The 10 Richest Celebrities Supporting Occupy Wall Street

From Celebrity Networth: Street’s slogan “We are the 99%” is derived from the idea that they represent the difference in wealth that separates the top 1% and every other American citizen. The top 1% of Americans is defined as anyone who has an annual household income greater than $593,000. So why are multi-millionaire celebrities showing up to offer their support and grab attention? And why is Occupy Wall Street taking them seriously? Here is a list of the 10 richest celebrities supporting Occupy Wall Street (they have a combined net worth of $1.255 billionby the way):
#1 Yoko Ono Net Worth – $500 million.  Ono stated “I love ‘Occupy Wall Street’! John is sending his smile to ‘Occupy Wall Street’. I am sending my love to ‘Occupy Wall Street’. We are all working together. ”
#2 Russell Simmons Net Worth – $325 million. Keep in mind that on top of being a hip-hop mogul Simmons is the founder of a high fee credit card company called UniRush Financial Services.
#3 Roseanne Barr Net Worth – $80 million. Roseanne thinks anyone with over $100 million should be beheaded. Interesting that her net worth is $80 million. I guess she doesn’t make “the cut”.
#4 Deepak Chopra Net Worth – $80 million. Chopra said #OWS is turning anger into awareness. The fortune he has made off his fluff filled books has just turned me to anger.
#5 Kanye West Net Worth – $70 million
#6 Alec Baldwin Net Worth – $65 million
#7 Susan Sarandon Net Worth – $50 million
#8 Michael Moore Net Worth – $50 million
#9 Tim Robbins Net Worth – $50 million
#10 Nancy Pelosi Net Worth – $35.5 million
How come these Occupy Wall Street protestors aren’t demanding these celebrities, part of the very rich they claim to despise, cough up their fair share?
As for these rich celebrities showing up at Occupy Wall Street, have they no shame?  I guess when you are seeking publicity, shame knows no bounds.  How shallow and empty their lives must be to pursue such a desperate/hypocritical move to enhance their egos.

  1. A question more likely of being answered would come from nearer home. Why do you care why? Why convince yourself you’re capable of judging any of them? You and I don’t know their motives. For the most part we aren’t even honest enough to recognize our own.

    • Hey, Old Jules! You are one funny ol’ dude. Do you realize you just committed a logical fallacy? You excoriate DCG for “judging” these multimillionaires who support the Occupy “eat the rich” Movement, but in so doing, you just committed the very same deed for which you criticize DCG — you’re judging her!
      How funny is that.
I’ll ask you the same question you asked DCG:
Why do you care that DCG points out the hypocrisy of these liberal multimillionaires??? Why don’t you mind your own business, um?

    • Obviously the flaming hypocrisy on display by these people is totally lost on you.
Their motives are irrelevant and of no concern to me.
What gets under my skin is the double standard at work here.
I’m guessing you will sit there and watch as Michael Moore, a capitalist, criticizes others for being capitalists, and cheer him on.

  2. I’m sick of hearing that I’m judging someone when I offer an opinion about a person/persons. I can’t “judge”, assess, consider, or have a view about anyone? If I were to never “judge” anyone, I’d be silent on my opinions.
I care because they are celebrities and they have a voice that many sheeple will listen to. And one on that list is a vocal politician that purposely seeks to divide our country for her selfish, progressive beliefs. If they are going to seek publicity – in this hypocritical manner – they open themselves up for critique and comment.

    • Being “judgemental” means one disgrees with left/liberals and is otherwise a “racist”; being “non-judgemental” is being supprtive of left/liberals and/or an acceptable left/liberal one’s self (see also “brain-dead”).

  3. These phonies are nauseating …. ‘Spreading the wealth’ is a common term among the left… I think I’ll e-mail a couple of them and see if they will help me meet my mortgage pymnt. this month… Bet they would tell me ‘where to go’, huh… LOL

  4. The reason the MORONS don’t ask anything of these few fat cats are because they are ALL Socialist and Marxist, and they are backed by Bama himself and his Socialist People in Congress. A person would have to be BLIND not to see this comming! They ALL need to be in one of their FEMA Camps, and throw away the key, keep the TRAITORS locked up for as long as they are breathing! Semper Fi.

  5. This just shows how stupid wealthy celebs can truly be.

  6. Roseanne’s idea of beheading could start with this list, her first!

  7. Don’t judge anyone. Never Judge Anyone

    • By saying “Don’t judge anyone. Never Judge Anyone,” you are precisely doing just that — judging us.
In so doing, you are an apt illustration for this post, “Hypocrites”.

  8. An apt illustration indeed. More appropriately a double dealing slime skunk!
