UPDATE: See a follow-up to this post on the nature and composition of the 10-2 rally, “Liberals Finally Admit They’re Socialists.”
What if they called a rally and hardly anybody came?
Yesterday, October 2, at the Lincoln Memorial Mall in Washington, D.C., the Left held its counter rally against the massive “Restore Honor” Tea Party rally organized by Glenn Beck a month ago. They called their rally “One Nation [of Socialists, Communists, and Parasites] Working Together.”
Here’s a shot of the Left’s counter rally:

Notice the difference in turnout between the two rallies?
C-Span was so embarassed by the anemic turnout that they used a crowd shot from last month’s “Restore Honor” rally to make yesterday’s Left rally look more populous! Shame on you, C-Span. (H/t beloved fellows Doc’s Wife & Steve.)
At least the AP was honest, conceding that the Left rally was “less dense and didn’t reach as far to the edges as they did during Beck’s rally.” The most generous estimate is that a few thousands showed up yesterday. Exclude all those who were paid to show up, the turnout would have been even more sparse, although these few thousands will make up for their numbers in the trash they leave behind.
Not even Obama came. He’s spending the weekend in Camp David. What a nice guy, uh?
Notice also the paucity of American flags in the Left’s rally. Instead there are union banners and purple SEIU t-shirts.
H/t Weasel Zippers!
