Prayers Needed – for Our Beloved LTG

UPDATE (Sept. 21):

I have good news!!!!!
Grannie saw the orthopedic surgeon this morning. She doesn’t need surgery! Praise be to the most loving God….
She has a cast on her left leg up to her hip and is on pain meds. The cast will stay on for probably 6 to 8 weeks.
Grannie thanks all of you who’ve been praying for her. Please keep her in your prayers — for a quick recovery.  🙂

I just received awful news.
Last night, Fellowship of the Minds’ wonderful writer LowTechGrannie had an accident at home. She fell through her bathroom floor.
Her bathroom floor is being remodeled. But, in the middle of the night and in the dark, Grannie forgot that the floor had been removed.
She broke her left leg below the knee and has a huge gash in her right leg.
She managed to hoist herself up from the hole in the floor and was taken by ambulance to Emergency Room that night, where that nasty gash was stitched up, X-rays taken, and pain meds dispensed.
She sustained a fracture, called a tibial plateau, in her left leg below the knee. Grannie will know from the orthopedic surgeon on Wednesday morning if the fracture requires surgery.
Please pray for our friend — that she’ll receive proper medical care and that she’ll make a fast recovery.
I suggest we be very specific in our prayers. Please pray that the fracture be the kind that’ll heal itself, without surgery!
May our Lord, Jesus Christ, who is unimaginably, infinitely loving and merciful, hold our dear LTG in the protection and peace of His hands.

Good. I hope the bitch gets septic and dies a horrid death. One less conservative bastard to deal with before the upcoming civil war.

Grannie, I don’t know the extent of you injuries beyond what Eowyn told us and while I am not a surgeon, I have been in the OR for these type of procedures. I pray that your surgery and recovery is successful, uncomplicated and timely.

“You also help put the lie to the idea that liberals are compassionate human beings.”
I’m not a liberal, I’m a communist who HATES you and HATES this country… I’ll let you in on a little secret — I won’t be anywhere to be seen when civil war hits … I look like a good ole white christian and I’ll pretend to be one. I’ll infiltrate your side and hit you where it hurts most…. You will look worse than ground beef — you’ll look like the jews did in the concentration camps circa 1943…. (incinerated)

Thank God it wasn’t worse. It could have been. Prayers and good thoughts to you, Grannie. Many blessings, too.

That would be a fracture of the tibial plateau. If you would compare it to a chicken bone…it is the calcified/collagen process on the end, better known as the growth plateau. It shouldn’t require surgery because of her age but may require some cleaning up with an arthroscope. I had the same thing. It fractured right behind the knee cap. Hang in there granny. They just may wrap your leg in an ace bandage, tell you not to bear any weight on it for 6 to 8 weeks. They didn’t cast mine because of my age. As it was, when… Read more »

Eewwouch! 🙁 Prayers for a quick recovery and comfort. Will stay in prayer regarding “NO” surgery needed.
The good Lord is still in the miracle business. May He shine His face upon you LTG, and touch you with His merciful grace of healing!

Dear LTG,
My prayers are with you. I am praying that you will find healing. I am praying that your surgeon will have the Lord’s guidance. I pray that you will not suffer and will regain strength. As you recuperate I pray that your beautiful photography and musical interludes will bring you comfort.

Halleluyah Lord Jesus, I stand with Fellowship of the Minds and decree and declare that Grannie will be healed through the healing virtue of the LORD most high, Jehovah Rophe, God is our great physician, who never loses a case. I decree that she will recover supernaturally from her fall’s injuries and that she will give the LORD God all the glory. In the matchless name of Jesus Christ I pray, Amen. Thank you LORD for your great greatness and your awesome power, thank you for all you do for us and for your great love and your death on… Read more »

Thank you, Dr. Eowyn, for telling us about our Grannie. Dr. Eowyn, you are truly a wonderful, caring, loving and brilliant lady whom I am honored to have as my Sister! You take care of all of us and God be praised for you! I have this moment offered my suffering today to Our Lord, joining this suffering to Him as imperfect as it is, through Our Lady, the Blessed Mother of Jesus, for the healing of Grannie. In our Catholic Faith, we acknowledge this as redemptive suffering. I feel for her since both of my knees have been replaced… Read more »

Wow, I just saw the venom spewing from tbm. That’s one little sucker that’s going straight to hell. I don’t care what you think about anyone’s politics, wishing injury and illness on anyone like that is just evil. There’s no justification for attitudes like that. It’s just plain evil.

I believe the best and most noble way to deal with tbm is to pray for him. This morning I prayed for him and of course, Grannie. It is not my desire to be sanctimonious, but love is the only way to truly fight evil. Love is effected by stating the Truth and by prayer. Dr. Eowyn is constantly stating the Truth which is disclosure and transparency, the antithesis and enemy of evil. It is a heavy burden for her. And Traci, I understand your comments. However, I pray for tbm’s conversion to Our Lord. Jesus, in His Divine Mercy,… Read more »

Thank you, Dr. Eowyn, for updating us about Grannie. I am so grateful that she does not have to go through the nightmare of knee surgery. May Our Lord be praised! And Traci, thank you so much for what you said! Prayer is so powerful, and if we all pray for tbm, he will use his good judgment, for I have faith in him and he will listen to Our Lord! And then hence, the bitterness and anger, like splinters, will be removed from his soul!

There’s always a nay sayer that wants to see people down and out.
Whose report do you believe. I will believe the report of the LORD.

Alice Wolf

The Report of the LORD. God to me. His report says we are healed , his report says we are filled. With the Holy Ghost. His report says we are free, his report says VICTORY. It’s a song we sing in the church, and I guess the report means that the battle belongs to the Lord, and he is the winner. He has triumphed over death and the grave. You know, the plan of Salvation, the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Sort of old fashioned, but it’s all about the blood, the blood of the Lamb Slain before the Foundation of… Read more »
