It's Over for Cain

The headline on Drudge this morning says it’s ” All But Over” for Herman Cain’s campaign to be the GOP presidential nominee.
I agree.
Yesterday, though still denying Kimberly White’s claim of a 13-year affair, Cain did admit that he’s repeatedly given money to White to help her “with month-to-month bills and expenses” without the knowledge of his wife of 42 years, Gloria.
How many married women among FotM’s readership think this is okay? I’d be really really upset if my husband were to do that — give our money, repeatedly, to another person, much less a female, without my knowledge or consent.

Gloria and Herman Cain

Even Cain’s denial of the affair is not believable. ABC’s George Stephanopoulos interviewed Kimberly White on “Good Morning America,” November 30, 2011. This is from the transcript of the interview:

WHITE: Well, to begin, our relationship was on and off for the last 13, 14 years. This was not a consistent love affair that went on every day for the last 14 years. So, he is correct when he made that statement. And as far as I can tell, or what I’m hearing, that is the only thing he has been correct in saying.

STEPHANOPOULOS:  He also says he has helped you- Excuse me. He also said he has helped you financially over the past few years. Has he given you money?

WHITE: Yes, he has.

STEPHANOPOULOS: On what occasions?

WHITE: I’ve received gifts and money for the last two and a half years consistently.

STEPHANOPOULOS: Did he ask for anything in return for that money?

WHITE: No. This was nothing- this was not sex for cash.

STEPHANOPOULOS: One thing I’m struck by is that you’ve also shown phone records showing at least 61 phone calls over the last several months. Even after the physical relationship ended. And, and, and most strikingly, you just gave us earlier this morning, phone records from October and November, showing multiple texts, back and forth, between cain, just as these other stories about sexual harassment allegations are breaking in the press. He seems to be calling you in late October, on November 2nd. November 3rd. November 4th. November 5th, November 7th. November 8th, 13th, 14th and 18th. He’s texting you all month long, all this month!

WHITE: That’s correct. Our communication has, you know, just up until last week, when, you know, the leak- several leaks and media- the media was- they were calling my cell phone. They were calling family members. And just up until last week, that was my last contact with Mr. Cain. And you know, the thing is, I can’t imagine waking up one morning and deciding to come out with this, if this was not true. This has been a very difficult situation for myself, for my family. And it’s nothing that I am proud of. The truth of the matter is-

STEPHANOPOULOS: Go ahead.

WHITE: The truth of the matter is, when I entered into this inappropriate relationship with Mr. Cain, I was single. I was not married. Mr. Cain has been married throughout the entire relationship. And, you know, it’s unfortunate. As far as any proof, which has- you know, I was watching several media shows just last night. When you enter into a private relationship that you really do not care to share with the public, you really don’t enter into something like that holding on to receipts. Holding on to gifts or if there were any notes or anything like that, to come out eventually and say, “Yeah, this is what happened and here is my proof.” That’s absolutely something that —

STEPHANOPOULOS: What was the relationship, exactly? Was it an affair? Was it fun? Was it just sex? Tell us about it.

WHITE: It was a very casual affair. Am I proud to admit to that? No, I’m not. It was a very casual affair that Herman flew me to- on several trips. I went on several trips with Herman. We- one particular trip was the Mike Tyson/Holyfield fight in Las Vegas. You know. I can’t make this stuff up. And frankly speaking, I wouldn’t want to make this up.

Has anyone noticed that throughout all of Cain’s “bimbo eruptions,” his wife Gloria never once came forth to say she believes in and supports him?
Cain says he’ll make up his mind whether he’ll continue with his campaign after meeting with his wife today.
I’d sure like to be a fly on the wall at that meeting….

She’s just another one of the bimbos that has been paid by the corrupt people behind the slander of Herman Cain. We are in real trouble, folks!

Sigh…
At his point I’ve lost faith in our politicians, the political system, and the whole race. Have a feeling I’ll be holding my nose as I cast my vote next year.

The moral of this story is that if you EVER plan on serving your country in politics …as anything resembling a conservative…don’t have or ever have had a friend of the female persuasion.Don’t loan money or give gifts to anyone or have cordial affiliations unless it’s PC approved.
No charity…no friends…no past . Hater’s gotta’ hate.

This is such a sad way for his run for president to end, I really don’t like the main stream media much at all…Guilty or not, all his accomplishments have been nullified, every one will always remember him as the man that had affairs… too sad…

Correction, she did appear on a show (Greta Van Susteren) and stated that she did believe and love her husband, referring to the previous sexual harassent allegations. This was before the White case. However, it is quite obvious, that someone who is married, to have a “secret” female friend, sending text messages, phone calls, and $$$…. well, that speaks for itself- this woman appealed to him. Just like Newt, I now find Cain morally corrupt. Perhaps I’m wrong, but I’m speaking from an adult, female viewpoint, and I feel that people should be held accountable for their actions, especially those… Read more »

With this in the background, I have to wonder why he made the decision to run for office in the first place.

I haven’t followed any of the Cain-bashing stories very closely; but, if he admitted giving financial support to this woman over a long period of time without telling his wife, that’s very troubling.

yeah yeah yeah whatever a couple of weeks ago Hillbuzz radio interviewed Larry Sinclair for two hours and he has receipts, dates…an inexhaustible amount of information regarding his drug/sex encounters with then Senator Obama, including information about usually unseen parts of the Obama’s anatomy……what about all the stories about Man Country, what about the whispers about why Obama’s male assistants keep leaving, what about Donald Young’s mother’s unwaivering story that Obama is connected to the murder of her son …and so much more……..let’s see Georgie Stephanopoulos’ interview with them…..ummm, how come we haven’t seen Michelle come out and address these… Read more »

Knowing how honest and upstanding people like Rush Limbaugh and Mark Levin are, I’m sure any day now they’ll be apologizing for the many demeaning and sexist things they said about Cains earlier accusors. I’m sure the bloggers here will do the same. Any day now…. after all if Cain is guilty of this and lying to his wife and lying to America he’s most likely lying about the sexual harrassment. Thing is the earlier women were moral enough not to sleep with a married man. But conservatives called them every name in the book. Why did they wait so… Read more »

I’ve never used any of those aliases. I’d appreciate if you didn’t slander me. I, like many people, use a cell phone service to access internet. They give you random ip unlike hardwired internet providers.

Saying you’re paid and the way you’re commenting, you might’ve better called yourself sorosflunkey1 instead. No offense.

I don’t believe Stephanopoulos for a second, and I’m surprised that the writers of this blog do. Since when has this man had any interest in telling the truth? Then again, I suppose if it suits your motives (get rid of Cain), then who cares who says it? Hey, we’re all ready and willing to say that Ginger is telling the truth (even when none of the other women were), and let’s gin up the whole “man apparently did something dumb — i.e. give money to another woman — thus he must be an adulterer!” logic. Freaking Hillary Clinton would… Read more »

I don’t believe George for a minute. I do believe what Cain said, that he gave this woman money without telling his wife.
I have no motive to get rid of Cain, heck, I wish the SRM hadn’t killed him like this (and they have) because he was my pick! But giving a woman money without telling his wife is not right in my book. Principles do count for something. Happy trails…

I maybe going to a bar to drown my sorrows as I don’t want a RINO 🙂
Seriously, Bachmann rises to the top now for me.

I’ve followed Michelle since she started her run for Congress and she’s the real deal. I’d pay good money to see Dr.Paul and Bachman, but the rino’s and mainstream media have their hearts set on Newt and Nitt.
