Yesterday, my wife stepped off her train at the end of the day clutching a Metro newspaper, and laughing in shock. She said, “You won’t believe this article!” When I read it I was so pissed off that I put up the following post to display the utter mendacity of the local press. In my haste, I neglected to see if the story had been addressed already on FOTM. It had, much more thoroughly, by Dr. Eowyn, in her brilliant post, “Mob of black bikers terrorize Asian family in SUV in NYC.” 😀

Here we have the way the bike gang story is being told in Massachusetts. So my question is, “Are you going to believe this newspaper story, or are you going to believe your lying eyes?” ~ TD

Lawrence biker paralyzed in New York road rage incident

A Lawrence father has been left paralyzed after a road rage incident in New York City.

Edwin Mieses is in a coma, according to his wife Dayana.

Police said the incident began Sunday when the driver of a black Range Rover became surrounded by motorcyclists on the West Side Highway who were on a group ride headed to Times Square in New York. When one of the bikers stopped quickly, he collided with the Range Rover.
The bikers were upset about the incident and confronted the driver. They even attempted to slash his tires, police said.

The driver, 33-year-old Alexian Lian, whose wife and 2-year-old daughter were also in the car, drove his SUV through the group, injuring a group of bikers along the way, including Mieses. The incident was caught on video from a camera installed on one of the bikers’ helmets.

Dayana Mieses said her husband was struck while trying to help one of the injured bikers.

“He went to help someone,” Dayana told WBZ.     (What?!!!)

Mieses was left paralyzed and in a coma, with severe injuries to his heart, lungs and ribs. Lien was later pulled out of his car and beaten. His wife and 2-year-old daughter were passengers in his SUV.

Police do not intend to file any charges in the incident.

A Facebook page has been set up in support of Mieses.

The NYPD is searching for other motorcyclists involved in the incident.

Me again: We watched this gang, including the injured biker, force the family in the SUV to a stop. The biker who was first bumped was deliberately slowing down in front of the family. We’ve seen people forced to a stop and murdered this way in places like Colombia. The man who is supposedly trying to help the injured biker was one of the ones who were scaring the hell out of the family.

Yes, I call for justice, too, and when (if) justice is served, it will not go well for this gang. ~TD

  1. I watched a much longer video the other day, from when they started harassing the family. It looks like they singled him out because they were driving an expensive vehicle. I had heard of this before when people cause accidents to collect insurance. These thugs were driving without plates and over the weeks had harassed the countryside. They called themselves some mind of daredevils, and had been in Manhatten before raising cane.
The police we aware of the group, but why did they have to drive 50 blocks and never come across help?
I saw where they dragged him out of the car and beat him until he was faced down in the street. Considering the number of thugs, I would have driven off also.
Some of them got hurt, too dang bad, justice was served.

  2. Excellent, TD! I’ve seen other reports that are the same as this lying biased report in Massachusetts. I also saw a pic that showed two bikers smashing Alexian Lien’s SUV after the video had ended. The two thugs had taken their bike-helmets off, revealing without a doubt they’re black.

  3. There is a bike store in the town next to Nothingham, MA, that caters to these types of bikers. I would be willing to bet some of the guys I’ve seen here were among the perps in the NYC incident. Their swarming behavior is the same as I’ve seen here.

  4. Outrageous.

  5. This is the channel of the user that provided the 6 min. video. They have videos two years old of their gang behavior. It’s not like this started last week in NYC.

  6. They were also illegally blocking on ramps to the highway……and, no police around to stop it. I wonder how many policemen saw what was going on and ignored it?

  7. Another user with several more minutes of footage before the incident:

    • Thanks Number 41. Great stuff.
And I think we need to put up a special tribute to honor the good people who make GoPro cameras.

  8. Golly, what “social justice” coming to if black bikers can’t terrorize well-off Asian families– we need Asian SUV control and to eliminate those evil AR-15 “assault weapons” too, it’s Bush’s fault! (The predicable left/liberal reaction, of course.)

  9. This reminds me of the fictional newspaper headline:
