Stockholm hi-tech office implants microchips under tenants' skin

“And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand . . . he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb” -Revelation 14:9-10

Rory Cellan-Jones reports for BBC News, Jan. 29, 2015, that an implanted microchip is replacing keys at Epicenter, a new hi-tech office block in Stockholm, Sweden.
Epicenter describes itself as “Innovation with Impact”:

With 4,500 m2 of specially designed office space, we are creating an arena to attract dynamic innovators and entrepreneurs within the digital space. Our vision is to be a magnet for fast growing digital companies and cutting-edge creative corporate initiatives.

The microchip is a tiny RFID (radio-frequency identification) chip, about the size of a grain of rice, implanted under the skin of the hands of the office block’s tenants. Felicio de Costa, whose company is one of the tenants, arrives at the front door and holds his hand against it to gain entry. Inside he does the same thing to get into the office space he rents, and he can also wave his hand to operate the photocopier.
Soon, others among the 700 people expected to occupy the complex will also be offered the chance to be chipped. Along with access to doors and photocopiers, they’re promised further services in the longer run, including the ability to pay in the café with a touch of a hand.
On the day of the building’s official opening, the developer’s chief executive was, himself, chipped live on stage. The whole process is being organised by the Swedish Biohacking Group that recently was profiled by BBC’s Jane Wakefield in “The rise of the Swedish cyborgs.”
Hannes Sjoblad, whose electronic business card is on his own microchip and can be accessed with a swipe of a smartphone, has the title chief disruption officer at the development. Sjoblad said, “We already interact with technology all the time. Today it’s a bit messy – we need pin codes and passwords. Wouldn’t it be easy to just touch with your hand? That’s really intuitive.”
While some of the people around the building were looking forward to being chipped, others were distinctly dubious. One young man said “Absolutely not” to whether he’d sign up to be chipped. An older woman was more positive about the potential of the technology but saw little point in being chipped just to get through a door.
But Hannes Sjoblad says he and the Swedish Biohacking Group have another objective – preparing us all for the day when others want to chip us. “We want to be able to understand this technology before big corporates and big government come to us and say everyone should get chipped – the tax authority chip, the Google or Facebook chip.” Getting the microchip implanted, Sjoblad insists, will enable us to to question the way the technology is implemented from a position of much greater knowledge.
BBC reporter Rory Cellan-Jones offered himself as a guinea pig.
A “rather fearsome looking tattooist” inserted Cellan-Jones’ chip by first, massaging the skin between his thumb and index finger, then rubbing in some disinfectant. Cellan-Jones was told to take a deep breath while the chip was inserted. “There was a moment of pain – not much worse than any injection,” followed by the tattooist sticking a “plaster” (adhesive bandage) over the reporter’s hand.

Cellan-Jones concludes that “no doubt more sophisticated chips will soon replace wearable technology like fitness bands or payment devices, and we will get used to being augmented. All sorts of things are possible – whether it becomes culturally acceptable to insert technology beneath our skin is another matter.”

  1. They can put all the microchips in me they want.
    -After I’m dead.

  2. This sounds, to me, like Step One……

  3. “we will get used to being augmented” Frogs in a boiling pot of water…

  4. Wow, I can’t even tell you just how uncomfortable I am with this and yet, these people went into the darkness so easily.
    Conditioning 101.

    • Glenn . . . how very right you are. They seemingly follow the lead pig, in jumping over the cliff, without so much as the slightest hesitation. How is it that Swedes, who are somewhat know as being stubborn, not easily lead–now just knuckle under. Thank goodness, my great, great grandparents got the heck out of there and came to America.

  5. Read chapter 2 of Aldous Huxley’s “Brave New World,” written in 1931 and you will see how long this has been thought out. His grandfather, Thomas Huxley was a brilliant, self-taught scientist and a strong supporter of Darwin. A brother, Sir Julian Huxley, was the first Director of UNESCO and a eugenics. In Brave New World, some women were stylishly fashioned belts that contain contraceptive devices. The belts are called Malthusian belts, which should tell us a lot.

  6. Will this be a future marker of intelligence? “Intelligent people won’t allow themselves to be chipped.”

  7. Sorry for not checking the work of my secretary, “eugenics” should read “eugenicist” as any secretary should know. Beside that, she does not even get me coffee.

  8. follow the sheeple….NOT!….I’d rather follow Jesus. Those fools can keep their needles and implantable chips to themselves.

  9. Kill me now and I will never do this.

  10. It’s going to be interesting to see the response from the general public when Government requires everyone to get chipped, including newborns before they are allowed to leave the hospital. Forcing everyone to buy Obamacare was the first step. Soon they’ll probably begin offering the chip as a “convenience” so you don’t have to carry cash, credit cards, or keys. The sheep will get it right away because they have a death wish… but many will resist. Instead of forcing those who refuse to get chipped, they’ll use the power over banks provided by Dodd-Frank and stop producing credit cards, all while the Federal Reserve implements a program to begin phasing out the use of conventional paper currency, claiming that the counterfeiters are just too good and need to be stopped. So without cash or credit cards, you’re pretty much forced into getting chipped and the government never had to issue a single mandate. The majority of people will blame the banks and FED for their policy chances, and the white house will pretend to be sympathetic for the cameras while laughing about how easy it was.

    • I think you are spot-on with how the government and FedReserve will passively “enforce” compliance in the future. Even now, they are advertising apple pay…where people can simply swipe their cell phones to pay for things instead of using cash (of course, fees to the retailer apply, which means the fees are passed down to the consumer in the form of higher prices). Another step in the direction of RFID chip, less privacy, profit for corporations and banks.
I can also see Christian mothers who are wise to these new programs giving birth at home and at their babies’ first check up or a medical visit, the doctor will report them for not having the chip implanted in their baby. And the state threatens custody if the family does not comply…they take babies/children for far lesser issues.
I do wonder who will be exempt?

      • MomOfIV, your observations are intelligent, and certainly do ring true. Your query . . . “I do wonder who will be exempt?” is most interesting. I would imagine that the very wealthy would not want their offspring to be “chipped.” Nor would government leaders. Would people who claim “religious” exemption be allowed to refrain from having their children “chipped.” I have little doubt that the government will have their noses all up in everybody’s business over non-concent to having a family member receive a chip. The thought of this is rather chilling to me. I can’t imagine that there is any argument that could be brought up that would change my opinion on this.

        • Amen Aunti! I concur 100% I doubt those in power would want themselves or family to be chipped, so I think some kind of exemption(s) would probably be made. Considering how fewer people today are learning about and upholding their own Christian faith, I doubt a religious exemption would be up front in their minds, would they even understand the meaning of the mark of the beast? probably not.

  11. all of these twisted ideas come from evil beings. check posting on americannationalmilitia committee of 300-

  12. I gasp at the idea of how easy it would be for big brother to track you. But that is nothing compared to the wrath of God.

  13. And I’d bet if Mark Dice did a “man on the street” question about this, 99% of the people would say it’s a good idea. That’s how few folks read their Bibles and understand what’s really coming down the pike, and believe me, it’s not pretty, it is the epitome of evil.

  14. Thank you Dr. Eowyn for this interesting post. The Biblical prediction is amazing given the facts in your post.

  15. Just so damn creepy, I had my dogs done a few years ago and then felt a bit sick about it afterwards.

    • When I got the Dog I have now,I had her chipped just because she was a ranch dog and I wasn’t 100% sure she wouldn’t run off. Since then I’ve learned that yeah, she DOES run off,but she just runs around the block and comes right back. Just stayin’ fit,ya know. I’m out working on something and suddenly I notice she’s gone, and a couple of minutes later here she comes, running down the alley as fast as she can go,and skids to a stop right beside me. Makes me laugh just thinking about it. I don’t regret chipping her at all.

      • That’s funny. She’s probably out getting all the neighborhood gossip. 😊 I chipped mine in the event that they were lost too. I just hated that big needle in their neck, yuck! I’m a sissy with that type of thing. LOL.

  16. I’ve been aware of the RFID chips for many years. Most people knew about them, but few knew that Vincente Fox of Mexico required anyone working in his government to get them “for security reasons”. I can see banks and the government using convenience as an excuse to convince everyone to get chipped, but it’s more likely that they will use the security excuse to force it on those of us who refuse to do it. I believe that they will use any and every reason to force us into accepting it. Those of us who hold our ground will eventually find ourselves rounded up and locked away. I’ve had repeated dreams of concentration camps and there is credible evidence that the camps exist already. I was told of dozens of them back in the 90s; there are more now. Many will call us nutcases or conspiracy theorists or other names, but I call those people naive and uneducated. They want to force us all to get smartphones so they can keep track of us easier. In order to pressure those of us with dumb phones to make the change, they refuse to support the older phones. When they stop supporting my cellphone, I won’t have one anymore. Some of us don’t have $300 or more for a phone…
