Here is Nancy Pelosi March 24, 2011:
“Acting upon the United Nations Security Council’s resolution to use ‘all measures necessary’ to protect the Libyan people and the Arab League’s call for a no-fly-zone,” Pelosi wrote, “the United States joined the international community in preventing an imminent humanitarian crisis in Libya.
“Actions taken by the international community have already prevented Qaddafi from implementing his threat to ‘show no mercy’ to his own people, including those living in the city of Benghazi.”
And here she is October 10, 2002:
Another cost in addition to human lives, costs to terrorism, costs to our economy, another cost is to our budget. This cost can be unlimited, unlimited. There is no political solution on the ground in Iraq. Let’s not be fooled by that. So when we go in, the occupation, which is now being called liberation, could be interminable, and so could the amount of money, unlimited, that it will cost — one hundred, two hundred billion dollars. We’ll pay any price to protect the American people, but is this the right way to go?
Several MSM outlets have covered her Libya endorsement. None of them noted the hypocrisy.
Being a progressive means never having to account for what you said yesterday.
