Obama Sucks At Foreign Policy Too

It wasn’t that long ago that the world was swooning at The One’s feet:

July 24, 2008, Berlin

How times have changed. The world’s infatuation has cooled; they too finally woke up from their trance. Below is an e-mail forwarded to me by beloved fellow May, followed by an op/ed by an editor of the UK’s Telegraph.
~Eowyn

One of the most poorly kept secrets in Washington is Barack Hussein Obama’s animosity toward Great Britain, presumably because of what he regards as its sins while ruling Kenya (1895-1963) — Obama Sr. and, some say, also Jr.’s birthplace.
One of Obama’s first acts as president was to return to Britain a bust of Winston Churchill that had graced the Oval Office since 9/11.  He followed this up by denying Prime Minister Gordon Brown, on his first state visit, the usual joint press conference with flags. The president was “too tired” to grant the leader of America ‘s closest ally a proper welcome, his aides told British journalists.
Obama followed this up with cheesy gifts for Brown and the Queen. Columnist Ian Martin described his behavior as “rudeness personified.” There was more rudeness in store for Brown at the opening session of the United Nations in September. “The prime minister was forced to dash through the kitchens of the UN in New York to secure five minutes of face time with President Obama after five requests for a sit down meeting were rejected by the White House,” reported London Telegraph columnist David Hughes.  Obama’s “churlishness is unforgivable,” Hughes said.
Then the Obama administration went beyond snubs and slights when Secretary of State Hillary Clinton endorsed the demand of Argentine President Cristina Kirchner, a Hugo Chavez ally, for mediation of Argentina’s specious claim to the Falkland Islands, a British dependency since 1833. The people who live in the Falklands speak English and want nothing to do with Argentina. When, in 1982, an earlier Argentine dictatorship tried to seize the Falklands by force, the British — with strong support from President Ronald Reagan — expelled them.
“It is truly shocking that Barack Obama has decided to disregard our shared history,” wrote Telegraph columnist Toby Young. “Does Britain’s friendship really mean so little to him?” One could ask, does the friendship of anyone in the entire world mean anything to him?
“I recently asked several senior administration officials, separately, to name a foreign leader with whom Barack Obama has forged a strong personal relationship during his first year in office,” wrote Jackson Diehl, deputy editorial page editor of the Washington Post. “A lot of hemming and hawing ensued.” One official named French President Nicolas Sarkozy, but his contempt for Mr. Obama is an open secret. Another named German Chancellor Angela Merkel. But, said Mr. Diehl, “Merkel too has been conspicuously cool toward Obama.”
Obama certainly doesn’t care about the Poles and Czechs, whom he has betrayed on missile defense. Honduras and Israel also can attest that he’s been an unreliable ally and an unfaithful friend.  Ironically, our relations with both Israel and the Palestinian Authority have never been worse. Russia has offered nothing in exchange for Obama’s abandonment of missile defense. Russia and China won’t support serious sanctions on Iran. Syria ‘s support for terrorism has not diminished despite efforts to normalize diplomatic relations. The reclusive military dictatorship that runs Burma has responded to our efforts at “engagement” by deepening its ties to North Korea .
And the Chinese make little effort to disguise their contempt for him.
For the first time in a long time, the President of the United States is actually distrusted by its allies and not in the least feared by its adversaries. Nor is Obama now respected by the majority of Americans. Understandably focused on the dismal economy and Obama’s relentless efforts to nationalize and socialize health care, Americans apparently have yet to notice his dismal performance and lack of respect in the world community. They soon will.

Barack Obama has made me want to boycott America
By Alex Singleton – UK Daily Telegraph – March 11, 2010
The special relationship is over. We gave America years of unwavering support after September 11. And now we see how Barack Obama’s administration repays us.
First, Obama declared that America was “neutral” over the sovereignty of the Falklands, ignoring the clear wishes of the islands’ population. And, second, his Assistant Secretary of State, Philip Crowley, snubbed Britain by failing to use their proper name and instead calling them the “Malvinas”.
I don’t know where Obama learned about diplomacy, but his stinks. I’m normally pro-American, but Mr Obama’s seeming support for Argentinian aggressors, who have no legitimate claim over the Falklands, is gratuitously offensive. So from today, I’m boycotting America as a tourist destination. This summer, I’ll be going to France, not California.
Let me be clear: I’m not normally in favour of boycotts, and I love the American people.  I holiday in their country regularly, and hate the tedious snobby sneers against the United States. But the American people chose to elect an idiot who seems hell bent on insulting their allies, and something must be done to stop Obama’s reckless foreign policy, before he does the dirty on his allies on every issue.
If our American friends want to stop Obama shredding the respect the rest of the planet has towards America, they need to stop Obama’s destructive policies – and fast.

Did you notice the date on the article? March 11, last spring, and it’s only deteriorated since then. The ilk in charge at the moment are lacking in respect and honor; difficult to practice something you don’t comprehend.
Hang in there, dear friends, America is waking up, and please God we’ll restore our good name, sooner rather than later.

the crowd in berlin was for a rock band that took stage immediately after odumbo left…. the crowd was not for the pretender in chief but rather a propaganda pic. similar propaganda pics of odumbo where also taken in afghanistan where the handful of black troops on hand where crowded together to make it look like there was a large crowd when in effect the gym was almost empty.. the pic is in the rense.com archives

It is/was the majority of the LAZY people that elected Obama in. “I” am not one of them. “I” cannot stand this chief usurper and I have a friend in Kenya that says emphatically that he was born there. Even though I cannot stand the man, we must also consider the elite that is pulling all the strings in every country in the whole world. You know the ones…those who want the New World Order. The Zionists such as Rothchild and Rockefeller. Those behind the federal reserve which is not federal but global banking. I think the only ones that… Read more »

I noticed his total ineptitude on every front. Thanks to this web page I now have a place to say, I am not impressed. I hope Americas friends and allies will be patient with us through the process of voting him out.

What were we thinking in 2008????? I never heard this interview, did you? This is old, but you may have missed it. The man told us straight up what he was planning to do and nobody listened. From Sunday’s 07 Sept. 2008 11:48:04 EST, Televised “Meet the Press” THE THEN Senator Obama was asked about his stance on the American Flag. General Bill Ginn’ USAF (ret.) asked Obama to explain… Read more »

So the important world leaders despise Obama and the American people are learning who he is and what he represents! This is a very revealing article! Micro, the interview is absolutely amazing! How could anyone be more stupid!
