In 2009, Obama made his first visit as President to a Muslim country, Turkey. There, the POS declared that “we [America] do not consider ourselves a Christian nation or a Jewish nation or a Muslim nation.”
USA Today recently republished the PEW Research Center’s extensive survey on religion in America. Here’s a screen shot I took of the interactive “Topography of Faith”:
Here’s a breakdown of the percentage of Americans of various faiths:
79.5% of Americans, or 8 out of every 10 Americans, identify ourselves as Christians. And yet the majority of the delegates in the just-concluded 2012 Democratic National Convention three times denied God by shouting against the reinsertion of the word “God” into the Democratic Party’s platform.
Only 1% of Americans are Muslims. And yet Muslims wield grossly disproportionate and increasing power in this country. See, for example, Terry’s post on a Muslim woman suing Disney, my post on Dearborn police standing by, watching Christians being stoned by a Muslim mob, Dave’s post on the U.S. Dept of Defense caving in to CAIR, and Tom in NC’s post on 8 of 10 mosques in America promote Jihad.
