Maulana Karenga, whose was born in 1941 as Ronald McKinley Everett before he gave himself an African Swahili name, is a Black nationalist and political activist since the Black Power movement of the 1960s. He is best known for having invented the racist and entirely fictitious African-American holiday of Kwanzaa, which is observed from December 26 to January 1, all the better to co-opt the West’s traditional holidays of Christmas and New Year.
Karenga is a professor and chair of the Department of Africana Studies at California State University, Long Beach. But what is little known is his extensive criminal history.

Stephen Frank writes for California Political Review, Dec. 26, 2014:

Ron Karenga was convicted of torturing women, including pouring water down the throat of women, using a hose—today we call that waterboarding—and Obama, Holder, Feinstein, McCain and most people oppose it.
Karenga is also the founder of the holiday “Kwanzaa” founded on racist principles. So when you see a TV station or a pundit on MSNBC wish you a happy Kwanzaa—know that are promoting a phony holiday created by a bigot, a vicious torturer of women (he did go to prison for this) and the Cal State Long Beach Department head of “Africana Studies”.
That is right—Cal State has hired a man who should not be allowed in the presence of women or decent society. They hired a bigot, to teach a bigoted, racist course. Bet you did not know this.
“In 1971, Karenga was sentenced to one to ten years in prison on counts of felonious assault and false imprisonment.[15] One of the victims gave testimony of how Karenga and other men tortured her and another woman. The woman described having been stripped and beaten with an electrical cord. Karenga’s estranged wife, Brenda Lorraine Karenga, testified that she sat on the other woman’s stomach while another man forced water into her mouth through a hose.
A May 14, 1971, article in the Los Angeles Times described the testimony of one of the women:
“Deborah Jones, who once was given the Swahili title of an African queen, said she and Gail Davis were whipped with an electrical cord and beaten with a karate baton after being ordered to remove their clothes. She testified that a hot soldering iron was placed in Miss Davis’ mouth and placed against Miss Davis’ face and that one of her own big toes was tightened in a vise. Karenga…also put detergent and running hoses in their mouths, she said. They also were hit on the heads with toasters.”[16]

California’s taxpayers are paying the handsome salary of this vicious racist man who is “teaching” your children.

  1. Please keep that person and all like him as close to the Pacific Ocean (preferably, in it) as possible!

  2. Once again, more sordid proof that the Left is EVIL. Their strategy of placing their goons in academia was a brilliant masterstroke of evil genius. And the Left always wins, because it knows how to exploit the MODESTY, intellectual, moral or otherwise, of traditional or conservative people.
Only the true “Moral Viking” can save America now!

  3. A made-up holiday — *sigh*
    Are we surprised?!

  4. another important piece of information. Why is this just coming out now? Well, maybe people are paying more attention now. So maybe that’s a good thing.
We really do need to think for ourselves and not take our cues from titles, positions of honor or “consensus.”
But then that might mean taking a stand a la Kim Davis, my new heroine.
    So be it.
    So once again–thanks for posting.

  5. this male was convicted of false imprisonment and torture and he gets hired as a professor? Seems to me he had connections and luckily for him they didn’t do background checks back in the 70s (been dept head since ’79).
he’s a marxist, racist, misogynist, convicted felon who tortured women…but he denies the felony convictions and claims he was a political prisoner. Some blacks actually follow this fake “holiday” called “kwanzaa”….all it does is remove them further from Christ. That time of year should be spent celebrating the birth of our Lord and Savior and all the events that lead up to Easter and beyond, not this kwanzaa junk which is simply about celebrating “blackness” instead of Christ, which in my mind is blasphemy (looks like this “genius” simply copied hanukkah).
Jesus died for us all, regardless of race or gender. By blacks celebrating kwanzaa, they are rejecting Christ, because one cannot serve two masters. It was no coincidence that karenga placed kwanzaa in direct competition with Christmas season.
Here is a link with more info on this degenerate profit whore’s life and torture of the 2 women, pretty disgusting:

  6. He is the perfect hero for BLM and the NBPP.
He is known to not near enough people. A bit more on this piece of effluent can be found here:

He teaches and preaches hate, violence and ‘systemic racism’ which he is supposedly against.
He is disgusting, totally and completely disgusting.

  7. I remember this evil and dangerous psychopath when I was going to Pasadena City College in the late 60’s. He’d push his big fat self around the student union with his bad ass militant pantheresque entourage spouting “kill whitey” rhetoric. I knew he was one scary dude way back then.
