Illinois mayor can ban booze and guns under coronavirus emergency act

Deborah Feinen using her powers…

Yeah, that won’t cause a panic. Oh, and they have ZERO confirmed cases in the city. Never let a crisis go to waste…

From NY Post: The Second Amendment be damned! At least an Illinois mayor seems to think so.

In an executive order, Champaign Mayor Deborah Frank Feinen declared a coronavirus emergency — not one case yet in the city of 87,500 — and included ordinances that let her ban the sale of firearms and ammunition as well as booze.

“None of the options will necessarily will be implemented but are available in order to protect the welfare and safety of our community if needed,” city Communications Manager Jeff Hamilton told local NBC affiliate WAND-TV.

Feinen let it be known that she is in charge. “So many of those powers, I have had from the beginning,” Feinen told WAND-TV. “All we have done is enumerate them and now the public is aware of them. So, I am the liquor commissioner. I can shut down bars yesterday, I could have shut them down two years ago. Nothing has changed with respect to that, it is just that we have laid it out, so people are aware of that. In respect to the other items that are listed in the attachment, they have been listed in the city code for 15 years.”

Makes no sense…unless you are a Democrat that wants to keep guns out of hands of people that might need to defend themselves from mobs of crazed DEMOCRATS

I think she’s going to be booted out because of the booze ban. That’s not constitutional of course, but it’s ILL inoise after all. What makes her think she’s above the Cnnstitution? Plus she should lose her job for that hatchet job haircut alone.

The only reason she can ban alcohol now, is because Champaign is home to the U. of Illinois (I’m an alumni), and with the Covid19 outbreak, school has been canceled for the rest of the school year. She hasn’t because she knows how Champaign really gets a lot of its revenue.

The true scummy character of the Jew has been revealed. Back in the 1930s, people were stupid, and would believe any horrible tale told about Nazi Germany. Now we can see just how stupid they really were.

Again I ask,as sacred as the Second Amendment is (All the OTHER Amendments too,but THIS one has always been the target of the Democrats’ slings and arrows.),what,in our Constitution and Bill of Rights,is actually capable of STOPPING these jack-butts from VIOLATING OUR RIGHT?

The mayor’s little “law” that gives her such sweeping powers is actually unconstitutional, but let’s not let that stop us from cowering to her huge ego and presumption.

I can understand wanting to ban guns as some people still hunt feral boars. But you’d think she’d want her man or unman friends to see her through some booze goggles.
