#MeToo activist Rose McGowan on her abortion: “I could not bring a child into my world and simultaneously change the world”

It’s amazing that women who had babies actually had the capacity to make a positive change in the world. For example: Margaret Thatcher, Marie Curie, Christa McAuliffe, Wilma Rudolph, etc.

Who knew women could fantastically succeed without the burden of a baby…

From Yahoo: Rose McGowan opened up about her choice to have an abortion in an effort to get an “honest” conversation going around the topic.

The 45-year-old actress and activist made the revelation Friday when responding to a tweet from the women’s advocacy group UltraViolet that said, “1 in 4 women has an abortion by age 45. 60% are already mothers.”

From their tweet: “1 in 4 women has an abortion by age 45. 60% are already mothers. Abortion is common, normal, and safe, but anti-choice politicians want you to believe otherwise in hopes of ending safe, legal abortion access. #HowDareYou — UltraViolet (@UltraViolet) March 1, 2019”

“I have had an abortion and I support this message,” McGowan replied, adding, “I was on birth control and it failed. I realized I could not bring a child into my world and simultaneously change the world. I do not regret my decision and it was not made lightly.”

“If you do not want an abortion, don’t get one. My body, my choice, my life. Have you had to make a choice? Let’s talk and use hashtag #HonestAbortion” — rose mcgowan (@rosemcgowan) March 1, 2019

The Charmed actress encouraged women who have made the same decision to chime in using the hashtag #HonestAbortion. Many took the opportunity to share their story.

McGowan was one of the first women to accuse Harvey Weinstein of sexual assault. She has become one of the most outspoken voices of the #MeToo movement, advocating for victims of sexual violence. (The disgraced producer has denied all claims of nonconsensual sex.)

  1. I realized I could not bring a child into my world and simultaneously change the world.

Really?? Well, I have never heard of Rose McGowan so there must not be much changing on her part!!
Oh, wait—operative word–MY world. Not, ‘our’ or ‘the’.

I kinda wonder how long ago she had the abortion. The #MeToo movement is only the age of a toddler. Was she trying to change the world before then? I highly doubt it. I’m guessing she had the abortion because she ultimately did not want to see the father over the next couple of decades in raising a child and being part of its life – she was probably ashamed at who the father would be.

  3. 50M+ Dead babies. As long as she’s not affected that’s o.k. with her. Too bad. Many of those babies could grow up to be liberal.

  4. She advocates abortion because she didn’t have the courage to face a mistake she made and bring a fatherless child into this world.

  5. Seems like she is looking for an excuse to justify the reason for having an abortion. These so called women are self serving and selfish. They do not want the responsibility nor take the time to help a harmless little baby. They are not up to the great challenge it takes to produce a wonderful little being. It is all about them. These women should just shut up and take the pill and keep their twisted thoughts and excuses to themselves. I, for one, am tired of listening to their tripe.
Every person out there that has been a wonderful asset to mankind were all given birth by a woman that made the choice to have those babies, what is so hard to understand with these women?

  6. Honestly, my greatest achievement has been the successful raising of my 5 children. I pity Rose McGowan and others like her.

  7. Her reasoning is incredibly sad, and I see that reasoning from may women. “I don’t want to bring a child into this fucked up world.” The world is fucked up because the souls who want to come here to change it keep getting killed.

  8. “All through the day,
    I me mine, I me mine, I me mine;
    All through the night,
    I me mine, I me mine, I me mine…”.

Well, she wouldn’t be the first person (or woman) to have murdered someone to further her goals. Usually they put them in prison (hopefully) lest they do even more harm to the societies in which they live.

You see, babies are only babies when you say they are. They have no rights unless the mother gives them. The one saving grace in this is that I am certain these creatures will get their just reward.

  9. Liberals are ok with murdering innocent babies, but against the death penalty for serial murderers. Liberalism IS a mental disorder!!!

  10. What a repulsive human being. Harvey Weinstein is probably the victim. I don’t know anything about her, but I see she used Marilyn Manson’s as a sort of billboard announcing who she is on the inside. Even so, her emotionally fractured parallelism about being unable to both have her baby and participate in some vague generality about the world at large says Rose isn’t handling the decision to kill her baby very well. What a loser in all that matters and winner in all that doesn’t. Maybe some day she’ll see the light.

    • Isn’t it repulsive? “Brave”? Wow, its such a (sniff!), scary (sniff!) world out there and occasionally (sniff!), they point the camera at someone else (wail!).

Women like these give whores a bad name.

      • I just read through a few dozen of the 300 or so reviews of Brave on Amazon. Considering what a superwoman she is as she makes clear over several hundred pages, and thinking about the Weinstein accusation a little more, it becomes fairly obvious Rose is most likely describing what she forced on him and not the other way around, as if this “Brave”, “tough,” “empowered,” “no-nonsense” angry feminist was ever taken advantage of in the way she describes the Weinster encounter and not using sex to make men jump through hoops to advance her career. She deserves a Jussie Award for self-promoting bullshit you can smell coming from around the corner.

        • Ha, ha, “Jussie (Juicy?) Award”? She has a little of the Kathy Griffin “you hit me back first” to her as well. “I had to kill my child so I could frolic with the ugly Jew and get a role”. Wow, how, er……., inspiring.

There have been women through history who would have killed themselves rather than suffer that fate. I suppose there wasn’t a book deal in it for them.

  11. This is the latest schtick from has-been actress and attention-whore McGowan.

    • Indeed. I saw a picture of Amy Schumer yesterday with donut icing all over her face. She smeared it there to get attention for some nonsense she was spewing to……..get more attention. Spoiled little fat girl. What a waste of “seed”.

women like her “change the world” every day,……for the worse.

  13. Dear Rose McGowan: I’m glad you chose to NOT be a mother. Your choice was of someone unfit to become a mother of an infant, who is dependent upon your care and choices in life for some years, anyway. So, maybe without abortion, you would have dumped your newborn child in a dumpster? Maybe let it out in the open to die of exposure? Neither of these, nor more awful scenarios that I can gin up, are more awful than abortion. They are all equal in violence, rejection of the life you were embued with, the snuffing out of the future in favor of your own selfish, morally bankrupt, present.

You chose an abortion, to actually end the life of your own child. It was legal. It was “a choice” according to our present laws. But, it doesn’t make it non-murder, or moral or free of consequences. This AM I listened to the tesitmony of a former abortionist doctor on Maria Bartiroma’s financial show…and he explained that abortion is 3x more profitable than following an expectant mother and delivering her baby than is abortion. So, to the practicioner’s of abortion, you were a sniveling, marignalized economic asset, as was the aborted life of your child. You paid, the aborted child paid (without choice) with it’s life, and the abortionist earned the monetary blood benefit at a greater value than a live-born child who could have lived 80 or more years to contribute to our lives here on Earth…..well beyond YOUR expected years for which you, so far, with this act, did not contribute. All of this, esp. the financial profit, is even more SALT in the wound of the waste & sad state of humanity that the abortion of your child ..& every aborted child….was & is.

This abortionist walked away from his “profession” of performing abortions, after his own 6-year-old daughter died in his arms after being hit by a car in front of their home. His immediate “flash understanding” of his abortionist profession, was that, in comparison to the near-instant death of his beloved daughter in his arms, his taking the life of viable babies from the womb was comparable…he was the taker of life…he was “the decider” between life and death of a human being, a baby, a child who would one day be 6-years-old like the daughter who died in his arms…but for his abortionist activity. He walked away from it. He also told the tale of a fellow abortionist who, Ms Rose McGowan, could have been YOUR abortionist: after abortion, you have to “put together” the human anatomy of the aborted child, to make sure you “got” all of it “out” of the womb. Putting the “jigsaw” together of a human baby, this abortionist was swept over by the feeling of “WTF am I doing, putting together the body of a viable child I just killed to make sure I “got all of “it” ?????” As, I posture, most any SANE human being would. He walked away and never came back to work at the abortion clinic. My only wish is that, YOU, Rose McGowan, were the one required to put the “jigsaw” of your aborted child’s body back together to assure that, medically, he/she had been totally dismembered/evacuated, to spare you post-abortion infection. YOU and the WORLD needs to see the reality of your “choice” and the reality of our “legalities.” We need to see the fruits of planned parenthood and abortion clinics plastered all over online, just like any PORN…..ESPECIALLY NOW that in many states, a child can be killed in the birth canal during labor/birth.

As a history teacher I know the impact of images upon the public: The Civil War in the USA was the first photographed war…and the publishing of the dead bodies, the fruits of the war, to the public, affected the resolve of the (hither to dis-organized and unfocused North ) to END the war successfully, esp after the 2nd election of Lincoln. (Pretty much, same thing w/Viet Nam….protests started after stark images were shown on live TV news casts). Time to release wide and far the photographs…the stark truth, about what an abortion LOOKS LIKE. Show them all—the evacuated nearly full-term babies…the dissected babies…..the ones who survived the abortion….maybe lived, maybe died without support (thanks Barack Insane Obama and other subsequent Demorats…..)…..show us….I DARE YOU…..in this age of technology and instantaneous results etc etc…IT IS TIME to show the stark truth and let people decide if they are supporters of it….or not…….

  14. Mist'ears Mom

From S.M.A.R.T Women’s Healthcare (Science Matters in Abortion Related Trauma):
    1. The ultimate cost of subsequent children (after an earlier abortion) born early/preterm births was at least $26.2 billion in medical care 2005 or $51,600 per infant born preterm. Plus $5.7 billion for lost household labor market productivity associated with those disabilities & $1.9 Maternal delivery costs.
    2. Funding mental health treatment centers for eating disorders, alcohol & drug abuse $30 billion: overall NIH funding for yr 2005.
Evidence demands we look at: the adjusted risk of preterm birth – under 37 weeks increased by 27% after 1 abortion and 62% after 2.
The link between abortion & breast cancer.
Abortion & mental Health-studies have shown an overall 81% greater risk of mental health problems for women who had an abortion.
    included-anxiety disorders – 34%
    depression – 37%
    alcohol abuse – 110%
    marijuana abuse – 220%
    suicide behaviors – 155%
All mental health risks – 81%
The suicide rate among women who have had abortions soars compared to those who deliver.
Go put those facts in your #Metoo movement you fraud – fake women’s rights con artist rose mcgowen.

  15. Unfortunately for mankind, her mother didn’t abort her ??
    What a shame ??
