Another homosexual cartoon character…

DC Comics having one their popular characters come out of the closet, report says

Fox News:  Could Superman be gay?
Honchos at Superman’s comic book home, DC Comics, said this weekend that one of their most identifiable (but as of yet unnamed) straight characters will soon be coming out of the closet, according to a report.

At the Kapow Comic Convention held last weekend in London, DC co-publisher Dan DiDio said the publisher would be reintroducing a previously existing character who would now be “one of our most prominent gay characters,” the website BleedingCool.com reports.
Didio said DC’s position had shifted on the subject since he said in an interview last year that any homosexual characters would be new introductions, and that none of their existing characters’ sexual orientations would shift.
DC vice president Bob Wayne likened DC’s change in tune to President Obama’s shift on gay marriage, explaining that DC’s policy “has evolved,” the report says.
Archie Comics introduced a homosexual character, Kevin Keller, in 2010.  In Keller’s initial story line, “Isn’t It Bromantic?”, Veronica expresses interest in dating Kevin but he is uninterested. As he and Jughead bond over their mutual love of food, Kevin explains that he does not want to date Veronica because he is gay. Archie Comics co-CEO Jon Goldwater explained that including an openly gay character is a way to keep the world of Archie Comics inclusive and updated.  “It shows that Riverdale is in the 21st century.”
So when are these comic books going to “evolve” and have a character in a plural marriage?  What about a character that favors bestiality?  What about one that favors little boys?  After all, “you can choose to love whoever you love.”

  1. Why do they have to take everything from the “good ol’ days” and drag it through the filth? Can’t we have at least one good memory from the past that hasn’t been contaminated?

  2. They want EVERYBODY to have drippy butt. Just like the democrats, just because they are hurting they want EVERRYBODY to hurt! So vote democrat and is just a few generations there will be no mor gays left and very few democrats! Semper Fi.

  3. Hope and Change baby!! Maybe a boycott is in order or is that a hate crime for us now??

  4. Lex Luthor? (Never see any women around him… ) Robin? (You know those rumors about him and Batman… ) Wonder Woman? (No men on Paradise Island either… ) Bizarro? (Well, logically, but when is political correctness logical?)
Well, not to be cynical, but after sales decrease whomever it is will get hit on the head again, re-zapped by Purple Kryptonite or whatever and turn back straight. Given the extensive backstory and how consistent it has to be with long-established comic characters something has to happen to them lately or they had to be really gay all along in a plausible manner. Batman, sure, as womanizing Bruce Wayne, could say he was in denial all along and come out (like George Michael did), but that would hurt a bazillion-$ franchise (loss of the playground set, not to mention the NAMBLA jokes from preteens) and couldn’t be taken back. What the heck, over?

  5. More HOMOSEXUAL cartoons. X-Men gay wedding makes Marvel history: The X-Men have always broken barriers with socially relevant stories and characters. The mutant heroes will celebrate the wedding of Northstar in June’s Astonishing X-Men #51. Marvel’s first openly gay hero, Jean-Paul Beaubier will propose to his boyfriend Kyle Jinadu in this week’s issue #50.

    • Sales are so bad for both DC and Marvel they had to do something. The problem with this, just like every other liberal idea, it always sound great in their bubble but once the idea is put into practice it never turns out as expected.
DC just like Marvel believes that everyone shares their passion for propaganda, the problem though is that all of the very loud sounds of approval is coming from their own camp and not from the fans (most who are fairly hardcore) or the public at large.
What is going to happen is that this “character” is going to be one that everyone heard of but no one cares about, a “sacrificial lamb” if you will. So they can stay relevant without offending the hardcore fans. Just like Marvel did with Northstar. Seriously who really cared about Northstar he was always a arrogant whiny character anyway…

    • It’s hip, it’s trendy, it’s the P.C. fad of the year! (Heck, I’m waiting for Nick Fury to come out– it’ll be fun watching Samuel L. Jackson, now that he’s on the hook to play Fury for a bunch of films, deal with that. Betcha he won’t, even if it costs him $$$.)

  6. “If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State.”

  7. I said this before but I still have my comics (about 2500+) from when I was collecting since the mid 80’s and one of those issues was the one where Northstar came out the closet. It was a big deal for about five minutes then everyone forgot about it.
Same is going to happen again unless they pick a major character (Batman, Superman, Green lantern) then may I suggest to DC to start filing for Chapter 11…you will need it.

    • Will,
You’re right on the money. It is one of the X-men, Northstar, who will have a gay marriage to his partner Kyle.
Kyle!!! Can we get any gay-er than “Kyle”? LOL

  8. Same here. A local news site is hyping all the homosexual stuff, every day. Homosexual wedding fair, homosexual this and that. Obvious they have an agenda. Sick of it too!

  9. This just in… it’s Green Lantern

    • “You have to move with the times.” I bet NAMBLA and supporters of plural marriages can’t wait until we completely “evolve”.
