Pulse of America

Here’s a current snapshot of what the American people are thinking — all from Rasmussen Reports:
A majority (56%) of likely U.S. voters nationwide favor repeal of Obamacare, while 41% are opposed. Those figures include 48% who Strongly Favor repeal and 29% who Strongly Oppose it.
Americans are not buying Obama’s lie that he lowered our taxes. 46% of voters expect their own taxes to go up during the Obama administration. Just 12% expect their taxes to go down.
About Obama’s latest proposal that a Value Added Tax (i.e., a national sales tax) “may be an option,” 37% of voters nationwide favor a national sales tax if the money is used to pay for health care for all Americans, but 51% oppose that idea.
Only 11% of U.S. voters say Congress is doing a good or an excellent job.
Following the passage of Obamacare into law, only 29% of U.S. voters say that, over the past year, Congress has passed legislation that will significantly improve life in America
60% of U.S. adults nationwide say that capitalism is better than socialism; 18% disagree; 21% are not sure. When asked whether they approve of the free-market economy (instead of “capitalism”), 77% of Americans say they prefer a free market economy rather than a government managed economy. Among adults under 30, Republicans and unaffiliated voters overwhelmingly say that capitalism is better, whereas just 43% of Democrats agree, with 24% of Democrats saying socialism is better.
Looks like we’re a nation of “anti-government extremists.” The commie Anti-Defamation League will not be happy campers about these polling data! LOL

  1. Let’s erase the last 60+ years and start again!

    • The problem is: what do we do with people like Bertha Lewis…and Obama…who hate what America was and despise the Constitution? How can we co-exist with them? They are already here. We can’t erase the last 60+ years unless we confront this problem.
I truly believe our conceptions of America go beyond the “normal” differences within a democratic society. They are irreconcilable. And I truly don’t know what to do about it other than separation.

  2. Eowyn,
I just cannot understand why you think we who want freedom and the ability to actually work and earn our way would want to separate from those who enjoy slavery and prefer to sit on a corner and die waiting for their government entitlement. I am simply appalled. If I had the money I’d start my own blog and fight you on this. I do not believe separation is the answer at all. I’m for total elimination of anyone who would destroy the American ideology. Our founders did not establish the constitution just to have some illegal immigrant and his worthless deadbeat followers destroy it. I say get some boats and send them on their way, the leader back to Kenya and the rest–just give them one day supply of water and a pice of bread.

  3. Eowyn,
I hope you realize I’m just joking.
