Fox's 'Family Guy' portrays Jesus as sex-crazed adulterer

Hal G. P. Colebatch, in Return of the Heroes, observed that “the arts not only mirror social and cultural values, but are powerful forces to shape lives and behaviour.”
When Barack Obama was elected president in 2008, he vowed to “transform” America. And indeed he did. Like their man Obama, the Left have been “transforming” America by perverting, polluting, degrading pop culture, pop entertainment, and pop music, among which are cartoons, now called “animation.”
Gone are the days of truly inventive and funny cartoons like Bugs Bunny and Wile E. Coyote of Warner Brothers’ Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies. In their place are unfunny “adult animation,” the most puerile of which is Fox Broadcasting Company’s Family Guy — an animation sitcom created by the vile Seth MacFarlane, about the Griffins, a family consisting of a mom, an obese dad named Peter, 3 children, and their pet dog Brian who talks and spews obscenities.
Family Guy has opened a new vicious front on the War on Christmas and on Christianity in America with a Christmas-themed episode last Sunday night titled “The 2,000-Year-Old Virgin” that portrays Jesus Christ as a sex-crazed adulterer.
Family Guy
Billy Halloway reports for The Blaze, Dec. 8, 2014, that “The 2,000-Year-Old Virgin” is about Peter Griffin and his friends trying to help Christ lose his virginity, according to Christian Today.
“After running into Jesus at the Quahog Mall, Peter is stunned to discover that the Son of God is still a virgin,” reads the episode’s synopsis. “So, he enlists Quagmire and Cleveland to help him throw Jesus the best birthday ever by finding a way to help him become a man.”
At one point during the episode, Jesus told Peter he wants to lose his virginity to Peter’s wife, Lois — a request that Peter agrees to in exchange for a massage chair.
“Look Peter, I know it’s a lot to ask, but if it wasn’t okay I wouldn’t suggest it,” Jesus said while trying to convince Peter to agree.
Later, while speaking with her husband and considering Jesus’ request, Lois said, “The son of God’s first time should be special.”
In the end, Peter and Lois change their mind and decide against the plan after it is revealed that Jesus tricks husbands every year into allowing him to sleep with their wives.
Clearly, the episode was intentionally filled with themes and comments that many Christians would find offensive — a fact that was openly admitted in one scene, as the shows creators poked fun at those they knew would be uncomfortable with the subject matter.
And if there’s any question about the episode’s intention to spark controversy during the holiday season, consider the single line that accompanies its description on the “Family Guy” website. It reads: “Happy Birthday, Jesus.”

Perhaps in fairness to Islam they should portray Mohammed searching for several wives at various daycares around Peter’s town! Or maybe some of his buddies and their sons could dress up for the “holiday” Bacha Bazi party to honor the practice of pedophilia in Muslim countries. Oh Heaven’s no! We wouldn’t want to offend our Muslim brethren now would we? Only Christians and Jews are fair game. I never watch this show (or TV at all) and this sort of garbage is why. I am saddened and disgusted after reading this story. But at least I won’t be the one… Read more »

“Don’t watch anymore television, you must pray without ceasing each day. I request that you also fast & offer many sacrifices every day. Tell my children to pray, fast, & be reconciled with GOD.” Most Holy Mary 9/27

Thank you for this information. I have not watched this show for a while, but I am not surprised. President BHO does not want to hear anything derogatory said about the Apostle; what does he (or any other Muslim or other people, especially politicians and media minions) have to say about the insults of God/Messiah?

I’m wondering where is the outrage from the Christian community who are the majority of this country? That show and the network should be pulled off the air. If it were the pedophile mohammed insulted on tv, muslims would be in the streets demanding the heads of the writers, producers, etc. But because we are Christians…..they get away with it? Boycott fox network…..demand an apology!!! Blaspheming the Son of God. These satanists are truly pathetic….they will answer to God for their despicable acts.

When Family Guy first aired I watched a few of the first season episodes but could not take any more, like a sewage holding tank overflowing, nonstop blasphemy and *&(&^& language plus they always took a joke and beat it to death in an endless loop. Today’s young seem to view vile lowlife shows as quality entertainment. I use my TV now as a large screen monitor for watching old reruns of the original Twilight Zone, Outer Limits some science shows It does still seem strange that the only religious figure that is fair game for very sort of defaming… Read more »

Television lately… check out “reality” shows, too.

This is the reason I never watch that show. When the pilot first aired it was devastatingly funny, but as the episodes began to play it was obvious this humor was going downhill. Hideous.

Can’t say that I’m surprised about this, given earlier family guy aired an episode wherein the vile obese jerk remarked that he could “have any 3 year old girl he wanted”, I quit watching the show after that, and there is no excuse for even trying for that kind of “joke”. You might notice the show was not canceled after that, either, which is telling of the networks that air it.

I knew a woman years ago from a Scandinavian country who was a very nice lady. She was very recollected, self-possessed and self-contained. She was intelligent and articulate, and she cared about and helped other people. Yet for all of her good qualities, the lady was a PAGAN (albeit an honest one). Never ONCE did I ever hear her mention the idea of God, let alone the name of Jesus. I would hate to see her, or others like her, to be lost. So I will pray for her. This is what galls me about atheists: Why do they hate… Read more »

Thank you Dr. Eowyn for this informative post. We never watch this show. But clearly, it is blasphemous and horrible. I pray that they fail and go off the air inasmuch as they have chosen to insult Our Lord.

Notice that none of these shows ever show Mohammed in a demeaning way,
which they should. They are willing to offend Christians but fear Muslim
reaction.

I think SM is portraying what’s out there in certain quarters. I also think Jesus was open to criticism. If they’re daring us to judge them, don’t take the bait unless you actually can sway him. Surely, at some point we recognize the bad and reasons people vent, spew, and assert wacko stuff to some degree. But all things have a limit, all but God. SM has seemed to me to delve into how ppl reallly tick as a regular Joe, and I base my judgement upon that basis first, because it is a generous quality given him or cultivated.… Read more »

you ppl who say bad things about islam in the comments should be ashamed of yourself your the most horrible and low life there are in the world. why not talk about the jews who made this tv show or the christians who help put this show on the air when you cant do anything about it you insult others. they don’t fear muslims they don’t gain anything from degrading islam but if they degrade Christianity they can spread there hate quicker and turn ppl away from Christianity and from god. we muslims believe in jesus too and he means… Read more »
