Italy's supreme court overturns Pietro Lamberti's paedophile conviction because girl, 11, 'in love'

News.com.au: ITALY’S highest court has overturned the conviction of a 60-year-old man for having sex with an 11-year-old girl, because the verdict failed to take into account their “amorous relationship”.
Pietro Lamberti, a social services worker in Catanzaro in southern Italy, was convicted in February 2011 and sentenced to five years in prison for sexual acts with a minor.
The verdict was later upheld by an appeals court.
But Italy’s supreme court ruled that the verdict did not sufficiently consider “the ‘consensus’, the existence of an amorous relationship, the absence of physical force, the girl’s feelings of love”.
The court’s October 15 decision to order a retrial was made public this month by Il Quotidiano della Calabria and slowly spread to social media networks, where it sparked heated reactions against the Italian justice system.
According to Il Quotidiano, the girl came from a poor family who had known and trusted the social worker.
Lamberti was caught naked in bed with the girl after an investigation by police based largely on wire-tap evidence, it said.

And not just from some lower-court judge, but the SUPREME COURT of Italy — a historically Catholic country. Unbelievable.

At this point we must recall the notorious Italian proverb, “Christ stopped short of here, at Eboli”, which applies in this instance. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Christ_Stopped_at_Eboli. The article is very helpful in this anomalous situation.
This is not to excuse anything, but to give some idea of the very different history of Italy in different regions; Italy is not as homogeneous as stereotypes lead us to believe. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eboli

This is the same attitude the radical progressive Left is pushing for this country. The entertainment industry is sure doing its job.

It started at the very beginning of Hollywood’s history, say 1910, was toned down somewhat after the Fatty Arbuckle incident [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roscoe_Arbuckle] and other Twenties scandals, but has been creeping back.
Many writer-commentators suggest that it’s now an intimate part of the NWO elite’s methodology of propaganda and population control. It may well be, as movies have always played a disproportionate influence on all ages, but especially seductive of the under 20 set, IMO.

A lot, which is why my father left Abruzzi, Italy, at age 22, on his own, in 1927. My mum’s family came from Sicily in the early part of the 20th century, so I’m the first born here, a rare event in our era. Italy was united only in recent time, w/severe local & regional disparities and values.
Many Italians [mainland Italy] regard Sicily as almost foreign; my dad often said he could understand two Spaniards speaking more easily than he could two Sicilians, yet he married a siciliana!
