Here’s video from the ground taken by James MacWhyte, an American living in Tokyo, which was originally posted to Facebook but has now made its way to Youtube.
Within 6 minutes the streets go from minimally drivable to engulfed with water to the 2nd floor level with cars, trucks and buildings being swept away.

  1. Wow! :O

  2. just incredible…

  3. This is one of the most powerful and most horrifying videos I have ever seen. I cannot imagine standing there while this devastation occurs. My heart is breaking for the people of Japan.

  4. This did not happen in Tokyo. The first paragraph is poorly worded, though it’s not like ‘conservatives’ can read. Get your kicks elsewhere.

    • Obviously YOU are the one you can’t read…the text states “the vid was taken by an American living in Tokyo” – it doesn’t state the devastation footage was in Tokyo.

    • Hey, jamesmallon,
Since you pride yourself on your superior reading ability, read this!

Better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.

James Mallon, if you watched the destruction and devastation shown on this video and all you can find to comment on is the sentence structure and word selection, you must be an unfeeling robot! Watch that video again and be ashamed of yourself!
