Glory in the Flower

What though the radiance which was once so bright

Be now forever taken from my sight,

Though nothing can bring back the hour

Of splendor in the grass,

of glory in the flower…

From “Ode” (1807) by William Wordsworth (1770-1850)

Beautiful pics and beautiful poem, Eowyn. I fear that today’s high school students are not exposed to some of history’s best literature. Heck, even colleges seem more focused on things like global studies than literature.
