For once, some good news out of Chicago.

Chicago Tribune: A robbery was thwarted at a Southwest Side corner store Saturday night when a patron with a concealed carry license shot and killed an armed robber, authorities said.
Citing preliminary information, police said a man walked into a store in the 2700 block of West 51st Street in the Gage Park neighborhood around 7 p.m., announced a robbery to an employee working behind the counter and displayed a handgun.
Another employee came from the back of the store and the gunman pointed his weapon at her, police said. He then made her go to the back of the store, which also serves as a currency exchange.
After that, a customer who was also inside the business pulled out a gun and opened fire at the robber, killing him, police said. The robber was believed to be in his 40s, police said.
Police said the shooter has a valid concealed carry license and a valid firearm owner’s identification card.

  1. Too bad he couldn’t have killed him 2-3 more times.

  2. what are the odds that someone would be protected by a person with a firearm instead of murdered in chicago of all places?
just goes to show more people need to practice their 2nd amendment rights, esp. in chicago

  3. Being that this happened in Chicago , with Barry’s ” buddy ” as the mayor ,
Odds are there will be some dirt dug up by the l.s.m. on the ” good citizen ” Because this does not fit the template about private ownership of weapons .
And being that it happened on the S.S. , odds are it was a ” poor , misguided , ” my boy was a good boy ” ………..the Black Lives Matter crowd will be out in force .
Even if the c.c.l. holder was a fellow black , it won’t matter . They have to get rid of weapons , at all cost . Nothing good can come from personal firearms ownership . It doesn’t matter how many lives are saved .
Because the bottom line is this …..These piss-ants are worried about the day the barrels of the guns are aiming their way .

  4. This just goes to prove precisely what firearms are: They are merely useful tools that are supposed to be used rightly. The “morality quotient” of a firearm is exactly equivalent to the moral intent of the one using it, no more, no less.
Responsible gun ownership necessarily dictates that one know his weapons and how to use them. It necessarily includes adequate knowledge of gun etiquette, and even extends to making one’s own ammunition, when possible. It’s quite involved. It’s interesting. And it can be fun. But of the utmost importance, responsible gun ownership and use is good civics and good citizenship, for this reason: We were put on this Earth to fight Evil.
The concealed-carry customer may have felt terrible about what he had to do. No Matter: Morally, he did the right thing, and feelings ARE NOT facts.

Score one for the second amendment?? Our “Second Amendment” says U.S. citizens need no stinking concealed carry license, or no stinking firearms owner identification card. Hardly represents the free exercise of our Constitutional right, when they were obviously looking and hoping for an excuse to prosecute the hero.

  6. JUSTICE PREVAILS,in the midst of one of America’s most un-just environments!!
Counting down to the day the deceased’s family files a wrongful death lawsuit against the gun owner….

  7. Hussein Ogooma will say the gun owner acted stupidly and then send the “Justice” Department after him for denying the low-life thug robber of his “civil rights.”

  8. Reblogged this on Lost Dudeist Astrology.

  9. In a perfect world…either EVERYONE would have a gun…or NO ONE would have gun….In a perfect world…either EVERYONE would have a nuclear bomb…or NO ONE would have one…..As I assess these situations….there is NO in-between, which we’ve been trying to achieve in both cases for umpteen years…to no good end. Being a thinking woman, I tend toward the “EVERYONE” category in both cases. At least we ALL would know capabilities and we ALL would know outcome if either were employed… either case…it would be a Dirty Harry moment…”Make My Day.” In either case, you’d get to choose HOW to be annhilated….IF YOU DARED to try annihilation on your own terms….a “no win, no win” situation!
