A tale of two searches…
Type in “kids being taught they are white supremacists” and you can see for yourself Google’s agenda.
DuckDuckGo search results:
Google search results:
Divisive, racist and vindictive is not a way to go through life, Google. Yet hard to avoid when you have an extreme case of TDS and a narrative to promote.

Well,I can’t blame this on Harris/Biden,as much as I’d love to. It’s been happening for years now,and as it goes on,it gets more prevalent. BTW-I discovered Firefox has also jumped the shark,so I tried to get it off my Computer, but so far it chooses to not uninstall it. The Computer has something going on that I can’t fix-it takes fits of slowing to a stop, then a big yellow bar at the top of the screen that says a program is slowing my computer down. What do I want to do? The selections are:Close my screen or Wait for it. My… Read more »
I found one of my browsers changed its search engine on its own to Bing, which I despise… Then my password on FB somehow got changed (it was saved in 3 password managers). Luckily it allowed me to change it and logon so I can keep a tab on what’s being done and said.
Oh, it may have been Edge that auto-updated and changed its search engine to Bing. Not cool. I did NOT choose to update.
Go for ‘Brave’ can use DuckDuck with it…few difficulties.
Go to Linux, get an entirely open source operating system,,,,dump msft, google, samsung, apple,
Linux will give you Firefox, but you can also download Brave as a browser, which will let you use DuckDuck…..much better performance, do not have to Update twice a day.
Mine does that too–very frequently, doesn’t bother me.
I’m windows 7 still.
I have been on DuckDuck for 2-3 years. No google ever.
If you have Samsung, Apple, Msft, you have Google….go to Linux and get open source Operating System that won’t try to control you.
Husband has been in tech for 25 years. We have Bing, but don’t use it. I’ve never been a technological genius;)
Don’t know where this should be posted but President T is speaking in Alamo, TX anytime now. NOT the Alamo. RSBN has over 500,000 waiting. Not sure the point of him doing this. Maybe his ((son-in-law)) told him to….
It was on CSpan. He was driving up interest for maintaining the wall so Biden and his stooges don’t immediately tear it down, as some have threatened. The wall there looked to be 30′ tall. Steel with concrete and rebar inside; un-scalable plates on top.
Startpage seems to be the worst.
Why? I’ve tried it a few times…
I’ve used startpage for years, even when it was Ixquick many years ago. I have no problem.
Startpage sends your search request to google via proxy, acts as the middleman, so google doesn’t know who’s using their search engine. Startpage will lack a lot of the images google can come up with
Yeah. It’s crapulous. Last night I watched a PBS special (I know, but OSU was losing) on “Life in America” where they did cameos on people in all 50 states in 70minutes. Listed as 90minutes, but the last 20 were on another POC micro-special… All the POC cameos were admirable in some “PC” way. Many were LGBTQ (e.g., Black and white gay couple in TX) or “disadvantaged”. Take a guess about the majority of white folks shown? Those who were not incredibly poor and sick (and even some that were)? ALL white supremacists. Some were actually klansmen and women. More… Read more »
Preserving ones race is not racist.
I dont see Hippos Humping Grizzly bears.
You got it! “Birds of a feather stick together”.
Humans with different color skin are the same species. The analogy does not stand.
It’s also Startpage.com
Um….Duck Duck Go uses the Google search engine, so………
Then why do they have such strikingly different results for the same phrase?
In my experience they used to be nearly identical, as if DDG was just a portal to G… it’s looking better recently. BTW, other search engines also seem to present G results. I don’t know if that’s fluke or by design (e.g., via DNS poaching), but it’s disheartening.
Unlike Duckduckgo, Google also keeps a history of your internet searches, unless you delete your history.
Is safari safe?
If you use plugins/extensions like AdBlock Plus and Ghostery, NoScript, Privacy Badger, Facebook Container, Cookie Manager, etc., it’s safer, but they will break many sites (so important things like paying utilities or buying essentials becomes a chore). Many of those helpers are built in to browsers like Brave and Avast Secure Browser, which I like because they seem more integrated to work together by design. Worse, if you are using a Mac and refuse to upgrade the OS due to application compatibility, Safari will stop being updated, so you’re left on your own with respect to malware etc. Just like… Read more »
