Oprah Demands Respect!

You Will Obey!

Over at Politico, Oprah called on President Obama’s critics on Friday to “show some level of respect.” “I feel that everybody has a learning curve, and I feel that the reason why I was willing to step out for him was because I believed in his integrity and I believed in his heart,” the influential TV host said on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” in Chicago.
Um, where was Oprah during all the Bush bashing over his terms? I googled “Oprah and Bush Bashing” and all I could find was “Emotional Bush defends legacy on Oprah“.
And I’m not buying the “learning curve” baloney either.  President Obama wasn’t qualified from day one. And I thought Joe Biden’s foreign policy credentials were suppose to enhance this administration? Doesn’t seem to have made any contribution at all in dealing with Egypt.

  1. Mad Angel is on FB

She may have a big following in SOME circles, but I’ve only watched her a few times- and I was at someone else’s house…..
I hate talk shows….I don’t think they deserve ANY respect….and those that do like them, are stupid enough to like Obummer as well

  2. Respect can never be demanded. Respect can only be earned.
Just because Oprah has delusions of queenship, that doesn’t mean red-blooded Americans will just meekly obey. Our Founding Fathers didn’t fight a revolution to overthrow the antiquated rule by royalty for a new republic of ba-ba sheep.
There are more Oprah non-watchers (such as myself) than watchers, and the last I heard, the number of viewers of her pretentious OWN TV network is sinking, sinking, sinking….

  3. The stakes are too high for a president to learn on the job. That’s why we were so worried about Obama’s experience in the first place.
Oprah should advise our soldiers in Afghanistan as to exactly when the learning curve will be overcome.

  4. I’m with CM & Eowyn. Learning curves are for students and office workers.
Respect can only be earned. Affirmative action presidents need to be discontinued (like the Ford Pinto).

  5. I learned very early on in my 22 year military career that respect can only be earned, never expected nor demanded…
The only respect I’ll show the hack squatting in the White House is a one-finger-salute, then turn my back to him as he departs the building (preferably in hand-cuffs).
In case anyone’s wondering… I hold the same regards to the previous administration also.

  6. send Oprah and Obama to the mideast and let them earn respect. I have never watched a complete episode of the Oprah show… the only show i remember is the one when she had a group of american nazi’s and they started fighting and throwing chairs etc.
