A Columbia University alumnus told Neil Munro of the Daily Caller that Obama scored a decidedly mediocre GPA (grade point average) of only 2.6 in his two undergraduate years at Columbia University.
According to Munro, the source for the 2.6 number is a successful Silicon Valley entrepreneur, former Marine Corps combat veteran and a Columbia U. alumnus who maintains good ties with the university. The alumnus says that in 2004 he was told by a Columbia University official of Obama’s GPA after then-Illinois State Senator Obama had made a name for himself with a telepromptered speech at that year’s Democratic National Convention: “This person told me that he [Obama] was a pre-law, poli-sci major, had a lot of incompletes, and as best could be determined after sorting through the incompletes, had a GPA of 2.6.”
The source asked not to be named, but The Daily Call has verified his identity with at least one $2,500 contribution he’s made to Columbia.
The 2.6 GPA claim matches Obama’s own comments about his college career as being mediocre.
And that’s why the POS continues to refuse to make public his college records, despite a $5 million offer from Donald Trump to Obama’s charity-of-choice in exchange for those records.
A grade point average of 2.6 translates to a grade of B-, which is decidedly mediocre. I can attest from my decades as a university professor and from what other professors have told me, that profs are VERY VERY careful when it comes to assigning grades to African American students. Almost never are F (or fail) grades given to such students, even when an F is richly warranted. So Obama’s 2.6 GPA most likely was inflated. On top of that, there are all his Incompletes. No university I’ve ever studied or taught in has ever graduated a student with even one Incomplete grade. But Columbia University graduated Barack Obama with “a lot of incompletes”. Shame on you, Columbia University!
All of this makes it even more suspect that Obama had gained admission into Harvard University’s Law School by merit. No wonder he refuses to release his college records and his SAT scores (required for admission into undergraduate studies) as well as his LSAT (Law School Admission Test) scores.
Through the years, I’ve written countless letters of recommendation for my students seeking admission into law schools and graduate schools. I can honestly and unequivocally say that I’ve never known a student being admitted into a top-tier law or graduate school with a 3.0 (or B) undergraduate GPA, much less a 2.6 (or B-) GPA. I can confidently say that Obama had gained admission into Harvard Law School for
Affirmative Action racial quota reasons.
