Religions in America: 80% Christian

In 2009, Obama made his first visit as President to a Muslim country, Turkey. There, the POS declared that “we [America] do not consider ourselves a Christian nation or a Jewish nation or a Muslim nation.”

USA Today recently republished the PEW Research Center’s extensive survey on religion in America. Here’s a screen shot I took of the interactive “Topography of Faith”:

Go to the USA Today site to use the interactive map (by putting your cursor on any spot on the map), or directly to PEW’s site for details.

Here’s a breakdown of the percentage of Americans of various faiths:

79.5% of Americans, or 8 out of every 10 Americans, identify ourselves as Christians. And yet the majority of the delegates in the just-concluded 2012 Democratic National Convention three times denied God by shouting against the reinsertion of the word “God” into the Democratic Party’s platform.

Only 1% of Americans are Muslims. And yet Muslims wield grossly disproportionate and increasing power in this country. See, for example, Terry’s post on a Muslim woman suing Disney, my post on Dearborn police standing by, watching Christians being stoned by a Muslim mob, Dave’s post on the U.S. Dept of Defense caving in to CAIR, and Tom in NC’s post on 8 of 10 mosques in America promote Jihad.

Way to much money is being given to Islamic organizations in the United States by the Saudi Royal Family. This is not a guess.

For me, what this all-too-clearly shows is that as a nation the USofA is attempting to be all things to all people. For whatever reason[s], the POTUS and other high positions that represent the entire nation too often outdo the sentiments expressed in the legend that accompanies the Statue of Liberty. A nation that is all things to all people will first lose its way in the community of nations, and then be in danger of being nothing for anyone. The Declaration of Independence and the Constitution w/its Bill of Rights established an identity that is clearly and firmly stated.… Read more »

Obama,… is what is wrong with this picture! Allowing this abuse of power in our White House to continue…is our problem and we will remedy it once and for all this November!

Thank you Dr. Eowyn for this important post reflecting that hands down, we are a Christian nation. Therefore, we must vote as Jesus would expect us to vote. We must vote for life, not death. We must vote against the Democratic Party, and we must vote against a president who acts like a king, who proclaims that there is no problem in the killing and murdering of babies up to the minute of their birth! Vote for Romney-Ryan!!!! They will protect the sanctity of all life, from conception to death, and will begin to repair our horrible economy that is… Read more »

The way I see it, we are being run by a secret and Satanic cabal who wants the Anti-Christ to appear. Paul Warburg, Feb. 9, 1950: “We are waiting for a leader, be he good or evil. And when he appears, we will follow him.”
The feelers for the Great Tribulation are being sent out now. This is their “research.” They are out to Alinsky us! We are being isolated, personalized and demonized, albeit in slow motion.
We’re about to find out just how truly Christian we really are.

Many Americans believe that 25% of the people in this country are gay, even though it is actually less than 3%.

Apparently they also believe there are far more camel-washers here than there actually is.

I blame disproportionate media coverage in both cases.

-Along with the gullible sheeple that seem to be popping up like mushrooms in this country.

Jesus never “voted”, nor allowed His disciples a vote on matters… He was all about The Kingdom…….
