1,000 Days Since the Democrat-Controlled Senate Has Passed a Budget

by Wynton Hall

President Barack Obama will deliver his fourth State of the Union address on Tuesday, January 24th–the very day that marks the 1,000th day since the Democrat-controlled United States Senate last bothered to pass a budget.

On Monday, the Ranking Republican of the Senate Budget Committee Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-AL) and the Chairman of the House Budget Committee Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI) released a joint statement blasting Democrats for their budgetary inaction and contrasting it with Republican efforts:

Senate Democrats abandoned their official duty to prioritize Americans’ hard-earned tax dollars and tackle our nation’s most pressing economic challenges—dealing a painful blow to fiscal progress that may be felt for some time.  This contrasts sharply with the record of the House Republicans. Last spring, the new House Majority publicly produced a budget plan before the nation, brought it forward in committee, and passed it on the floor. The budget’s principled solutions honestly confront our nation’s most difficult challenges, putting the budget on a path to balance and the country on a path to prosperity.

To mark the inauspicious 1,000-day anniversary, the Heritage Foundation released a series of budget facts and urged the Senate to meet its Constitution requirements for fiscal stewardship:

  1. They’ve been too busy looking for more bottomless ratholes to pour money into.

  2. When Democrats were a majority in the House of Representatives, they pulled the same stunt.

  3. “Throw Them All Out!” don’t worry they will all get speedy fair trials.

  4. Can you imagine a business operating this way? These people aren’t even cut out to manage a 7-11!

  5. Pointing fingers isn’t cutting the mustard. Every single person in Congress is guilty of allowing Obama to remain in office. There are countless reasons to impeach him, for violating the US Constitution many many times, and if he isn’t eligible to be president because of his inability to prove his Real Identity as well as being a Dual Citizen of the US and the United Kingdom, then since that disqualifies him from being president, then what is he doing in the White House. In either case, true patriots in congress who have the authority to take charge of this situation are curiously MIA, “missing in action”. Since this is obvious to most people then it shouldn’t come as too much of a surprise that there isn’t a budget. It’s like a headless chicken with a gaggle of other headless chickens. We need to tune into the mindset of the patriarchs who drew up the Constitution, and get on with being American. Stick to Alexander Hamiltonian economic policy, reinstate the Glass Steagall act and have Congress to utter credit as per Article 1 Section 8 for large infrastructure projects, which will not only put millions of people back to work, the projects that come to mind such as NAWAPA and refunding NASA to get a manned mission to Mars on track once more, will prepare us for the work that lies ahead to come to terms with the new weather conditions which are being produced by the activity of the sun amongst other galactic influences, to ensure that the research we need is being done to give us advance warning of the many natural disasters that are waiting to befall us. We must develop the Arctic and Antarctic regions to get at the resources we need badly to sustain life on this planet, and in dealing with these hard living conditions, prepare ourselves accordingly, to establish lunar colonies and on other planets, so we can respond adequately to the Extraterrestial Imperative to explore and inhabit our Universe. We will not inspire the upcoming generations by promising them a new gadget or hours of “fun” on twitter.. These toys and tweeting are tired already and are not providing people with meaningful employment, decent civilized living conditions, a better education or proper healthcare. They are just like candy, that rots your teeth and give you a short lived sugar high. Come on everyone, altogerher now, REINSTATE GLASS STEAGALL, UTTER CREDIT THROUGH A NEW NATIONAL BANK, START TO GET PEOPLE BACK TO WORK, JOIN WITH RUSSIA AND CHINA TO CREATE A SPACE PROGRAM THAT WILL TAKE US INTO THE FUTURE AND BEYOND. Be what God intended for us to be and take responsibility for the survival of the human species through developing new efficient energy sources, nuclear fission and fusion, and evolve as people, not becoming less like an ape, but more like the image of God that we were created in.
