“Oh what a tangled web we weave, When first we practise to deceive!” -Sir Walter Scott
Hawaii’s new hippy-dippy socialist governor, Neil Abercrombie, is finding just how tangled, thorny, and nettlesome his web has become.
First, Abercrombie bashed “birthers” for doubting Obama’s birth eligibility for the presidency and vowed he would silence those dastardly skeptics once and for all. Then, Abercrombie admits he — the Governor of Hawaii — can’t find Obama’s long-form birth certificate. That is most curious because two years ago, on October 31 2008, Director of Hawaii’s Department of Health (DOH) Dr. Chiyome Fukino declared that the health department has Obama’s original long-form birth certificate and that she had seen that elusive document with her own eyeballs!
The long-form birth certificate is that Holy Grail of a primary document from which was generated that famous Certificate of Live Birth (COLB) that was posted online on lefty websites. Alas, the problem is there are FOUR different versions of the COLB image.
After admitting he couldn’t find Obama’s long-form birth certificate (LFBC), Abercrombie quickly changed his story again. It’s not that he couldn’t find the LFBC; rather, the problem is his hands are tied because it’s against state law to release private documents like the LFBC without the individual’s permission. Recall that, right after he won the 2008 election, Obama went to Honolulu for a vacation, at which time he filed a request with the Hawaii state government to seal his birth records.
Suddenly camera shy, Abercrombie instead had his spokeswoman Donalyn Dela Cruz speak to the press. Dela Cruz said that Hawaii State Attorney General David Louie told the governor he can’t disclose an individual’s birth documentation without a person’s consent. “There is nothing more that Gov. Abercrombie can do within the law to produce a document,” Dela Cruz bleated and then added this dig, “Unfortunately, there are conspirators who will continue to question the citizenship of our president.”
But we have good evidence that Abercrombie actually did speak the truth when he said he couldn’t find Obama’s LFBC.
First, Jack Cashill writes for American Thinker, “Friend says Abercrombie told him, ‘There is no birth certificate!‘,” January 24, 2011:
During an interview on the KQRS morning radio show on January 20, Mike Evans, a long-time friend of Hawaii governor Neil Abercrombie, shared a conversation he had with the governor the day prior…. Evans, Honolulu born and now a Hollywood-based celebrity journalist, claimed that Abercrombie had promised him that he when he became governor, he planned to find absolute proof that Obama was born in Hawaii.
When Evans spoke to Abercrombie on January 19, Abercrombie reportedly told him that he searched the relevant Hawaii hospitals using his powers as governor, and concluded, according to Evans, “There is no Barack Obama birth certificate in Hawaii, absolutely no proof at all that Obama was born in Hawaii.” After Abercrombie made such a fuss about finding the birth certificate, Evans concluded of his friend that he has “got some egg in the face.”
Here’s the audio of Evans:
Second, Jerome Corsi of WorldNetDaily reports on January 24, 2011 that Tim Adams, who was Hawaii’s chief elections clerk in 2008, has now signed an affidavit swearing he was told by his supervisors in Hawaii that no long-form, hospital-generated birth certificate existed for Barack Obama Jr. in Hawaii and that neither Queens Medical Center nor Kapi’olani Medical Center in Honolulu had any record of Obama having been born in their medical facilities.
Adams first spoke out last June on this matter. Now an English instructor at Western Kentucky University, Adams explained that as the chief elections clerk in Honolulu in 2008, he had access to all databases to confirm someone’s identity and birth. But the Hawaiian government does not have Obama’s LFBC. Therefore, he can speak with confidence that Obama was not born in Hawaii.
The Left responded with their typical smear campaign, saying that Adams lied and that he was a white supremacist, for which there is zero evidence. Now, Adams has signed an affidavit, swearing to the truth of what he said in June:
There is no birth certificate!
An affidavit is a formal sworn statement of fact, signed by the author and witnessed as to the authenticity of the affiant’s signature by a taker of oaths, such as a notary public. The word “affidavit” is Medieval Latin for he has declared upon oath. An affidavit is a verified statement, meaning it is under oath or penalty of perjury, and this serves as evidence to its veracity and is required for court proceedings.
Here’s Tim Adams’ signed and notarized affidavit:
As Jack Cashill wryly observes: “In the Obama rabbit hole, things do seem to get progressively curiouser and curiouser.”
