Our planet is populated with plenty of bizarre and astonishing creatures.
Did you know this about bats? The latest newsletter from Texas Gardener Seeds has these interesting facts about bats:

  1. Bats consume 3,000 or more mosquitoes and other insects nightly.
  2. Bats are responsible for up to 95% of the seed dispersal essential to the regeneration of forests.
  3. Bats are less likely to be rabid than dogs are.

So put up a bat house to encourage the presence of these shy animals!
Here are three from the Bat Family:

Sucker-Footed Bat

Red-Winged Fruit Bat

Left-Winged Ding Bat

So 2 out of 3 bats have a useful purpose!
If we could just train him to eat mosquitoes . . . or do anything useful.
There is one bat — a most destructive variety of the Left-Winged Ding Bat.

  1. Very interesting. But the Left-winged Ding-don Bat and the Vampire blood-sucking Bat are alien to Earth. They have no souls as do all other natural bats. As such they are contaminants to the well-being of Earth inhabitants, and should be incinerated to cleanse the planet, not only of their stench but also of their vile energies.

  2. So interesting..

  3. I did not see that coming.

  4. Now that’s funny!

  5. HAHAHA! I loved it! 🙂

  6. I think that just about covers it. Thank you for the lesson.
