About 2 months ago, an American bought a copy of the U. S. Constitution from Amazon. Upon receiving his purchase, he was shocked by a disclaimer from the publisher inside the book:
“This book is a product of its time and does not reflect the same values as it would if it were written today. Parents might wish to discuss with their children how views on race, gender, sexuality, ethnicity, and interpersonal relations have changed since this book was written before allowing them to read this classic work.”
The good American scanned the book’s cover and the disclaimer for the blog, I Own the World:
Here is the book’s page on Amazon.com. If you read the reviews, you can see other readers have verified this and are surprised/shocked/angered too. Why does Amazon still use A&D Publishing/Wilder Publications if their product is defective and biased? You might want to ask them.
Or you’d like to write a letter to the publishers:
- A & D Publishing
PO Box 3005
- or contact: Wilder Publications
At a minimum, do not buy this book from amazon! Please alert others about this and urge them also to boycott A&D/Wilder’s PC version of our Constitution!
