Alexander Burns of Politico reports on a most interesting exchange that took place during the White House briefing last Thursday, June 10, 2010.
In the last question of the day, a correspondent for WorldNetDaily, Lester Kinsolving, asked White House press secretary Robert Gibbs why Obama is using a Social Security number reserved for Connecticut applicants, although Obama had never lived in Connecticut nor has any associations with the state. (See my post, “Obama Uses Dead Connecticuter’s Social Security Number.”)
Instead of answering Kinsolving’s question, Gibbs tried to make the reporter out to be a buffoon, saying he was “amazed” by the query. The best defense being a good offense, Gibbs turned on the reporter with this non sequitur: “Do you think the president was born here, Lester? Do you think the president was born in the United States?”
Kinsolving sensibly replied, “I don’t know,” and added that he would like to see Obama’s birth certificate. To which Gibbs said: “I’ve seen the real birth certificate! I put it on the Internet.”
No, Gibbs. You did not see the “real” birth certificate because it doesn’t exist. None other than Honolulu’s Chief Elections Clerk Tim Adams recently stated that Hawaii does not have a long-form “real” birth certificate for Obama. Nor do the two hospitals in Honolulu, Queen’s Medical Center and Kapiolani Medical Center, have birth records and attending physicians for Obama.
Gibbs, we are not fooled by your deflection of Kinsolving’s question, so we now repeat the question:
Why is Obama — who was not born in Connecticut, has never lived in Connecticut, and has no association with Connecticut — using a social security number that begins with 042, a prefix reserved only for the state of Connecticut?
Answer the question, Gibbs!
