(NewsCore) – Authorities found dozens of rounds of live ammunition outside the state Capitol building in Madison, Wis., where protesters have gathered to rally against the governor’s budget repair bill.
Dane County Sheriff’s deputies discovered 11 rounds near the State Street entrance to the building early Thursday, the Wisconsin State Journal reported.
Officials also found 29 rounds near the King Street entrance and one round near the North Hamilton Street entrance.
University of Wisconsin-Madison Police Chief Susan Riseling said the bullets were 22-caliber long rifle hollow points.
Officers conducted a sweep the grassy areas and bushes outside the Capitol, and Department of Administration lawyer Steven Means asked that the Capitol be cleared for a security check, the Wisconsin State Journal reported.
Now I know that .22 caliber ammunition would not be a snipers first choice  but it could still be deadly at close range and it appears to be dropped in haste, possibly a failed assassination attempt. There is another possible explanation, one far more devious. This ammunition was placed there on purpose so that the willing accomplices to the unions, the MSM would place the blame on conservatives and the TEA Party.
Meanwhile, the state estimates protesters have done $7.5 million in damage to the Capitol building, WKOW-TV reported.
Pro-union protesters have rallied for weeks against a bill by Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker that would strip the state’s public employees of their collective bargaining rights. Walker, a Republican, has said the changes are needed to close a $137 million shortfall in the current budget and a $3.6 billion gap in the upcoming two-year budget.
The Department of Administration estimates it would cost $500,000 to remove adhesive posters from inside the building, $6 million to restore the interior and $1 million to restore the exterior. The Department of Administration attributed the cost to the damage caused to the Capitol building’s 43 types of marble.

Well thanks Steve, if they did check behind the grassy knoll they would probably find one of the socialist punks smoking a bong and taking a dump. Finally if they use union labor to clean the capital then it will look worse than it does now.
