When I am assigned a History course as part of my regular teaching assignment (all the other 4 courses are art and art history)….I ALWAYS give the US Citizenship test to my kids (6-8th grades) at the beginning of the year and then again at the end of the year…..I have NEVER EVER had a student even come CLOSE to “passing” the citizendhip test EXCEPT for 2- 6th-graders in different years ( first language Spanish) helping MOTHERS try to pass the citizenship test/ 🙂 This means that, my students, on the whole, study ONLY for individual gain….irregardless of grades, formal… Read more »
