Just Warm Enough for Golf, Obama Back on the Course

Via ABC News, President Obama just could not wait for spring weather to arrive. For the second week in a row, the most powerful man in the world stepped away from the White House to hit the golf course. Even as his administration and the U.S. military help Japan recover from a devastating earthquake, and as the world worries about Fukushima’s nuclear reactor, the president could not resist taking advantage of the 48-degree weather in the Washington, D.C., area.
With cloudy skies, it’s not the best weather for golf, but Obama loves to spend his Saturdays on the greens. Last fall, Obama went golfing darn near every weekend.
Bush was hammered incessantly for his golfing during the middle of the Iraq war.  I understand the President needs a little R&R yet with the tragedy in Japan, a possible nuclear meltdown, and chaos in Libya, you’d think Obama could give up the golf for one Saturday and focus on the priorities of our nation and world.

  1. Who was it who called Obama the absentee preseident? wish I could remember. But even when he is talking on tv , he’s doesn’t really seem engaged.

  2. Oh, and this evening Obama will be partying w/reporters at the annual Gridiron Club dinner:

“This will be the first time Obama has appeared at the event. Last year, former President Bill Clinton stood in for the president who was preparing for a probable House vote on health care reform. Obama, however, did speak to the dinner via videotape. Vice President Joe Biden represented Obama in 2009.”

  3. There is a total double-standard in the MSM for what is considered acceptable behavior of a President. Obama and his declasse bride are always doing the wrong thing and never have any heat for it. It’s Time For Change: AR2!

  4. How hard could it be being this president? He only reads what is written for him from a teleprompter and signs into law the bills he’s told to from handlers.
I guess those two things could be somewhat difficult, but on the bright side… every day out of the office is one less day of destroying the republic.
Is it 2012 yet? Bush had his own problems, but seriously… can someone wake me up from this latest walking nightmare in the White House?

  5. As I noted elsewhere earlier,
It’s time they took little Barry’s clubs away from him.
