How do you make a 5-year-old sit still?

Well, if you are the federal government you spend $500 Million on a program to address that, seriously! interviewed Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius on Wednesday and said that the administration’s new $500 million early learning initiative is designed to deal with children from birth onward to prevent such problems as 5-year olds who “can’t sit still” in a kindergarten classroom.
“You really need to look at the range of issues, because if a 5-year-old can’t sit still, it is unlikely that they can do well in a kindergarten class, and it has to be the whole range of issues that go into healthy child development,” Sebelius said during a telephone news conference on Wednesday to announce the Race to the Top Early Learning Challenge.
But, but – I thought Michelle Obama wanted kids to move?  Isn’t that the goal of her Let’s Move! campaign?

This is a function of the home.
As we become increasingly post-Christian as a nation and as people abdicate their God-ordained responsibilities, we will have to suffer Big Government, Nanny State absurdity and intrusion into every aspect of our lives.

Find teachers who move around faster than the children, and problem solved.

perfect example of how the left burns through money as if it were water. remember they are hoping people will forget about the massive healthcare bill, hammer them to repeal, defund. The commies in plain sight are warning people about fines this morning. I don’t want their minds anywhere around children, they are pathetic examples.
