Obama Is a Commie Billboard

Jeff Hullinger of Atlanta, Georgia TV station 11Alive reports on July 7, 2010 that a GOP candidate for Congress in Georgia’s 7th District has placed two billboards with the Communist hammer-and-sickle symbol afflixed to Obama’s name. One billboard is above I-85 in Gwinnett County; the other is along Peachtree Industrial Blvd. in Duluth, GA.
Dr. Jody Hice, a radio minister, is competing against 7 other GOP candidates and one Democrat in the upcoming July 20th primary. Hice said that the billboards are “a matter of speaking truth with what’s going on. People are tired of political correctness.”
Hice’s Democratic opponent, Doug Heckman, a graduate of West Point who had served the US military in Afghanistan and Iraq said “I am embarrassed for the Reverend Jody Hice, I am embarrassed as an American. I am embarrassed as a combat veteran of both Iraq and Afghanistan because of what he says about our Commander in Chief during wartime.”
Hice responded that Obama’s “the President of the United States, and frankly I’m surprised at the shots he’s taken at the American free enterprise system.
The billboards also upset Georgia’s branch of the American Communist Party. Charlie Abrams, a Communist and an Atlanta environmental engineer, is calling for the billboards to be removed. He says it’s a slanderous attack on a symbol Americans know nothing about. “I call on this candidate to resign immediately. The hammer and sickle originally represented the alliance between workers and peasants in Russia who rose up through revolution. It represents the history of Communism.”
Hice doesn’t seem bothered by the criticism. He says he has received a positive reaction, “The vast majority are right on board with us.”

You have it to admit it though, using another political party’s symbol to attack a politician not from that party is more than slightly deceptive. It wouldn’t be fair for Communists to attack a Democrat politician by putting the GOP elephant up by his name…

True, but Democrats don’t ideologically seek to become Republicans lately.

The Communist Party USA national secretary Sam Webb boasted in the People’s World about working with the Democrats.

That hardly makes a Communist and a Democrat identical though….

It matters not what political party you are from or you support, they are all cut from the same cloth. They find that they are nothing but puppets to the elites and we kid ourselves thinking otherwise. Once “your” man/woman gets in office “the powers that be” blackmail them until they “walk their walk” and so it goes.
