The Lord said, I will never leave you nor forsake you, but who actually takes notice of The Lord, for it is he who will help guide you if you are willing.

  3. I prayed for all of my Fellowship of the Minds friends at mass this morning. So many of you are going through trials. Our priest gave an excellent homily on the separation of church and state. He said that in the most important areas they intersect. That intersection occurs with morality. No law should be immoral. No law should go against natural law. He said decisions àren’t political they are moral decisions. He hit a home run with me! May our Lord be with us and guide us so that we are not admirers of Christ but followers and disciples.

  4. Amen.
