Los Angeles Boycotts Arizona

Stand with Arizona!

The city of Los Angeles — which is inundated with illegals — has voted to boycott the state of Arizona over the latter’s new immigration law. The law merely enables Arizona to enforce the federal immigration laws that the feds refuse to enforce. (Don’t be a MSM-brainwashed robot, read the actual facts on Arizona’s law HERE.)
As reported by Nick Allen of the UK’s Telegraph,

The Los Angeles City Council voted 13-1 to stop from conducting business with Arizona unless the law is repealed. Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa has already said he will approve the boycott which could affect contracts for airport, harbour and trucking services. The council will also consider suspending travel of its employees to Arizona, and refraining from making any new ones.

The resolution claims that Arizona’s new law encourages racial profiling and is unconstitutional. In so doing, Los Angeles joines several other cities across America which have passed similar resolutions but L.A. is the largest city yet to boycott Arizona, with $52 million worth of contracts with the state.
Excuse me for asking: But isn’t Los Angeles cutting off its nose to spite its face, given the parlous economic circumstances of the state of California, including Los Angeles?
California’s 2010 budget is already $20 to $40 billion in the hole, requiring a new round of cuts of entire programs. As an article in Uncoverage.net points out, “California is on the cliff’s edge.” While Demonrat officials in California ( the mayors of San Francisco, Oakland, Los Angeles, the State Senate president pro temp) continue their time-wasting “Boycott Arizona” blather, why don’t they pay attention to how many companies and jobs are leaving the state?
In the years 1990-2007, California has lost 25% of its manufacturing jobs. As many as 129 companies had left the state for greener pastures due to its hostile tax, environmental and business climate. Joseph Vranich, the Business Relocation Coach, has compiled a list of 129 companies that have left or “de-invested” in California — a list that the California state government conveniently does not provide. For the long alphabetical list of companies that have left California, from Abraxis Health to a Yahoo data center that was installed in Quincy, Washington, go to http://www.uncoverage.net/2010/05/ca-1990-2010-jobs-and-businesses-leave-the-state/.

Arizona is under heavy fire from the left-wing bullies for tryign to protect its own citizens from the ravages of illegal immigration. The entire state is being attacked as “racist,” “nazi,” and “extremist.” The left-wing bullies believe they can target, isolate and neutralize Arizona, and thereby pressure the people of Arizona to stop enforcing the law. It’s time for all of us to…

STAND WITH ARIZONA!

  1. L.A. did not invent the boycott. Let’s all boycott anything that originates from L.A. Let them feel the pressure they are trying to put on Arizona!

  2. funny thing about this though….no sooner than this is announced, than Schwarzenegger announces he’s going to end the welfare program…. so where are all of those LA supporters as well as those that are leaving Arizona in droves going to go now??

  3. Good grief, all these public agency twits have already deemed the law unconstitutional when it hasn’t even been proven in court and stick their noses in every PC crap instead of worrying about their own problems.
I got to AZ once a year for spring training…I’m thinking I might have to take a trip their this winter. Ugh, that means I would have to see my lib mom….dilemma!

  4. the law is not unconstitutional anymore than the federal law it mirrors… Arizona’s unemployment rate started dropping the day before it was signed in anticipation of it and at just one company 300 jobs for Americans instantly became available… the gangs that usually roam have dried up making the streets safer and people are getting more sleep without sirens and gun shots waking them up. let them go to LA… see how they like it there…. LA cops are a lot tougher than Arizona’s…. they’ve literally been getting away with murder.

    • Wow! Arizonans are already seeing positive effects from the immigration law! That’s impressive.
Stand firm, Arizona! Don’t succumb to bullies. The polls show the majority of Americans agree with you!
