Please pray for Dave

Rate this post

Tomorrow, Dave, one of FOTM’s team of writers, will be in the hospital for (hopefully) the last of his surgeries on his foot.

He has been plagued with that for months now, with repeated hospital stays.

Please say a prayer for him — that all goes well, and that he heals quickly.

Thank you.

  3. Good luck Dave. Prayers.

  4. Best wishes for you Dave;hope your stay is short and your recovery is quick. Can they get you some internet there? When I was in with pneumonia last time I got the Nurses on my floor pretty well trained. (LOL) I’m sure you’ll get similar results.

  5. Yesterday best wishes for a speedy recovery I’m a great fan of this website but I’ve never posted before I’d like to post this to cheer Dave up it’s a parody of when I’m 64

    Parody on When I’m 64

When I get older and can’t climb the stairs ,

Will you milk our cow 🐮,

Will I still be able to really swig the wine 🍷

And hang your dirty wahing on the Siegfried Line

When I get drunk at a quarter to four , will you still scratch my back

Will you still love me, and promise not to mug me, when I’m 64

Doing your Lotto , will it drive me potto,

When my brain 🧠 is gone

Will you still be servicing my Zimmer frame

And help me roller skating down Election Lane

Washing my pyjamas, and cleaning out the llamas

Who will feed our pigs 🐷

    Will you still need me

    Will you still feed me

Will you still by me cigs

Send me a kiss of Life

    And keep on singing Edelweiss

When I’ve lost all my hair

Will you still agree to reality wash my bum

And keep my hearing aid in with your chewing gum

Will you still chew my food

    This is getting very rude

    Will you agree to
    Not have me cremated

    Will you still love me

Will you come and shove me

    When I’m 64

    God Bless you All

    And you Dr Eowyn

  11. Well, I finally was able to get back in here, but it wasn’t easy.

I have three different pooters I use on this site – along with a couple of other sites I frequent, and for some strange reason, I couldn’t get the three formats to gell.

LOL – After quite a few trials, and not a few errors, I finally corrected the problem – although I’m not exactly sure what I did that finally worked other than I stopped allowing the three machines to sync temporarily.

My computer security measures are somewhat intricate, and most “fixes” that work for others rarely work for me, so I have to get a little unorthodox in my solutions.

Thank you all for your prayers, support, and well wishes, as these last couple of years have been a bit trying, to say the least.

I have kind of stayed away from serious posts during this time, as I am somewhat emotional and, as I have learned the hard way, stress is a definite impediment to physical healing.

I will let you all know how things go as soon as I am able.

  13. Praying for you here and for a swift recovery. Remember, when the two sets of footprints in the sand become one set of footprints, it means that Jesus is carrying you. God bless.

  14. Just got this email from Dave:

“Well, I survived my surgery on Friday.

The pain meds wore off last night, but the antibiotics I am taking are pretty harsh, and I have done little more than sleep since I got home Friday evening.

My blood sugar went way down, too, which is a good thing, as it was running pretty high before the surgery. Hopefully it means I don’t have another bone infection, but I won’t know until the test results come out later in the week. I have a post-op visit with my podiatrist later this week, so I’ll let you all know how that goes. All I am doing is sleeping, mostly – which is probably a good thing as I didn’t sleep much in the days leading up to the surgery.

Thanks for everyone’s prayers and well-wishes, as I really do believe it makes a difference.”

  15. Continued prayers through to a complete and healthy recovery Dave! So glad the surgery is over….now on to recovered good health!
