Race car driver lectures us about going vegan to “save the planet”

This is not from The Onion.

About this race car driver, from Wikipedia:

“Lewis Carl Davidson Hamilton MBE HonFREng (born 7 January 1985) is a British racing driver who races in Formula One for Mercedes-AMG Petronas Motorsport. A five-time Formula One World Champion, he is often considered the best driver of his generation and widely regarded as one of the greatest drivers in the history of the sport.”

He races carbon-spewing cars for a living. Freaking hypocrite!

From Sky News: Adopting a vegan diet is the “only way to truly save our planet”, Lewis Hamilton has said.

In a thoughtful post on Instagram (which I believe he has maybe deleted since I couldn’t locate the post), the F1 star described the world as a “messed up place” with leaders who are “either uneducated or don’t care about the environment at all”.

Going vegan “can be done so quickly”, he said, adding: “All you have to do is put your mind to it.”

Addressing the future of the Earth, he said human extinction is becoming “more and more likely as we overuse our resources”.

The 34-year-old, who sold his private jet earlier this year, said that “agriculture farming” was the biggest pollutant, and “far more than our travel industry combined”.

His car collection is said to include two Ferraris, a McLaren, a Pagani Zonda and several types of Mercedes. There are a few motorbikes too.

Hamilton said a flourishing meat and dairy industry led to “deforestation, animal cruelty”, and “our seas and climate decaying on a daily basis”.

The ace driver continued: “We were taught that eating animal products was good for us but we’ve been lied to for hundreds of years.”

The star, who is currently trying to secure a sixth Formula 1 Drivers’ Championship, said he was sad that “so many people, even close friends, ignore what is happening daily”.

Hamilton said it had taken him “32 years to understand the impact I am having on the world and I’m figuring out daily what I can do to play a better part“.

He continued: “I want my life to mean something and honestly up until now my life’s had no meaning. Being a part of the issue is not meaningful. Being part of the solution is and I’m striving to do better. I urge you to do some research.

Funny; I was just watching a program explaining how the elimination of the top predators in any ecosystem destroyed whole environments.

Where I used to live the local wildlife management agency embarked on a coyote eradication program. The rodent population then exploded

Ok, British and Vegan, a@@hole and ignorant, sporting a “kinky” beard -this idiot is killing the environment by burning the rubber on his tires, hurts the air by burning gas each and every time he hits the pedal and spins his Mercedes on the tracks. We are carnivores, vegetarians [those] live in India and practice Hinduism and are sickly looking. I’m sure this useful creep doesn’t practice what he preaches.

If agriculture farming is detrimental……..where are the plants going to come from to feed everybody? Didn’t think that through, did he?

Since I follow F1, I’m familiar with Lewis Hamilton and his decision to go vegan. I didn’t know he sold his private jet though; I’ll have more to say about that later… Before I comment further, let me say I’m not a Hamilton fan. I don’t dislike him, nor do I root against him. Conversely, I don’t dislike him, either. I don’t care for his tattoos and corn rows. It’s his body, his life; he can do what he likes with both. I don’t care for that, and I think he sets a bad example to ordinary people. Hamilton is… Read more »

I am opposed in principle to factory farming because of the commodification and subsequent cruelty to the animals involved, as well as the contamination of meat with residues from antibiotics and syntheic growth hormones. That applies to GMO “frankenfood” also. But going vegan, unless you do it right, leads to malnutrition and chronic disease conditions. And it has nothing whatsoever to do with “saving the planet”. This guy is apparently the best of the best at what he does, car racing. He should stick to what he knows and do a lot more research before running his mouth again

The real Threat to the world are these HUMANIST EARTH WORSHIPING PAGANS!!!
Their quest to become good moral citizens is to make up for their rejection of God.
They loath God because they love their sin!!! They espouse this earth worshiping religion to make themselves look moral.
Yet they are nothing more than reprobate demons …FOOLS!!!!!
